Recently, a new carrier‐induced defect has been reported in multi‐crystalline silicon (mc‐Si), and has been shown to be particularly detrimental to the performance of passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) cells. Under normal conditions, this defect can take years to fully form. This Letter reports on the accelerated formation and subsequent passivation of this carrier‐induced defect through the use of high illumination intensity and elevated temperatures resulting in passivation within minutes. The process was tested on industrial mc‐Si PERC solar cells, where degradation after a 100 hour stability test was suppressed to only 0.1% absolute compared to 2.1% for non‐treated cells. Three nucleon ground state wave functions are displayed graphically in configuration space. Both the Schrödinger functions and the Faddeev amplitudes from which they are constructed are plotted. It is demonstrated that for the case where the two-nucleon interaction contains strong repulsion at short distances, the Faddeev amplitude bears no resemblance to the Schrödinger function, and is not even positive definite. Furthermore, the Faddeev amplitude is a much smoother function of the three independent coordinate variables, and is therefore much easier to calculate. Certain intuitive features of the Schrödinger wave function are seen to be present. 相似文献

We present a single-frequency, single-mode, plane-polarized ytterbium-doped all-fiber master oscillator power amplifier source at 1060 nm generating 264 W of continuous-wave output power. The final-stage amplifier operated with a high gain of 19 dB and a high conversion efficiency of 68%. There was no evidence of rollover from stimulated Brillouin scattering even at the highest output power, and the maximum output was limited only by the available pump power. 相似文献

We investigate a life time broadened and coherently prepared five-state system for multi-wave mixing processes. We show that very efficient wave mixing occurs, producing an unconventional mixing wave that has the characteristics of both conventional four-wave mixing (FWM) and stimulated hyper-Raman (SHR) emission. In addition, we show interesting multiple simultaneous multi-photon interference effects at large propagation distances and demonstrate more than 10 orders of magnitude suppression of populations of the probe wave terminal state and the near three-photon resonance mixing wave generating state. These new type of multi-photon interference based induced transparency effects, which are critically dependent on two distinctive relaxation processes involving both an external supplied and an internally generated fields, are fundamentally different from the conventional three-state electromagnetically induced transparency effect which does not depend on propagation. As a consequence, both the probe and the wave-mixing field to propagate nearly free of absorption and distortions in a highly dispersive medium. 相似文献

When a plane elastic wave is scattered by a rigid body the surface integral of the traction, projected along the direction of polarization of the incident wave, provides the leading low-frequency approximation for the scattering amplitudes. Two kinds of lower and upper bounds for the surface traction integral are given. One is based on the geometrical characteristics of the scatterer and is expressed in terms of corresponding values of the best fitting interior and exterior confocal triaxial ellipsoids. The case of best fitting interior and exterior spheres is examined as a special case. These bounds are sharp in the sense that they both become equalities when the scatterer degenerates to an ellipsoid. The other kind of lower and upper bounds involve the capacity of the scatterer. All estimates were obtained by using the generalized Dirichlet and Thomson Principles of Potential Theory in Elastostatics. Furthermore, all constants appearing in the bounds are given in terms of the ratio of the phase velocities for the transverse and the longitudinal wave. An upper bound for scattering by a cube at normal incidence is also included.This work was done while both authors were visiting the Department of Mathematics of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
