New [M(R(2)pipdt)(2)](BF(4))(2) salts [R(2)pipdt = N,N'-dialkyl-piperazine-2,3-dithione; M = Pd(II), R = Me and M = Pt(II), R = Me, Et, Pr(i)] bearing redox-active cationic dithiolene complexes have been prepared and characterized. These cations react with the redox-active [M(mnt)(2)](2-) [M = Pd(II), Pt(II); mnt = maleonitrile-2,3-dithiolate] anionic dithiolenes to form salts describable as ion pair charge-transfer complexes. X-ray crystallographic studies have shown that [M(Me(2)pipdt)(2)][M(mnt)(2)] complexes, with M = Pd(II) and Pt(II), are isomorphous. Crystal data of the Pt salt (3a): triclinic, Ponemacr; (No. 2); Z = 1; T = 293(2) K; a = 6.784(7) A, b = 8.460(6) A, c = 13.510(5) A, alpha = 100.63(2) degrees, beta = 104.04(2) degrees, gamma = 96.90(2) degrees; R1 = 0.0691 [wR2 = 0.2187 (all data)]. Structural data show that approximately square-planar [Pt(Me(2)pipdt)(2)] dications and regular square-planar [Pt(mnt)(2)] dianions form an infinite anion-cation one-dimensional stack along axis a with a Pt...Pt a/2 distance of 3.392 A and a Pt...Pt...Pt angle of 180 degrees. Anions and cations arrange themselves face-to-face so as to take on a staggered arrangement. These salts exhibit strong absorptions in the visible-near-infrared region assigned to ion pair charge-transfer transitions. A relation between the optical and thermal electron transfer in the solid state is obtained using a "Marcus-Hush model", and a solid-state electrical conductivity in agreement with expectations is observed. Vibrational spectroscopy is in agreement with the existence of charge-transfer interactions between the cationic and anionic components of the salts.  相似文献

An on-probe pyrolyzer has been constructed and interfaced with desorption electrospray ionization (DESI) mass spectrometry (MS) for the rapid analysis of non-volatile pyrolysis products. The detection and analysis of non-volatile pyrolysis products of peptides, proteins and the synthetic polymer poly(ethylene glycol) were demonstrated with this instrument. The on-probe pyrolyzer can be operated off-line or on-line with the DESI source and was interfaced with a tandem MS (MS/MS) instrument, which allowed for structure characterization of the non-volatile pyrolytic products. Advantages of this system are its simplicity and speed of analysis since the pyrolysis is performed in situ on the DESI source probe and hence, it avoids extraction steps and/or the use of matrices (e.g., as in MALDI–MS analyses).  相似文献

A new side-to-face supramolecular array of chromophores, where a pyridyl-substituted perylene bisimide dye axially binds to two ruthenium porphyrin fragments, has been prepared by self-assembly. The array is formulated as DPyPBI[Ru(TPP)(CO)](2), where DPyPBI = N,N'-di(4-pyridyl)-1,6,7,12-tetra(4-tert-butylphenoxy)perylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboxylic acid bisimide and TPP = 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin. The photophysical behavior of DPyPBI[Ru(TPP)(CO)](2) has been studied by fast (nanoseconds) and ultrafast (femtoseconds) time-resolved techniques. The observed behavior sharply changes with excitation wavelength, depending on whether the DPyPBI or Ru(TPP)(CO) units are excited. After DPyPBI excitation, the strong fluorescence typical of this unit is completely quenched, and time-resolved spectroscopy reveals the occurrence of photoinduced electron transfer from the ruthenium porphyrin to the perylene bisimide dye (tau = 5.6 ps) followed by charge recombination (tau = 270 ps). Upon excitation of the Ru(TPP)(CO) fragments, on the other hand, ultrafast (tau < 1 ps) intersystem crossing is followed by triplet energy transfer from the ruthenium porphyrin to the perylene bisimide dye (tau = 720 ps). The perylene-based triplet state decays to the ground state on a longer time scale (tau = 9.8 micros). The photophysics of this supramolecular array provides remarkable examples of (i) wavelength-dependent behavior (a small change in excitation wavelength causes a sharp switch from electron to energy transfer) and (ii) intramolecular sensitization (the triplet state of the perylene bisimide, inaccessible in the free dye, is efficiently populated in the array).  相似文献

