Lottery and Auction on Quantum Blockchain

This paper proposes a protocol for lottery and a protocol for auction on quantum Blockchain. Our protocol of lottery satisfies randomness, unpredictability, unforgeability, verifiability, decentralization and unconditional security. Our protocol of auction satisfies bid privacy, posterior privacy, bids’ binding, decentralization and unconditional security. Except quantum Blockchain, the main technique involved in both protocols is quantum bit commitment.     

The influence of reverse energy transport on emission anisotropy in two-component viscous solutions

The effect of nonradiative reverse energy transport (NRET) in two donor-acceptor systems was studied experimentally. It was found that the NRET occurring in system I; rhodamine 6G (donor) and rhodamine B (acceptor), considerably lowers the emission anisotropy at medium and high concentrations. These results qualitatively confirm the predictions of the approximate theoretical approach of L. Kulak and C. Bojarski (see the preceding paper). In system II; rhodamine 6G (donor) and Nile Blue (acceptor), for which the NRET process does not occur, a good agreement with no-back-transport theory was obtained.     

The classification of differential structures on quantum 2-spheres

Exterior algebras of differential forms on quantum 2-spheresS _qc ² ,q[–1, 1]/{0},c[0, ] (c=0 forq=±1), are classified. In the definition of exterior algebras we assume the invariance w.r.t. the action of the quantumSU(2) group and dimensionality conditions (which imply that we deal with two-dimensional manifolds). The exterior algebras exist only forc=0 and are unique in that case. The corresponding generalized directional derivatives are provided.     

Non-smoothness of event horizons of Robinson-Trautman black holes

It is shown that generic small data Robinson-Trautman space-times cannot beC ¹²³ extended beyond the r=2m Schwarzschild-like event horizon. This implies that an observer living in such a space-time can determine by local measurements whether or not he has crossed the event-horizon of the black-hole.     

Vortex fluctuations in underdoped Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+delta) crystals

Vortex thermal fluctuations in heavily underdoped Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+delta) (T(c)=69.4 K) are studied using Josephson plasma resonance. From the zero-field data, we obtain the c-axis penetration depth lambda(L,c)(0)=230+/-10 micrometer and the anisotropy ratio gamma(T). The low plasma frequency allows us to study phase correlations over the whole vortex solid state and to extract a wandering length r(w) of vortex pancakes. The temperature dependence of r(w) as well as its increase with dc magnetic field is explained by the renormalization of the vortex line tension by the fluctuations, suggesting that this softening is responsible for the dissociation of the vortices at the first order transition.     

Differential Entropy and Dynamics of Uncertainty

We analyze the functioning of Gibbs-type entropy functionals in the time domain, with emphasis on Shannon and Kullback-Leibler entropies of time-dependent continuous probability distributions. The Shannon entropy validity is extended to probability distributions inferred from L ²(R ⁿ ) quantum wave packets. In contrast to the von Neumann entropy which simply vanishes on pure states, the differential entropy quantifies the degree of probability (de)localization and its time development. The associated dynamics of the Fisher information functional quantifies nontrivial power transfer processes in the mean, both in dissipative and quantum mechanical cases. Experimental study of light diffraction by standing ultrasonic wave with cylindrical symmetry

We report a new acousto-optic arrangement based on ultrasonic wave with cylindrical symmetry. The theory of light interaction with standing cylindrical ultrasonic wave is experimentally verified in the Fraunhofer region. A very good agreement of experimental results with numerical calculations based on the proposed theory is found. The diffraction pattern consists of ring-shaped diffraction orders which posses a fine structure. The time average light intensity of the whole zeroth diffraction order as a function of the Raman-Nath parameter is investigated. The modulation properties of presented system are examined by means of single photon counting technique. Finally, some potentially useful applications in the laser and fibre technology are suggested.
