Direct conversion of cellulose into 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF) was performed by using single or combined metal chloride catalysts in 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride(Cl) ionic liquid.Our study demonstrated formation of 2-furyl hydroxymethyl ketone(FHMK),and furfural(FF) simultaneously with the formation of HMF.Various reaction parameters were addressed to optimize yields of furan derivatives produced from cellulose by varying reaction temperature,time,and the type of metal chloride catalyst.Catalytic reaction by using FeCl3 resulted in 59.9% total yield of furan derivatives(HMF,FHMK,and FF) from cellulose.CrCl3 was the most effective catalyst for selective conversion of cellulose into HMF(35.6%) with less concentrations of FHMK,and FF.Improving the yields of furans produced from cellulose could be achieved via reactions catalyzed by different combinations of two metal chlorides.Further optimization was carried out to produce total furans yield 75.9% by using FeCl3/CuCl2 combination.CrCl3/CuCl2 was the most selective combination to convert cellulose into HMF(39.9%) with total yield(63.8%) of furans produced from the reaction.The temperature and time of the catalytic reaction played an important role in cellulose conversion,and the yields of products.Increasing the reaction temperature could enhance the cellulose conversion and HMF yield for short reaction time intervals(5~20 min).  相似文献

A series of novel symmetrical and unsymmetrical triphenylene‐based discotic liquid crystalline materials with one or six branched peripheral alkoxy chains have been prepared. These materials have been compared with analogous known symmetrical and unsymmetrical compounds to reveal a balance between steric and space‐filling effects of the peripheral branched chains, which significantly affects intermolecular forces of attraction and packing, and hence affects melting and isotropisation temperatures of the liquid crystalline materials. The desired result of reduction of melting points and enhancement of isotropisation temperatures has been accomplished by use of branched alkoxy chains in both symmetrical and unsymmetrical materials.  相似文献

Increased resistance of Plasmodium falciparum to most available drugs challenges the control of malaria. Studies with protease inhibitors have suggested important roles for the falcipain family of cysteine proteases. These enzymes act in concert with other proteases to hydrolyze host erythrocyte hemoglobin in the parasite food vacuole. In order to find potential new antimalarial drugs, we screened in silico the ZINC database using two different protocols involving structure- and ligand-based methodologies. Our search identified 19 novel low micromolar inhibitors of cultured chloroquine resistant P. falciparum. The most active compound presented an IC50 value of 0.5 μM against cultured parasites and it also inhibited the cysteine protease falcipain-2 (IC50 = 25.5 μM). These results identify novel classes of antimalarials that are structurally different from those currently in use and which can be further derivatized to deliver leads suitable for optimisation.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The use of a phase transfer catalyst, benzyltriethylammonium chloride (BTEAC), is described in conjunction with the ruthenium dioxide/periodate : water/chloroform system for the oxidation of carbohydrate alcohols to the corresponding ketone, aldehyde, or carboxylic acid. The method was found to be applicable to carbohydrates appropriately protected as acetals, ethers, or containing a benzoyloxy group not positioned to readily undergo β-elimination. While the method was very suitable for the oxidation of carbohydrate secondary alcohols to ketones, it was found to be less suitable for the oxidation of a carbohydrate primary alcohol to the corresponding aldehyde or carboxylic acid. Evidence presented suggests that under the mildly basic conditions of the reaction, ruthenium tetraoxide is converted to ruthenate and perruthenate ions in the aqueous solution and then the perruthenate ion is carried by the phase transfer catalyst into the organic layer where oxidation of the substrate occurs. A number of examples illustrating the scope of the method are presented.  相似文献

The structures of three newly synthesized phosphonate‐substituted polyoxotitanates are reported. The Ti/O core of [Ti4O(OEt)12(PhenylPO3)] ( 1 ) is the building block for two larger phosphonate‐substituted nanoclusters, [Ti25O26(OEt)36(PhenylPO3)6] ( 2 ) and [Ti26O26(OEt)39(PhenylPO3)6]Br ( 3 ). All compounds exhibit a not previously recognized triply bridging binding mode of the phosphonate anchor with short connecting Ti? O bonds, the average of which is 2.010(7) Å. Comparison with previously reported work suggests that the binding mode of the phosphonate anchor is strongly dependent on the structure of the underlying substrate.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterisation of nine new tris‐substituted bismuth(III) aminoarenesulfonates of the general formula [Bi(O3S‐RN)3] (RN=o‐aminophenyl 1 , m‐aminophenyl 2 , 6‐amino‐3‐methoxyphenyl 3 , p‐aminophenyl 4 , 2‐pyridyl 5 , o‐aminonaphthyl 6 , 5‐aminonaphthyl 7 , 4‐amino‐3‐hydroxynaphthyl 8 and 5‐isoquinolinyl 9 ) is described. Two synthetic strategies, using Ag2O and [Bi(OtBu)3], were explored and compared. The possibility to access heteroleptic bismuth(III) complexes with the new silver(I) metathesis reaction is demonstrated with the synthesis of the heteroleptic bismuth(III) aminoarenesulfonate complexes [PhBi(O3S‐P2)2(dmso)] 10 , [Ph2Bi(O3S‐P2)] 11 and [PhBi(O3S‐P2)2] 12 , of which the solid state structures 10 and 12 are presented (2P‐SO3?=2‐pyridinesulfonate). These complexes offer remarkable in‐vitro activity against three standard laboratory strains of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) as demonstrated by their exceptionally low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of 0.049 μg mL?1 for the strains 251 and B128, which places most MIC values in the nano‐molar region. These results demonstrate the importance of the amino functionality in addition to the sulfonate group on the bactericidal properties against H. pylori.  相似文献

A new method for measuring perfluoroalkyl contaminants (PFCs) in biological matrices has been developed. An ultra-high pressure liquid chromatograph equipped with a quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer (UPLC-QToF) was optimized using a continuous precursor/product ion monitoring mode. Unlike traditional targeted studies that isolate precursor/product ion pairs, the current method alternates between two ionization energy channels to continuously capture standard electrospray ionization (low energy) and collision induced dissociation (high energy) spectra. The result is the indiscriminant acquisition of paired low and high energy spectra for all constituents eluting from the chromatographic system. This technique was evaluated for the routine analysis of perfluoroalkyl species. Using this technique, linear perfluoroalkyl carboxylic acids (C4 to C14) and perfluoroalkyl sulfonates (C4, C6, C8 and C10) exhibited a linear range spanning over three orders of magnitude and were detectable at levels less than 1 pg on column with a root mean squared signal to noise ratio of 5 to 20. Lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) and National Institutes of Standards and Technology Standard Reference Material 1946 were used to evaluate matrix effects and the accuracy of this method when applied to a whole fish extract. The current method was also evaluated as a diagnostic tool to identify unknown PFCs using experimental fragmentation patterns, mass defect filtering and Kendrick plots.
