The g-factor of the first 2+ state in198Hg,200Hg and202Hg has been measured using the thin foil Transient Field technique. The values were calibrated to the known g-factor of the
first 5/2− state in199Hg. The levels were Coulomb excited by 217 MeV nickel ions with gadolinium acting as ferromagnetic medium. The obtained values
are rather constant and contradict a previously observed dip at200Hg. Two other g-factors have been remeasured in199Hg. 相似文献

We report on a precision measurement of gravitational acceleration using ultracold strontium atoms confined in an amplitude-modulated vertical optical lattice. An uncertainty Δg/g ≈ 10(-7) is reached by measuring at the 5th harmonic of the Bloch frequency. The value obtained with this microscopic quantum system is consistent with the one measured with a classical gravimeter. Using lattice modulation to prepare the atomic sample, we also achieve high visibility of Bloch oscillations for ~ 20 s. These results can be of relevance for testing gravitational redshift and Newtonian law at micrometer scale. 相似文献

The SIDDHARTA experiment used this beam to perform unprecedented precision measurements on kaonic atoms, while the AMADEUS experiment plans to perform in the coming years precision measurements on kaon?Cnuclei interactions at low-energies, in particular to study the kaonic nuclei. The radical polymerization of vinyl acetate (VAc) is moderated by iron(II) acetylacetonate (Fe(acac)2) by the organometallic route (OMRP), as well as by degenerative transfer polymerization (DTP) when in the presence of excess radicals, through the formation of thermally labile organometallic FeIII dormant species. The poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc)‐FeIII(acac)2 dormant species has been isolated in the form of an oligomer and characterized by 1H NMR, EPR, and IR methods, and then used as a single‐component initiator for the OMRP of VAc. The degree of polymerization of this isolated oligomeric species demonstrates the limited ability of Fe(acac)2, relative to the Co(acac)2 congener, to rapidly trap the growing PVAc radical chain. Control under OMRP conditions is improved by the presence of Lewis bases, especially PMe2Ph. An escapade in the world of sulfenate anions is described and shows that these nucleophiles, despite being described as unstable species, are mild and efficient sulfinylating agents, allowing access to a variety of allyl and aryl sulfoxides under smooth and operationally very simple conditions. Their use in asymmetric catalysis is also possible allowing the preparation of enantio-enriched sulfoxides. New excited states have been observed in the neutron deficient isotope 98Ag following the 58Ni+50Cr →108Te* heavy–ion reaction. One of these states may be interpreted as a maximum spin aligned state of the πg9/2
−3νg7/2 configuration. Other possible interpretations within the nuclear shell model are discussed as well.

A rotational band with 15 transitions has been observed in142Eu in an experiment with the GASP Ge detector array by the110Pd(37Cl,5n) reaction. The average energy spacing between the neighbouring transitions is 60 keV, which is similar to the energy spacings in the superdeformed bands in the mass 140 region. Excited states of 65Ge were populated via the 12C + 58Ni (261 MeV) reaction using the NORDBALL detector array equipped with charged-particle and neutron detector systems for reaction channel separation. On the basis of γγ-coincidence relations and angular distribution ratios a significantly extended level scheme was constructed up to E x = 9 MeV and J π = (33/2?).