A reinvestigation of the redox behavior of the [Fe(3)(&mgr;(3)-S)(CO)(9)](2)(-) dianion led to the isolation and characterization of the new [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-), as well as the known [Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)](2)(-) dianion. As a corollary, new syntheses of the [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) dianion are also reported. The [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) dianion has been obtained by oxidative condensation of [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) induced by tropylium and Ag(I) salts or SCl(2), or more straightforwardly through the reaction of [Fe(4)(CO)(13)](2)(-) with SCl(2). The [Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)](2)(-) dianion has been isolated as a byproduct of the synthesis of [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) and [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) or by reaction of [Fe(4)(CO)(13)](2)(-) with elemental sulfur. The structures of [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)] and [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)] were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Crystal data: for [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)], monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c (No. 14), a = 24.060(5), b = 14.355(6), c = 23.898(13) ?, beta = 90.42(3) degrees, Z = 4; for [N(PPh(3))(2)](2)[Fe(6)S(6)(CO)(12)], monoclinic, space group C2/c (No. 15), a = 34.424(4), b = 14.081(2), c = 19.674(2) ?, beta = 115.72(1) degrees, Z = 4. The new [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) dianion shows a "bow tie" arrangement of the five metal atoms. The two Fe(3) triangles sharing the central Fe atom are not coplanar and show a dihedral angle of 55.08(3) degrees. Each Fe(3) moiety is capped by a triply bridging sulfide ligand. The 14 carbonyl groups are all terminal; two are bonded to the unique central atom and three to each peripheral iron atom. Protonation of the [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) dianion gives reversibly rise to the corresponding [HFe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](-) monohydride derivative, which shows an (1)H-NMR signal at delta -21.7 ppm. Its further protonation results in decomposition to mixtures of Fe(2)S(2)(CO)(6) and Fe(3)S(2)(CO)(9), rather than formation of the expected H(2)Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14) dihydride. Exhaustive reduction of [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](2)(-) with sodium diphenyl ketyl progressively leads to fragmentation into [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) and [Fe(CO)(4)](2)(-), whereas electrochemical, as well as chemical oxidation with silver or tropylium tetrafluoroborate, in dichloromethane, generates the corresponding [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](-) radical anion which exhibits an ESR signal at g = 2.067 at 200 K. The electrochemical studies also indicated the existence of a subsequent one-electron anodic oxidation which possesses features of chemical reversibility in dichloromethane but not in acetonitrile solution. A reexamination of the electrochemical behavior of the [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](2)(-) dianion coupled with ESR monitoring enabled the spectroscopic characterization of the [Fe(3)S(CO)(9)](-) radical monoanion and demonstrated its direct involvement in the generation of the [Fe(5)S(2)(CO)(14)](n)()(-) (n = 0, 1, 2) system.  相似文献

The negative ion chemical ionization mass spectra, with ammonia and methane as reagent gases, of the (η6-arene)Cr(CO)3 complexes, where the arene is C6H5COCH3, C6H5COC2H5, C6H5COC3H7, C6H5COC(CH3)3, 2-CH3C6H4COC3H7, C6H5COOCH3, C6H5CH3, 1,3,5-(CH3)3C6H3 and C6H5CH2COC2H5, are reported. Similar behaviour is observed with the two reagent gases, but ammonia shows a much higher abundance for the ions produced by reactions of [NH2]? with sample molecules. The compounds containing the C6H5CO group display an abundant [M]? ˙, whereas the other compounds exhibit [M? H]? as base peak, produced by ion/molecule reactions. A comparison of the negative ion chemical ionization mass spectra of the (η6-arene)Cr(CO)3 complexes with those of the corresponding ligands shows the strong electron withdrawing power of the Cr(CO)3 group in the gas phase.  相似文献

