Two series of new dimesogenic liquid crystalline compounds were synthesized and their LC and other thermal properties were characterized. These compounds consist of two mesogenic units connected through polymethylene spacer of varying length in the shape of the letter ‘T’. The difference between the two series is in the structure of tail groups attached on the pendant azobenzene mesogens; one of which is n-butyl and the other is phenyl. The compounds were characterized for their liquid crystallinity by the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffractometry and visual observation of the melts on a hot-stage attached to a polarizing microscope. All these compounds were found to form only the nematic phase enantiotropically. 相似文献

针对水下低频声源的方位估计问题,基于基元紧密排列的二维矢量阵,建立了一种超指向性波束形成方法.根据矢量基元差分运算构建各阶多极子模型,获得了几乎与频率无关的模态函数,并经加权计算可在低频条件下实现超指向性波束,以解决阵列孔径对波束性能的限制.同时,结合输出信噪比最大准则所得波束,分析了超指向性波束形成算法的稳定性与波导的影响程度,探索模态阶数与阵列参数的选取原则.通过阵列性能的仿真计算与实际阵列的测量数据表明,该算法可在小尺寸阵列孔径下获得良好的阵列波束,兼具了水下线型超指向性阵和环形超指向性阵的优点,可有效实现水下低频声源的水平方位估计;且波束性能可通过调节模态阶数与基元间距以达到最佳,并受水下声波导多途与频散效应影响有限. 相似文献

We investigate the electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of polycrystalline gold nanofilms,with thicknesses ranging from 40.5nm to 115.8 nm,and identify a thickness-dependent electrical conductivity,which can be explained via the Mayadas and Shatzkes(MS)theory.At the same time,a suppressed thermal conductivity is observed,as compared to that found in the bulk material,together with a weak thickness effect.We compare the thermal conductivity of suspended and supported gold films,finding that the supporting substrate can effectively suppress the in-plane thermal conductivity of the polycrystalline gold nanofilms.Our results indicate that grain boundary scattering and substrate scattering can affect electron and phonon transport in polycrystalline metallic systems. 相似文献

Accurate estimation of flow velocity requires measurement of Doppler angle, which is not available in general clinical applications. We describe a novel method of direct Doppler angle and flow velocity mapping that uses a conventional single-beam optical Doppler tomography system. The Doppler angle is estimated by combination of Doppler shift and Doppler bandwidth measurements, and flow velocity is calculated from the Doppler shift and the estimated Doppler angle. In vivo study of lip microvascularization demonstrates that this method is capable of providing both flow speed and flow direction information. 相似文献

A new and general method has been developed for preparation of coumarins and quinolinones by intramolecular hydroarylation of alkynes. Various aryl alkynoates and alkynanilides undergo fast intramolecular reaction at room temperature in the presence of a catalytic amount of Pd(OAc)(2) in a mixed solvent containing trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), affording coumarins and quinolinones in moderate to excellent yields with more than 1000 turnover numbers (TON) to Pd. The methodology proved to tolerate a number of functional groups such as Br and CHO. On the basis of isotope experiments, a possible mechanism involving ethynyl chelation-assisted electrophilic metalation of aromatic C-H bonds by in-situ generated cationic Pd(II) species has been discussed.
