The Raman spectrum of NH4Cl has been studied as a function of temperature and pressure close to the multicritical point at which the λ-transition changes from first to second order. Variations in the intensities of appropriate bands have been used to calculate the critical exponents for the order parameter. By varying the temperature at fixed pressures of zero, 3.0 k bar and 1.5 k bar, exponent values of β = 0.154 ± 0.012, β = 0.33 ± 0.06 and β = 0.26 ± 0.06 have been obtained for the first-order, second-order and multicritical regions respectively.Our first-order exponent value is close to that observed by previous workers, our second-order value is close to that predicted by the three dimensional Ising model, and our multicritical value is close to that predicted by mean field theory.  相似文献

The long standing problem of solvent dependent absorption spectra of certain bile pigments such as bilirubindimethylester has been solved by measurement of molecular masses by means of vapour pressure osmometry. Using this method and the investigation of the concentration and temperature dependence of the absorption spectra on several model compounds an association equilibrium for pigments of the rubinoid structural type could be confirmed. Moreover the optical properties of the coexisting species and the corresponding equilibrium constants could be deduced by spectroscopic techniques. Verdinoid pigments lacking free carboxylic functions on the other hand tend to be monomeric in solution. A heteroassociated species involving equimolar amounts of a verdinoid and a rubinoid pigment could be verified existing on adsorbents like silicagel.

The structure and stereochemistry of the cyclopentenolones obtained by condensation of dialkyl ketones with benzil have been studied by NMR spectroscopy. These enolones were converted into cyclopentenones and cyclopentadienes. Alkyl-substituted cyclopentadienes required phenyllithium to effect their conversion by toluenesulphonyl azide into diazo-cyclopentadienes; otherwise piperidine sufficed as base catalyst.2,3,4-Triphenyldiazocyclopentadiene was simply procured by reaction of the condensation product of benzil and phenylacetone with toluenesulphonylhydrazone followed by alkali. Cyclohexyl- and methoxy-triphenylcyclopentadienes were prepared by photolytic decomposition of diazotriphenylcyclopentadiene in cyclohexane or methanol respectively.  相似文献

In order to study the interrelationship between the structure, reactivity, and spectroscopic characteristics of the stereoisomeric piperidines, starting from 1-tert-butyl-3-methylpiperidin-4-one the synthesis has been performed of the geometric isomers of some 4-substituted 1-tert-butyl-3-methylpiperidin-4-ols and 4-acyloxy-1-tert-butyl-3-methylpiperidines. Fluoride, down to 2 ppM, has been determined by automated direct potentiometry using a fluoride ion-selective electrode. The method reduces the dilution and contamination effects of TISAB and takes the electrode response-time into consideration. The relative standard deviation for water samples is 1.5-1.8% and the recovery varies from 96 to 107%.  相似文献

Two points involving molecular structure have been investigated using mass spectrometry. First, mass spectra have been obtained that indicate a rapid means for differentiating bimolecular compounds from other structural isomers. Second, the mass spectrometric method has been used to evaluate bonding within bimolecular compounds. Quinone compounds have been reacted with dhydroxybenzene compounds to produce quinhydrone products, and upon mass spectrometric analysis, the quinhydrones decompose to regenerate derivatives of the starting materials. Evaluation of the decomposition products suggests that the hydroxyl hydrogens are involved in a resonance structure, and while in symmetrical quinhydrones, the hydroxyl hydrogens are probably associated equally with each reactant, unsymmetrical quinhydrones generate an unbalanced electronic distribution that eliminates the complete equivalency of the hydrogens.  相似文献

An effective dipole potential is used to calculate the elastic and piezoelectric coefficients for a static-lattice model of tetragonal HCN, using the generalized thermodynamic theory of internal strain. The model is unstable with respect to molecular rotation away from the tetragonal axis, owing to the use of a point effective dipole. An improved potential would represent the molecule as a set of polarizable point dipoles. Isotropic pressures makes HCN expand along the tetragonal axis as it contracts perpendicular to the axis, because of strong elastic cross-linking. The piezoelectric stress coefficient for shear strain is dominated by the contribution from molecular rotation. Both physical and thermodynamic coefficients are calculated; the differences between the coefficients, which arise from the permanent polarization in HCN, are especially marked in the strain coefficient.  相似文献
