A novel hydrazone, formed by the condensation of the hydrochloride salt of hydralazine with 3‐chlorobenzaldehyde, and its Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes have been synthesized. Their structures have been elucidated on the basis of elemental analyses, conductance measurements, magnetic moments, and spectral (infrared, 1H NMR, UV–visible, electrospray ionization (ESI) mass) and thermal studies. The bidentate behaviour of the ligand is proposed on the basis of spectral studies. Interestingly, all four complexes exhibit different geometry around the metal centre. The conductance data of the complexes suggest them to be non‐electrolytes. The ESI mass spectra of the complexes support their monomeric nature. The compounds were tested against two Gram‐positive and three Gram‐negative bacterial strains and three fungal strains. Excellent inhibitory activity is observed against the Gram‐positive bacteria Streptococcus mutans and Enterococcus faecalis which play major roles in tooth decay. Nanocrystalline TiO2 thin films composed of densely packed grains were deposited onto indium-doped tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrates at room temperature using a chemical bath deposition technique. A layer-by-layer (LbL) process was utilized to obtain a 1.418-microm-thick TiO2/ZnO structure. The TiO2 surface was super-hydrophilic, but its hydrophilicity decreased considerably after ZnO deposition. Other TiO2/ZnO films were studied to assess their suitability as photoelectrodes in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized polynomials associated with the modified Milne-Thomson’s polynomials \({\Phi_{n}^{(\alpha)}(x,\nu)}\) of degree n and order α introduced by Dere and Simsek. The concepts of Euler numbers E n , Euler polynomials E n (x), generalized Euler numbers E n (a, b), generalized Euler polynomials E n (x; a, b, c) of Luo et al., Hermite–Bernoulli polynomials \({{_HE}_n(x,y)}\) of Dattoli et al. and \({{_HE}_n^{(\alpha)} (x,y)}\) of Pathan are generalized to the one \({ {_HE}_n^{(\alpha)}(x,y,a,b,c)}\) which is called the generalized polynomials depending on three positive real parameters. Numerous properties of these polynomials and some relationships between E n , E n (x), E n (a, b), E n (x; a, b, c) and \({{}_HE_n^{(\alpha)}(x,y;a,b,c)}\) are established. Some implicit summation formulae and general symmetry identities are derived using different analytical means and applying generating functions.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of aspirin at a graphene modified glassy carbon electrode has been investigated using cyclic and differential pulse voltammetric techniques. The dependence of the current on pH, concentration and scan rate was investigated to optimize the experimental conditions for determination of aspirin. A plausible oxidation mechanism was proposed. Under the optimum conditions, the oxidation peak current was linearly proportional to the concentration of aspirin in the range from 1.00×10?6 to 2.00×10?4 M with a detection limit of 20.2 nM. The proposed method was successfully applied to aspirin determination in pharmaceutical and real samples.  相似文献

This study presents an efficient synthesis of 3-[6-(substituted-phenyl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4] thiadiazol-3-yl]-1H-indazole via dehydrative condensation with cyclization of 4-amino-5-(1H-indazol-3-yl)-4H-[1,2,4]triazole-3-thiol and fluorinated or nonfluorinated carboxylic acids in presence of phosphorous oxychloride. The multistep reaction pathway proceeds through different compounds. Present synthesis has the advantages of easily accessible starting materials, convenient synthesis, simple reaction condition, wider substrate scope, and higher yield (75% to 90% isolated).  相似文献

Plant tissues must be dehydrated for observation in most electron microscopes. Although a number of sample processing techniques have been developed for preserving plant tissues in their original form and structure, none of them are guaranteed artefact-free. The current paper reviews common scanning electron microscopy techniques and the sample preparation methods employed for visualisation of leaves under specific types of electron microscopes. Common artefacts introduced by specific techniques on different leaf types are discussed. Comparative examples are depicted from our lab using similar techniques; the pros and cons for specific techniques are discussed. New promising techniques and microscopes, which can alleviate some of the problems encountered in conventional methods of leaf sample processing and visualisation, are also discussed. It is concluded that the choice of technique for a specific leaf sample is dictated by the surface features that need to be preserved (such as trichomes, epidermal cells or wax microstructure), the resolution to be achieved, availability of the appropriate processing equipment and the technical capabilities of the available electron microscope.  相似文献

Bi-linear systems of the formAV+WA=G are obtained by approximating Poisson-type equations using higher-order finite difference formulae whereV,W andG are known matrices. Solution of the bi-linear system requiresO(n 3) operations for ann×n mesh. However, due to the increased accuracy obtained when using a high-order discretization formula,n can be made much smaller than in the conventional methods and indicates that faster Poisson-solvers which are numerically stable can be obtained by considering the bilinear system rather than the composite matrix form.  相似文献
