The detection of TNT and related nitroaromatic compounds in seawater is of great interest. Electrochemical techniques can be applied for detection purposes since nitroaromatic compounds contain easily reducible nitro groups. In this study, we investigate the performance of thermally reduced graphenes prepared by three different oxidative methods: Hummers, Staudenmaier and Hofmann methods with consequent thermal exfoliation. The Hofmann method‐based graphene was found to exhibit the highest sensitivity in detecting TNT electrochemically. Extended study on the detection of TNT in seawater using the graphene material provided significant improvements in the detection sensitivity. These findings will have profound impacts on the detection of nitroaromatic explosives in seawater. 相似文献

Classical continuum models exhibit strong mesh dependency during softening. One method to regularize the problem is to introduce a length scale parameter via the nonlocal formulation. However, standard nonlocal enhancement (either by integral or gradient formulation) may serve only as a partial localization limiter for many material models. The “over-nonlocal” formulation, where the weight for the nonlocal value is greater than unity and the excesses compensated by assigning a negative weight to the local value, is able to fully regularize certain material models when standard nonlocal enhancement fails to do so. A plastic-damage model for concrete is formulated with this over-nonlocal enhancement via the gradient approach and the full regularizing capabilities demonstrated. 相似文献

Classical constitutive models exhibit strong mesh dependency during softening and the numerical responses tend towards perfectly brittle behavior upon mesh refinements. Such sensitivity can be avoided by adopting the gradient-enhanced formulation. The implicit approach incorporates the gradient contributions indirectly via an additional Helmholtz equation and requires only C0 continuity. The explicit approach computes the gradient terms directly from the local field variables. Assuming a weak satisfaction of the yield function, C1 continuity or C0 continuity with additional degrees of freedoms in the penalty approach is required. This makes the explicit method less attractive computationally. However, the explicit approach is able to fully regularize some material models where the standard implicit method fails to perform. Drawing analogy to the over-nonlocal integral formulation, the over-implicit-gradient framework is proposed. In addition, an alternative framework for the explicit gradient method requiring only C0 continuity is proposed. The regularizing effects of the abovementioned two gradient frameworks show promising applications to strain-softening materials. 相似文献

Current techniques for surface-roughness measurements can be classified into two broad categories: those using a measuring stylus which requires direct contact with the test object and those using non-contacting laser techniques. In this paper, a whole-field speckle method is employed to determine metallic-surface-roughness. The technique enables evaluation of the roughness of particular points on a surface. Six sets of surfaces prepared by a spark-erosion process with roughness ranging from 0·4–12·5 μm have been tested. A priori error estimates for the Rosenau equation, which is a K-dV like Rosenau equation modelled to describe the dynamics of dense discrete systems, have been studied by one of the authors. But since a priori error bounds contain the unknown solution and its derivatives, it is not effective to control error bounds with only a given step size. Thus we need to estimate a posteriori errors in order to control accuracy of approximate solutions using variable step sizes. A posteriori error estimates of the Rosenau equation are obtained by a discontinuous Galerkin method and the stability analysis is discussed for the dual problem. Numerical results on a posteriori error and wave propagation are given, which are obtained by using various spatial and temporal meshes controlled automatically by a posteriori error. 相似文献

We report on the growth of cubic spinel ZnCo2O4 thin films by reactive magnetron sputtering and bipolarity of their conduction type by tuning of oxygen partial pressure ratio in the sputtering gas mixture. Crystal structure of zinc cobalt oxide films sputtered in an oxygen partial pressure ratio of 90% was found to change from wurtzite Zn1−xCoxO to spinel ZnCo2O4 with an increase of the sputtering power ratio between the Co and Zn metal targets, DCo/DZn, from 0.1 to 2.2. For a fixed DCo/DZn of 2.0 yielding single-phase spinel ZnCo2O4 films, the conduction type was found to be dependent on the oxygen partial pressure ratio: n-type and p-type for the oxygen partial pressure ratio below ∼70% and above ∼85%, respectively. The electron and hole concentrations for the ZnCo2O4 films at 300 K were as high as 1.37×1020 and 2.81×1020 cm−3, respectively, with a mobility of more than 0.2 cm2/V s and a conductivity of more than 1.8 S cm−1. 相似文献

The immobilization of glucose oxidase (GOx), using self assembled monolayers (SAMs) on gold surfaces, was investigated by grazing angle FT-IR spectroscopy, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) in conjunction with confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). To find an optimum condition for the maximum GOx loading density on gold surfaces, different cleaning protocols were examined. The loading density of GOx on surfaces was investigated by AFM and CLSM. In particular, CLSM was more effective for identifying the GOx density than AFM, since its scanning speed is much faster and it covers a larger area. Based on CLSM images of the GOx immobilized on the surfaces, it was concluded that the pre-cleaning process of gold substrates using different solvents, such as acetone, ethanol and 2-propanol, is very important for enhancing the GOx loading density.
