We report the formation of microtower structures, observed on multishot nanosecond laser irradiation of liquid metals (Ga, In, Sn–Pb alloy, Wood’s metal). Ablation in a reactive ambient gas (air, nitrogen, sulfur hexafluoride, nitrogen trifluoride) is shown to lead to a tower-like structure growing on the irradiated surface at a rate of 3–20 μm per pulse depending on laser fluence and the types of metal and ambient gas. The interplay between different processes in the heat-affected zone of the irradiated samples is analyzed, including ablation, thermal expansion, temperature variations of viscosity, surface tension, thermal stresses, capillary effects, and surface chemistry. A clear picture of microtower origin has been established, and qualitative modeling can explain the formation mechanism.  相似文献

The possibility of phenol determination by cyclic voltammetry (CVA) on electrochemically modified glassy-carbon electrodes (GCE) was studied. The effect of the rate of linear potential sweep on the sensitivity of phenol determination was investigated. The adsorption nature of the analytical signal of phenol was revealed. The formation of the hydroquinone-quinone couple by the electrochemical oxidation of phenol was proved by CVA.  相似文献

The rebinding of CO to myoglobin (Mb) from locations around the active site is studied using a combination of molecular dynamics and stochastic simulations for native and L29F mutant Mb. The interaction between the dissociated ligand and the protein environment is described by the recently developed fluctuating three-point charge model for the CO molecule. Umbrella sampling along trajectories, previously found to sample the binding site (B) and the Xe4 pocket, is used to construct free-energy profiles for the ligand escape. On the basis of the Smoluchowski equation, the relaxation of different initial population distributions is followed in space and time. For native Mb at room temperature, the calculated rebinding times are in good agreement with experimental values and give an inner barrier of 4.3 kcal/mol between the docking site B (Mb...CO) and the A state (bound MbCO), compared to an effective barrier, Heff, of 4.5 kcal/mol and barriers into the majority conformation A1 and the minority conformation A3 of 2.4 and 4.3 kcal/mol, respectively. In the case of the L29F mutant, the free-energy surface is flatter and the dynamics is much more rapid. As was found in experiment, escape to the Xe4 pocket is facile for L29F whereas, for native Mb, the barriers to this site are larger. At lower temperatures, the rebinding dynamics is delayed by orders of magnitude also due to increased barriers between the docking sites.  相似文献

The effect of enhanced permeability and retention is often not sufficient for highly effective cancer therapy with nanoparticles, and the development of active targeted drug delivery systems based on nanoparticles is probably the main direction of modern cancer medicine. To meet the challenge, we developed polymer PLGA nanoparticles loaded with fluorescent photosensitive xanthene dye, Rose Bengal, and decorated with HER2-recognizing artificial scaffold protein, affibody ZHER2:342. The obtained 170 nm PLGA nanoparticles possess both fluorescent and photosensitive properties. Namely, under irradiation with the green light of 540 nm nanoparticles, they produced reactive oxygen species leading to cancer cell death. The chemical conjugation of PLGA with anti-HER2 affibody resulted in the selective binding of nanoparticles only to HER2-overexpressing cancer cells. HER2 is a receptor tyrosine kinase that belongs to the EGFR/ERbB family and is overexpressed in 30% of breast cancers, thus serving as a clinically relevant oncomarker. However, the standard targeting molecules such as full-size antibodies possess serious drawbacks, such as high immunogenicity and the need for mammalian cell production. We believe that the developed affibody-decorated targeted photosensitive PLGA nanoparticles will provide new solutions for ongoing problems in cancer diagnostics and treatment, as well in cancer theranostics.  相似文献
