We study arithmetical properties of homotopy groups of thel-adic completion of Quillen'sK-theory space of number field, with a view on the Dwyer-Friedlander comparison map into étaleK-theory. The relation of these groups toK-theory is a complete analogy to the relation of continuous étale cohomology to étale cohomology. We identify the torsion subgroup of the resulting term with the subgroup of divisible elements inK _2n (F). We prove that this term is sent isomorphically into étaleK-theory, giving some further evidence for the Lichtenbaum-Quillen conjectures.     

Sard's theorem for mappings in Hölder and Sobolev spaces

We prove various generalizations of classical Sard's theorem to mappings f:M ^m →N ⁿ between manifolds in Hölder and Sobolev classes. It turns out that if f ∈ C ^k,λ (M ^m ,N ⁿ ), then—for arbitrary k and λ—one can obtain estimates of the Hausdorff measure of the set of critical points in a typical level set f ^?1(y). The classical theorem of Sard holds true for f ∈ C ^k with sufficiently large k, i.e., k>max(m?n,0); our estimates contain Sard's theorem (and improvements due to Dubovitskii and Bates) as special cases. For Sobolev mappings between manifolds, we describe the structure of f ^?1(y).     

Morphisms Between Koszul Complexes II

Let K. denote the graded Koszul complex associated to the regularsequence (x₀, ..., x_n) in the graded polynomial ring A = k[x₀,..., x_n], |x_i| = 1 for all i, over an arbitrary field k. Let denote the Koszul complex associated to another regular sequence of homogeneous elements(p₀, ..., p_n) in A. In [5] we have studied ranks of graded chaincomplex morphisms with the property f₀ = id. Bavrin’s Type Factorization of the Temljakov Operator for Holomorphic Functions in Circular Domains of $$\mathbb {C}^{n}$$

The paper concerns investigations of holomorphic functions of several complex variables with a factorization of their Temljakov transform. Firstly, there were considered some inclusions between the families \(\mathcal {C}_{\mathcal {G}},\mathcal {M}_{\mathcal {G}},\mathcal {N}_{\mathcal {G}},\mathcal {R}_{\mathcal {G}},\mathcal {V}_{\mathcal {G}}\) of such holomorphic functions on complete n-circular domain \(\mathcal {G}\) of \(\mathbb {C}^{n}\) in some papers of Bavrin, Fukui, Higuchi, Michiwaki. A motivation of our investigations is a condensation of the mentioned inclusions by some new families of Bavrin’s type. Hence we consider some families \(\mathcal {K}_{ \mathcal {G}}^{k},k\ge 2,\) of holomorphic functions f :  \(\mathcal {G}\rightarrow \mathbb {C},f(0)=1,\) defined also by a factorization of \( \mathcal {L}f\) onto factors from \(\mathcal {C}_{\mathcal {G}}\) and \(\mathcal {M} _{\mathcal {G}}.\) We present some interesting properties and extremal problems on \(\mathcal {K}_{\mathcal {G}}^{k}\).     

Measures under the flat norm as ordered normed vector space

The space of real Borel measures \(\mathcal {M}(S)\) on a metric space S under the flat norm (dual bounded Lipschitz norm), ordered by the cone \(\mathcal {M}_+(S)\) of nonnegative measures, is considered from an ordered normed vector space perspective in order to apply the well-developed theory of this area. The flat norm is considered in place of the variation norm because subsets of \(\mathcal {M}_+(S)\) are compact and semiflows on \(\mathcal {M}_+(S)\) are continuous under much weaker conditions. In turn, the flat norm offers new challenges because \(\mathcal {M}(S)\) is rarely complete and \(\mathcal {M}_+(S)\) is only complete if S is complete. As illustrations serve the eigenvalue problem for bounded additive and order-preserving homogeneous maps on \(\mathcal {M}_+(S)\) and continuous semiflows. Both topics prepare for a dynamical systems theory on \(\mathcal {M}_+(S)\).     

Fine singularity analysis of solutions to the Laplace equation

We present here a fine singularity analysis of solutions to the Laplace equation in special polygonal domains in the plane. We assume piecewise constant Neumann data on one component of the boundary. Periodic solutions of nonlinear hyperbolic evolution systems

We shall deal with the periodic problem for nonlinear perturbations of abstract hyperbolic evolution equations generating an evolution system of contractions. We prove an averaging principle for the translation operator associated with the nonlinear evolution system, expressed in terms of the topological degree. The abstract results shall be applied to the damped hyperbolic partial differential equation.     

Invariant measures for equicontinuous semigroups of continuous transformations of a compact Hausdorff space

Equicontinuous semigroups of transformations of a compact Hausdorff space and their sets of all invariant (Borel, regular and probabilistic) measures are studied. Conditions equivalent to the existence of at least one invariant measure are given. The (algebraic and topological) structure of the set of invariant measures is researched.     

On the composition factors of indecomposable modules in almost cyclic coherent Auslander-Reiten components

We prove that the indecomposable modules without selfextensions in generalized standard almost cyclic coherent Auslander-Reiten components without external short paths of artin algebra are uniquely determined by their composition factors. Moreover, we prove that there is a common bound on the numbers of indecomposable modules with the same composition factors lying in a generalized standard almost cyclic coherent Auslander-Reiten component without external short paths of artin algebra.
