Varieties of Two-Step Solvable Algebras of Type (1, 1)

The structure of the set of all non-nilpotent subvarieties of the variety of two-step solvable algebras of type (1,1) is studied. An additive basis of a free metabelian (1,1)-algebra is constructed. It is proved that any identity in a non-nilpotent metabelian (1,1)-algebra of degree ≥6 is a consequence of four defining relations.     

Radical cyclization of sugar-derived beta-(alkynyloxy)acrylates: synthesis of novel fused ethers

[formula: see text] Tributyltin radical mediated cyclization of carbohydrate-derived beta-(alkynyloxy)acrylates leading to highly functionalized cis- and trans-fused bicyclic ethers of various ring sizes is described. The efficacy of the radical cyclization is nicely illustrated in the iterative construction of a trans-fused tricyclic tetrahydropyran.     

Adamantylation of nitro-substituted aromatic amines in protic acids

Adamantylation of mono-and dinitro-substituted aromatic amines in sulfuric and phosphoric acids and in a mixture of phosphoric and acetic acids gives mainly the corresponding N-adamantyl derivatives. The results of kinetic measurements showed reversible character of the process.     

Terbium-containing copolymers based on the norbornene functional derivatives. Synthesis, photoluminescent and electroluminescent properties

New carbazole- and terpyridine- containing norbornene derivatives were synthesized and structurally characterized. On the basis of these compounds by the method of metathesis polymerization copolymers were obtained with carbazole and terpyridine fragments in side chains. The synthesized copolymers react with terbium pyrazolonate complex to form the terbium-containing polymeric materials exhibiting the metalcentered photo- and electroluminescence.     

Novel photochromic dithienylperfluorocyclopentenes with rhodanine fragments: synthesis and spectroscopic properties

Novel photochromic dithienylperfluorocyclopentenes with rhodanine fragments 1a-c were obtained and their spectrokinetic characteristics were examined. The open-chain and cyclic forms of these compounds absorb at longer wavelengths compared to known symmetrical dithienylperfluorocyclopentenes. The influence of the substituent nature on the photochromism of these compounds was studied.

Polymeric composite with high thermodynamic properties

The possibility of obtaining a thermostable film composite material based on a mixture of polyvinylidenefluoride and polyamidebenzimidazole with NTsS piezoelectic ceramics as a filler was studied. Its thermal characteristics were determined and compared with those of separate polymers.
