A sequence of attractors, reconstructed from interdrops time series data of a leaky faucet experiment, is analyzed as a function of the mean dripping rate. We established the presence of a saddle point and its manifolds in the attractors and we explained the dynamical changes in the system using the evolution of the manifolds of the saddle point, as suggested by the orbits traced in first return maps. The sequence starts at a fixed point and evolves to an invariant torus of increasing diameter (a Hopf bifurcation) that pushes the unstable manifold towards the stable one. The torus breaks up and the system shows a chaotic attractor bounded by the unstable manifold of the saddle. With the attractor expansion the unstable manifold becomes tangential to the stable one, giving rise to the sudden disappearance of the chaotic attractor, which is an experimental observation of a so called chaotic blue sky catastrophe. 相似文献

The magnetic and electrical properties of Co-implanted
single crystalline TiO2 rutile are presented. For fluences of
the order of 1017 cm-2 and implantation energy of 150
keV the maximum atomic concentration of cobalt is 13 at% at a depth
of 65 nm from the surface. The as implanted single crystals exhibit
superparamagnetic behaviour attributed to the formation of nanosized
cobalt clusters. After annealing at 1073 K an anisotropic
ferromagnetic behaviour emerges with the easy magnetization axis
lying in the (001) plane of rutile. The ferromagnetic behaviour is
associated with oriented cobalt aggregates. Electrical conductivity
of the implanted samples annealed in vacuum also exhibits
anisotropic behaviour at low temperatures, but no magnetoresistive

This article reports the successful synthesis and characterization of two types of completely biobased polymers prepared by the polycondensation or polytransesterification of suberin fragments, isolated by different procedures and from two different vegetable sources. These polymerizations were conducted with different experimental conditions in terms of the type of catalyst, the reaction medium and temperature, as well as the molar ratio between the reactive moieties. The ensuing linear or partly crosslinked polyesters were characterized by conventional spectroscopic techniques, SEC, DSC, XRD, DMA, and TGA. In the aluminum industries, there are several steps involved in processing since the extraction of bauxite to obtain the final product (Al). During the development of these, various steps generated wastes. One of them, from the electrostatic filter of the calcination step of the Bayer process is a very fine black powder, rich in alumina (Al2O3) that does not meet industry specifications, and it is discarded in the industry yard. Alumina is a noble material and has high commercial value. This black powder has great prospects for recovery, recycling, and future applications. Therefore, it is important to perform characterization of tailings and to do that we have used XRD, SEM, EDS, FTIR, Raman, and thermal analysis. 相似文献

This report describes an efficient synthesis of the natural isomer of acivicin, which is the only one provided with a noteworthy biological activity. The present procedure allowed the synthesis of (+)-1 in just five steps with a 34% overall yield. Thioxanthones are bioisosteres of the naturally occurring xanthones. They have been described for multiple activities, including antitumor. As such, the synthesis of a library of thioxanthones was pursued, but unexpectedly, four tetracyclic thioxanthenes with a quinazoline–chromene scaffold were obtained. These compounds were studied for their human tumor cell growth inhibition activity, in the cell lines A375-C5, MCF-7 and NCI-H460. Photophysical studies were also performed. Two of the compounds displayed GI50 values below 10 µM for the three tested cell lines, and structure–activity relationship studies were established. Three compounds presented similar wavelengths of absorption and emission, characteristic of dyes with a push-pull character. The structures of two compounds were elucidated by X-ray crystallography. Two tetracyclic thioxanthenes emerged as hit compounds. One of the two compounds accumulated intracellularly as a bright fluorescent dye in the green channel, as analyzed by both fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry, making it a promising theranostic cancer drug candidate. 相似文献

An efficient method was developed for the preparation of isatin-3-oxime derivatives with Bronsted and/or Lewis acids in imidazolium-based ionic liquids. Isatin-3-oxime bearing the electron donating methoxy group was equally obtained in good yields.