The reaction between equimolar amounts of Pt(3)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(3)(H)(CO)(2), Pt(3)()H, and CF(3)SO(3)H under CO atmosphere affords the triangular species [Pt(3)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(3)(CO)(3)]X, [Pt(3)()(CO)(3)()(+)()]X (X = CF(3)SO(3)(-)), characterized by X-ray crystallography, or in an excess of acid, [Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(6)]X(2), [Pt(6)()(2+)()]X(2)(). Structural determination shows the latter to be a rare hexanuclear cluster with a Pt(4) tetrahedral core formed by joining the unbridged sides of two orthogonal Pt(3) triangles. The dication Pt(6)()(2+)() features also extensive redox properties as it undergoes two reversible one-electron reductions to the congeners [Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(6)](+) (Pt(6)()(+)(), E(1/2) = -0.27 V) and Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(6) (Pt(6)(), E(1/2) = -0.54 V) and a further quasi-reversible two-electron reduction to the unstable dianion Pt(6)()(2)()(-)() (E(1/2) = -1.72 V). The stable radical (Pt(6)()(+)()) and diamagnetic (Pt(6)()) species are also formed via chemical methods by using 1 or 2 equiv of Cp(2)Co, respectively; further reduction of Pt(6)()(2+)() causes fast decomposition. The chloride derivatives [Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(5)Cl]X, (Pt(6)()Cl(+)())X, and Pt(6)(mu-PBu(t)()(2))(4)(CO)(4)Cl(2), Pt(6)()Cl(2)(), observed as side-products in some electrochemical experiments, were prepared independently. The reaction leading to Pt(3)()(CO)(3)()(+)() has been analyzed with DFT methods, and identification of key intermediates allows outlining the reaction mechanism. Moreover, calculations for the whole series Pt(6)()(2+)() --> Pt(6)()(2)()(-)()( )()afford the otherwise unknown structures of the reduced derivatives. While the primary geometry is maintained by increasing electron population, the system undergoes progressive and concerted out-of-plane rotation of the four phosphido bridges (from D(2)(d)() to D(2) symmetry). The bonding at the central Pt(4) tetrahedron of the hexanuclear clusters (an example of 4c-2e(-) inorganic tetrahedral aromaticity in Pt(6)()(2+)()) is explained in simple MO terms.  相似文献

A series of new 6-substituted purinyl-5′-nor-1′-homocarbanucleosides based on indanol were synthesized from (±)-cis-3-hydroxymethyl-1-indanol, an appropriately functionalized derivative of which was reacted with 6-chloropurine in the presence of NaH and 18-crown-6 ether to prepare a key intermediate that gave access to the target molecules, purinylcarbanucleosides in which position 6 is occupied by a chloro, hydroxy, methoxy, amino or substituted phenyl group.  相似文献

An EPR investigation of the kinetics of the exit, k -, and entrance, k +, processes in micelles of sodium dodecyl sulfate, hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide and polyoxyethylene(6)decanol of a family of para-substituted benzyl tert -butyl nitroxides and para-substituted benzyl hydroxyalkyl nitroxides is reported. The inclusion of nitroxide probes in the hydrophobic environment of the micelle gives rise to a reduction of the value of both nitrogen and β-proton splittings, with the result that the resonance fields for the MI(2H β ) = ±1lines of the free and included species are significantly different. The rate constants were obtained by analyzing the EPR line shape variations as function of surfactant concentration and temperature. The experimental value of k + obtained from the study of benzyl tert-butyl nitroxide indicates that the association reaction is very close to being controlled by diffusion. The value of the exit rate, k -, instead, depends on the probe hydrocarbon chain length. A comparison of our results with those obtained by luminescence quenching techniques is also reported.  相似文献
