Ag NPs decked GO composite as a competent and reusable catalyst for ‘ON WATER’ chemoselective synthesis of pyrano[2,3-c:6,5-c′]dipyrazol]-2-ones

We have synthesized and characterized Ag NPs decked GO composite and studied its role as reusable catalyst for the ‘ON WATER’ chemoselective synthesis of pyranodipyrazolones via the reaction of different carbonyl compounds with 3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-one. This method illustrates significant selectivity for pyranodipyrazolones over arylmethylene bispyrazolols and arylmethylenepyrazolones. Synergistic effect of heterogenic nature of water with reactants and Ag NPs/GO had profuse outcome on reaction as indicated by high TOF (18.03 × 10^?5 mol g^?1 min^?1). Furthermore, catalyst was recycled for 7-times without significant loss of activity.     

Derivation of muon spectrum at high energies from the recent JACEE primary cosmic-ray spectrum using Fermilab data on meson production

Summary The energy spectrum of sea level muons in the range (10²÷10⁴) GeV has been calculated from the latest directly measured JACEE primary spectrum using Fermilab results on pp→π^± X and pp→K^± X inclusive reactions. The conventional pion atmospheric diffusion equation after Bugaevet al. has been used in this analysis to account the flux of muons emerged from the multiple generation of mesons in air. The derived muon spectrum has been compared with the earlier magnetic spectrograph data of Durham and Kiel groups. The latest BAKSAN scintillator telescope data is well in agreement with the calculated integral spectrum originated from the meson decays in the range (1÷10⁴) GeV.     

Slow magnetohydrodynamic flow past a circular cylinder

Oseen’ approximations are used to study the slow motion of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid past a circular cylinder in the presence of a uniform aligned magnetic field. Using series truncation method, the analytical solutions for the first three terms in the Fourier sine series expansion of the stream function are obtained. Numerical values of the tangential drag for different values of magnetic interaction parameter and viscous Reynolds number are calculated.     

Composition operators with closed range on the Bloch space

In this note we investigate conditions under which a holomorphic self-map of the unit disk induces a composition operator with closed range on the Bloch space.

     

Completeness properties of the pseudocompact-open topology on <Emphasis Type="Italic">C</Emphasis>(<Emphasis Type="Italic">X</Emphasis>)

This is a study of the completeness properties of the space C _ps (X) of continuous real-valued functions on a Tychonoff space X, where the function space has the pseudocompact-open topology. The properties range from complete metrizability to the Baire space property. Dedicated to Professor Robert A. McCoy     

Preparation,X-ray crystallography,and thermolysis of phenylenediammonium dibromide salts

Phenylenediammonium dibromide (PDADBr) salts have been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The thermal decomposition of PDADBr has been studied by thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). Kinetic parameters have been evaluated using model fitting and isoconversional methods. The thermolytic pathways have also been suggested which involve proton transfer as a primary step to regenerate parent amine and HBr. Interaction between amine and HBr at higher temperature yields gaseous products.     

Palladium-catalyzed regioselective synthesis of benzosultams from functionalized ynamides and benzotriazoles/tetrazoles

Palladium-catalyzed highly regioselective synthesis of benzotriazole appended benzosultams by the tandem-cyclization of functionalized ynamides with benzotriazoles has been accomplished. This transformation involves the formation of both CN and CC bonds in a single step. Donor solvents appear to enhance the yields of the products. The methodology is also applicable for the generation of triazole/tetrazole appended benzosultams.
