Saponins from Quillaja saponaria have been commonly used as immunomodulatory adjuvants in foot-and-mouth disease vaccines (FMDVs). However, due to the lack of consensus over the possible exacerbation of local inflammatory responses in cattle and its economic impacts, their use has been discouraged by Brazilian authorities. A qualitative method intended to determine the presence of saponins from Q. saponaria bark extracts in FMDVs was developed and validated. Instrumental analysis was performed using an liquid chromatography (LC) coupled to a quadrupole–time-of-flight–mass spectrometry (TOF-MS) system. The method was validated according to the International Conference on Harmonization Harmonized Tripartite Guideline Q2 (R1) and Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply Analytical Quality Assurance Guidelines. Validation parameters were determined and considered suitable to the established criteria. The validated method has been applied in routine analysis in the National Agricultural Laboratory at Rio Grande do Sul (LANAGRO-RS). All results obtained were in agreement with the vaccine's composition described by the manufacturer. The method is easy and adequate for analysis in routine laboratories. To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of a method which intends to investigate the presence of saponins from Q. saponaria bark extracts in veterinary vaccines.  相似文献

We present a generative swarm art project that creates 3D animations by running a Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm over synthetic landscapes produced by an objective function. Different kinds of functions are explored, including mathematical expressions, Perlin noise-based terrain, and several image-based procedures. A method for displaying the particle swarm exploring the search space in aesthetically pleasing ways is described. Several experiments are detailed and analyzed and a number of interesting visual artifacts are highlighted.  相似文献

In a key predistribution scheme, some secret information is distributed among a set of users. For a given family of privileged groups, this secret information must enable every user in a privileged group to compute a common key associated with that group. Besides, this common key must remain unknown to some specified coalitions of users outside the privileged group. We present in this paper a new model, based on linear algebraic techniques, for the design of key predistribution schemes that unifies all previous proposals. This new model provides a common mathematical formulation and a better understanding of key predistribution schemes. Two new families of key predistribution schemes that are obtained by using this model are presented. Those families provide, for some specification structures, schemes that have better information rates than the ones given in previous proposals or fit in situations that have not been considered before.  相似文献

Abstract

The present article gives an overview of recent publications and modern techniques of sample preparation for food analysis employing atomic and inorganic mass spectrometric techniques, such as flame atomic absorption spectrometry, chemical vapor generation atomic absorption and atomic fluorescence spectrometry, graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry, and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Among the most frequently applied sample preparation techniques for food analysis are dry ashing, usually with the addition of an ashing aid, and acid digestion, preferably with the assistance of microwave energy. Slurry preparation, particularly with the assistance of ultrasound, is increasingly used to reduce acid consumption and sample preparation time. Direct analysis of solid samples is gaining importance in the field of food analysis as it offers the highest sensitivity, avoids the use of acids and other aggressive reagents, makes possible the analysis of micro‐samples, and can be applied for fast screening analysis, e.g., of fresh meat.  相似文献

Let Id,n?k[x0,?,xn] be a minimal monomial Togliatti system of forms of degree d. In [4], Mezzetti and Miró-Roig proved that the minimal number of generators μ(Id,n) of Id,n lies in the interval [2n+1,(n+d?1n?1)]. In this paper, we prove that for n4 and d3, the integer values in [2n+3,3n?1] cannot be realized as the number of minimal generators of a minimal monomial Togliatti system. We classify minimal monomial Togliatti systems Id,n?k[x0,?,xn] of forms of degree d with μ(Id,n)=2n+2 or 3n (i.e. with the minimal number of generators reaching the border of the non-existence interval). Finally, we prove that for n=4, d3 and μ[9,(d+33)]?{11} there exists a minimal monomial Togliatti system Id,n?k[x0,?,xn] of forms of degree d with μ(In,d)=μ.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of different light-curing units on the bond strength (push-out) of glass fiber posts in the different thirds of the root (cervical, middle and apical) with different adhesive luting resin systems (dual-cure total-etch; dual-cured and self-etch bonding system; and dual-cure self-adhesive cements), Disks of the samples (n = 144) were used, with approximately 1 mm of thickness of 48 bovine roots restored with glass fiber posts, that were luted with resin cements photo-activated by halogen LCU (QTH, Optilux 501) and blue LED (Ultraled), with power densities of 600 and 550 mW/cm2, respectively. A universal testing machine (MTS 810 Material Test System) was used with a 1 mm diameter steel rod at cross-head speed of 0.5 mm/min until post extrusion, with load cell of 50 kg, for evaluation of the push-out strength in the different thirds of each sample. The push-out strength values in kgf were converted to MPa and analyzed through Analysis of Variance and Tukey’s test, at significance level of 5%. The results showed that there were no statistical differences between the QTH and LED LCUs. The self-adhesive resin cement had lower values of retention. The total-etch and self-adhesive system resin cements seem to be a possible alternative for glass fiber posts cementation into the radicular canal and the LED LCU can be applied as an alternative to halogen light on photo-activation of dual-cured resin cements.  相似文献

The Perlin effect and its analog for fluorinated compounds (the fluorine Perlin-like effect) manifest on one-bond C─H (C─F for the fluorine Perlin-like effect) spin–spin coupling constants (SSCCs) in six-membered rings. These effects can be useful to probe the stereochemistry (axial or equatorial) of the C─H and C─F bonds, respectively. The origin of these effects has been debatable in the literature as being due to hyperconjugative interactions, dipolar effects, and induced current density. Accordingly, a variety of model compounds has been used to probe such effects since the cyclohexanone carbonyl group and the endocyclic heteroatom lone pairs play different roles on the above-mentioned effects. Thus, the 1JC─F SSCC in fluorinated lactams and lactones were theoretically studied to gain further insight on the nature of the fluorine Perlin-like effect. In addition, because the intramolecular α-effect has recently gained attention for its importance in the reactivity and stereoelectronic interactions in peroxide compounds, some fluorinated 1,2-dioxanes and 1,2-dithianes were studied to evaluate the role of the α-effect on the behavior of 1JC─F SSCCs. Differently from fluorinated ketones and ethers, the fluorine Perlin-like effect in the amides and esters cannot be explained by hyperconjugative or dipolar interactions alone, because the resonance in these groups affect the 1JC─F values. The O─O and S─S-containing systems exhibit a strong fluorine Perlin-like effect, but unlike the α-effect, this behavior cannot be explained neither by hyperconjugation nor by dipolar interactions alone; the spatial proximity of the C─F and O─O/S─S bonds is proposed to affect the magnitude of the 1JC─F SSCC.  相似文献

The photophysical properties of Piroxicam , a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), were investigated at different pHext values in reversed micelles of Aerosol-OT (AOT) in iso -octane, using both steady-state and picosecond time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. In contrast with the very complex data obtained in aqueous media, where several prototropic species are in equilibrium, the reversed micellar system essentially favors two species. The absorption spectra shows only one isosbestic point at λ= 348 nm. Excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), also detected in water, is promoted at low water pool contents measured by ω0= [H2O]/[AOT]. A strongly shifted (λem= 470 nm) tautomeric emission is found. Upon the gradual increase of ω0, striking differences with pHext are found. At pHext= 4, the drug preferentially locates itself in the interfacial region partitioning between a hydrophobic and a hydrophilic domain. Global analysis was applied to the decay data and the results were interpreted by the "two-state excited-state" formalism. At pHext= 7, the anionic species is prevalent and the probe locates itself deeper inside the water core of the reversed micelles. Thus, a strong dependence on water content is detected, approaching a behavior similar to that observed in free aqueous solutions.  相似文献
