Treatment of 1H-4,5-dihydro-3-aryl-5-(2-hydroxyaryl)pyrazole with o-dibromoxylene under liquid-liquid phase transfer catalytic conditions using tetra-n-butylammonium hydrogen sulphate or [18]-crown-6 as PT catalyst, benzene/chloroform as organic phase and 50% aqueous potassium hydroxide as second phase, afforded novel 2,5,9,10-tetrahydro [7,8-g] benzo-8-arylpyrazolo[4,5-e] [1,5-b] benzoxazonines.  相似文献

Abstract

A new and practical synthesis of montelukast sodium, an antiasthmatic drug, is described. The key steps are the synthesis of nitrile derivative 4 by chiral reduction of keto ester 9 using (?)-DIP-Cl, synthesis of vinylquinoline framework 16 by Wittig reaction, and Heck coupling of nitrile 4 with vinylquinoline 16. The method is operationally simple and suitable for the industrial production of the drug substance.

Amino acids based surfactants belong to the class of surfactants with high biodegradability, low toxicity and excellent surface active properties. They possess excellent emulsifying, detergency properties and form fine lather. These surfactants are environment friendly, mild to skin and eyes, and have hard water tolerance. This article reviews types, synthesis, various surface properties such as cmc (critical micelle concentration), surface tension, phase behavior, Krafft temperature, and interfacial adsorption of these surfactants. The biological properties such as antimicrobial activity, aquatic toxicity, biodegradability and hemolytic activity have also been focused. The various applications of amino acid based surfactants in the area of life sciences such as gene transfection, formation of liposomes, and drug delivery systems have also been reviewed.  相似文献

The effect of different kinds of additives (electrolytes, nonelectrolytes, hydrotropes, and surfactants) on the cloud point (CP) of low molecular weight and narrow dispersed poly(n-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) synthesized via reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) controlled radical polymerization was examined. The CP showed a concentration dependent variation and it is greatly modified in the presence of additives. The size of the random polymer coil at 30°C obtained from dynamic light scattering (DLS) measurements is often influenced by the presence of additives. We have explained the effects of different additives on PNIPAM in terms of their interaction with polymer and resultant changes in the coil structure.  相似文献

Synthesis and ion transport properties of hot-pressed solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs), (1-x) PEO: x KI, where x is the content of KI in wt%, are reported. A hot-press technique has been used for the formation of the polymeric membranes in place of the usual solution cast method. The composition (80PEO:20KI) was identified as the highest conducting polymer electrolyte on the basis of compositional dependent conductivity studies of PEO:KI films. A conductivity enhancement of more than two orders of magnitude from that of the pure PEO was achieved. Materials characterization and ion transport mechanism were explained by using various experimental techniques.  相似文献

Abstract

The director distribution in a supertwist nematic cell, containing La-Roche liquid crystal mixture 3010, has been studied extensively using Berreman's computer simulation approach. It is seen that the director distribution in the cell depends critically on the total twist angle θt, the surface tilt angle θo and the ratio of the cell thickness to the pitch d/p. The values of θo and φt have been optimized to yield a small bistability (ΔV = 0.06 V) and a relatively large change in the midplane tilt angle (Δθm = 51°) in an unstrained cell with ?t = (d/p) × 360°. The optimum values of θo and Øt were found to be 15° and 240°, respectively. The effect of varying d/p on the director distribution has also been studied in great detail in supertwist cells with θo = 30° and Øt = 270°. Some interesting features in understrained and overstrained cells have been observed.  相似文献

The phase transition behaviour of the chiral liquid crystal CE6 doped with spherical surface-functionalised CdSe nanoparticles has been examined by means of high-resolution adiabatic scanning calorimetry and polarising microscopy. The addition of nanoparticles results in an essentially stabilised blue phase III. The phase diagram is displayed upon heating and cooling and the enthalpy changes involved in the conversion between the blue phases are determined. The dispersion of functionalised nanoparticles is prominent for the stabilisation of blue phase III, which is potentially useful for applications, especially if applied on liquid crystals that exhibit blue phases close to room temperature.  相似文献

The reaction of CuCl2·2H2O with 3,5-diisopropylpyrazole (PziPr2H) in the presence of sodium parafluorobenzoate (Na-p-FBz) resulted in the formation of an oxo-chloro-bridged tetranuclear complex [Cu4(PziPr2H)4(μ-O)(μ-Cl)6] 1, whereas the reaction of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O with PziPr2H in the presence of different benzoates gave [Cu(PziPr2H)2(μ-OCH3)]2(NO3)2 2, [Cu(PziPr2H)3(NO3)(p-ClBz)]·CH3CN 3, [Cu(p-CH3Bz)2(PziPr2H)]2·2CH3CN 4, [Cu(p-OCH3Bz)2(CH3CN)]2·4CH3CN 5 and [Cu(p-CNBz)(CH3CN)]2 6. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies confirmed these formulations. DNA binding studies for these complexes were performed by means of UV-visible absorption titration and viscosity measurements. Gel electrophoresis studies showed that hydroxyl radicals are involved in DNA cleavage in the presence of the complexes.  相似文献
