A series of side‐chain‐tethered copolymers containing the N‐(2‐ethylhexyl)‐N′‐(thiophene‐3‐yl)‐3,4:9,10‐perylenebis(dicarboximide) (thiophene‐PDI) moieties and 4,4‐diethylhexyl‐cyclopenta[2,1‐b:3,4‐b′]dithiophene unit were synthesized via Grignard metathesis polymerizations. With the incorporation of pendent perylenebis(dicarboximide) (PDI) moieties as acceptor side chains and thiophene as the donor backbone, the copolymers exhibited the intramolecular donor–acceptor characteristic and displayed a panchromatic absorption ranging from 290 to 1100 nm and ideal bandgaps of 1.49 to 1.52 eV. Due to the coplanarity of PDI moieties, the charge separation and transfer process were more effective and enhanced after photoexcitation. When increased the weight ratio of PC61BM:polymer to 3, the Jsc could be raised significantly. The value of bandgap decreased slightly, and both Voc and Jsc showed an upward trend with the increase of molar ratio of thiophene‐PDI unit from 50% (the copolymer P11) to 75% (the copolymer P13). The polymer/PC61BM devices have shown a significant improvement from 0.45 to 1.66% with a judicious modulation. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Nanocontrast agents have great potential in magnetic resonance (MR) molecular imaging applications for clinical diagnosis. We synthesized Au(3)Cu(1) (gold and copper) nanoshells that showed a promising MR contrast effect. For in vitro MR images, the large proton r1 relaxivities brightened T(1)-weighted images. As for the proton-dephasing effect in T(2), Au(3)Cu(1) lightened MR images at the low concentration of 0.125 mg mL(-1) (3.84 x 10(-7) mM), and then the signal continuously decreased as the concentration increased. For in vivo MR imaging, Au(3)Cu(1) nanocontrast agents enhanced the contrast of blood vessels and suggested their potential use in MR angiography as blood-pool agents. We propose that (1) the cooperativity originating from the form of the nanoparticles and (2) the large surface area coordinated to water from their porous hollow morphology are important for efficient relaxivity. In a cytotoxicity and animal survival assay, Au(3)Cu(1) nanocontrast agents showed a dose-dependent toxic effect: the viability rate of experimental mice reached 83% at a dose of 20 mg kg(-1) and as much as 100% at 2 mg kg(-1). 相似文献

We aim at developing methods to track minimal energy solutions of time-independent m-component coupled discrete nonlinear Schrödinger (DNLS) equations. We first propose a method to find energy minimizers of the 1-component DNLS equation and use it as the initial point of the m-component DNLS equations in a continuation scheme. We then show that the change of local optimality occurs only at the bifurcation points. The fact leads to a minimal energy tracking method that guides the choice of bifurcation branch corresponding to the minimal energy solution curve. By combining all these techniques with a parameter-switching scheme, we successfully compute a non-radially symmetric energy minimizer that can not be computed by existing numerical schemes straightforwardly. 相似文献

Coherent optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) has recently been demonstrated beyond 100 Gb/s using orthogonal band multiplexing (OBM). OBM-OFDM gives a multitude of benefits in implementing high-speed optical OFDM transmission. We investigate the system sensitivity to the guard band of OBM-OFDM. The result suggests that when the guard band equals a multiple of the subcarrier spacing, the Q penalty practically vanishes. We also show that two OFDM bands can be demodulated simultaneously with one fast Fourier transform, owing to interband orthogonality, and its performance is almost the same as one-band detection. 相似文献

In this paper, we present two control schemes for the unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system. One is an observer-based digital redesign tracker with the state-feedback gain and the feed-forward gain based on off-line observer/Kalman filter identification (OKID) method. The presented control scheme is able to make the unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system to well track the desired reference signal. The other is an active fault tolerance state-space self-tuner using the OKID method and modified autoregressive moving average with exogenous inputs (ARMAX) model-based system identification for unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system with input faults. First, one can apply the off-line OKID method to determine the appropriate (low-) order of the unknown system order and good initial parameters of the modified ARMAX model to improve the convergent speed of recursive extended-least-squares (RELS) method. Then, based on modified ARMAX-based system identification, a corresponding adaptive digital control scheme is presented for the unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system with immeasurable system state. Moreover, in order to overcome the interference of input fault, one can use a fault-tolerant control scheme for unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system by modifying the conventional self-tuner control (STC). The presented method can effectively cope with partially abrupt and/or gradual system input faults. Finally, some illustrative examples including a real circuit system are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented design methodologies. 相似文献

A novel state-space self-tuning control methodology for a nonlinear stochastic hybrid system with stochastic noise/disturbances is proposed in this paper. via the optimal linearization approach, an adjustable NARMAX-based noise model with estimated states can be constructed for the state-space self-tuning control in nonlinear continuous-time stochastic systems. Then, a corresponding adaptive digital control scheme is proposed for continuous-time multivariable nonlinear stochastic systems, which have unknown system parameters, measurement noise/external disturbances, and inaccessible system states. This paper describes a self-organizing fuzzy model of patients undergoing surgery which was created from 10 clinical trials with off-line analysis during maintenance of anaesthesia using the drug propofol. The effects of patient sensitivity and surgical disturbances are also represented in this patient model. Hence, this model can be considered to be a qualitative pharmacologically related model for propofol during the anaesthetic maintenance stage. Furthermore, a closed-loop simulation has been designed to validate the patient model and compare the performance of a self-organizing fuzzy logic controller algorithm against a clinically derived linguistic controller. The successful results obtained provide proof-of-concept and encouragement to perform on-line clinical trials using fuzzy logic-based monitoring and control in operating theatre in the near future. 相似文献
