Key words The rheological properties of rat arteries were studied in vitro. Using intact arterial segments undergoing large deformations in longitudinal and circumferential direction, both the stress-strain relationship and the corresponding histological changes with deformation are presented. Recent studies have demonstrated the biological importance of the interaction of nitric oxide with proteins such as cytochrome-c or hemoglobin. In particular, the possibility that the nitrosonium cation, NO(+), could reversibly bind to sulfide atom type was proposed. At pH values of biological relevance, nitrosation was proposed to occur through the action of NO(+) carriers such as nitrosothiols or nitrosamines. In this context, the gas phase chemistry of protonated nitrosothiols is studied in the present work by a combination of mass spectrometry and computational methods.  相似文献

Dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) was synthesized in high purity and yield in four steps starting from dihydroxyacetone dimer (DHA) (47% overall yield). DHA was converted into 2,2-dimethoxypropane-1,3-diol, which was desymmetrized by acetylation with lipase AK. The alcohol function was phosphorylated to give dibenzyl phosphate ester 4. From 4, two routes were investigated for large-scale synthesis of DHAP. First, acetate hydrolysis was performed prior to hydrogenolysis of the phosphate protective groups. The acetal hydrolysis was finally catalyzed by the phosphate group itself. Second, acetate and acetal hydrolysis were performed in one single step after hydrogenolysis.  相似文献

A simple and convenient method for the chemoselective reduction of nitriles into aldehydes using a 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane (TMDS)/triisopropoxyvanadium(V) oxide reducing system is described. Aromatic as well as aliphatic nitriles are reduced into the corresponding aldehydes in moderate to good yields.  相似文献

We report a study on different ionization states and conformations of the bimolecular (Gly)2 system by means of quantum mechanical calculations. Optimized geometries for energy minima of the glycine dimer, as well as relative energies and free energies were computed as a function of the medium: gas phase, nonpolar polarizable solvent, and aqueous solution. The polarizable continuum model was employed to account for solvation effects. Energy calculations were done using the MP2/aug‐cc‐pVTZ and B3LYP/6‐311+G(2df,2p) methods on B3LYP/6‐31+G(d,p) optimized structures (some single‐point energy calculations were also done using the B3PW91 and PBE1KCIS methods). Ionized forms of the glycine dimer (either zwitterion–zwitterion or neutral–zwitterion) are predicted to exist in all media, in contrast to amino acid monomers. In aqueous solution, dimerization is an exergonic process (?4 kcal mol?1). Thus, according to our results, zwitterion–zwitterion Gly dimers might be abundant in supersaturated glycine aqueous solutions, a fact that has been connected with the structure of α‐glycine crystals but that remains controversial in the literature. Another noticeable result is that zwitterion–zwitterion interactions are substantially underestimated when computed using methods based on density functional theory. For comparison, some calculations for the dimer of the simplest chiral amino acid alanine were done as well and differences to the glycine dimer are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract  

Two ternary complexes of manganese(II) indole-2-carboxylate (2-IC) or isoquinolinecarboxylate (IQC) with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) in methanol or in dimethylacetamide (DMA) were synthesized and studied by X-ray diffraction and IR spectra. [Mn(C9H6NO2)2(C12H8N2)2]·CH4O (1) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P-1 with cell parameters of a = 10.548(2) ?, b = 14.168(3) ?, c = 14.580(3) ?, α = 62.35(2)°, β = 69.16(2)°, γ = 78.61(2)°, V = 1802.4(6) ?3 and Z = 2; [Mn(C10H6NO2)2(C12H8N2)].C4H9NO (2) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/a with cell parameters of a = 15.304(5) ?, b = 12.871(5) ?, c = 17.421(5) ?, β = 114.39(1), V = 3125(2) ?3 and Z = 4. In 1, Mn is six-coordinate by two bidentate phen ligands and two 2-IC ligands and exhibits a very distorted octahedral geometry. This complex is solvated by methanol involved in hydrogen bonding. In 2, Mn atom is surrounded by one bidentate phen ligand and two bidentate IQC ligands. The complex exhibits a distorted octahedral geometry around the MnII atom. The crystal structure is completed by a disordered DMA solvate molecule. The IR spectra of both compounds are slightly different in the range 4000–2400 cm−1 which may be attributed to hydrogen bond lack in 2.  相似文献

Negative electrorheological responses induced by micro-particle electrorotation in two-dimensional Couette flow geometries are analyzed by a set of continuum modeling field equations originating from anti-symmetric/couple stress theories in the finite spin viscosity small spin velocity (FSV) limit. Analytical solutions are obtained for the first time to express the spin velocity, linear velocity, and effective viscosity in terms of the electric field strength, driving shear rate, boundary condition selection parameter, and spin viscosity. Good agreement is achieved between the FSV theoretical predictions presented herein and the experimental measurements reported in recent literature for the effective viscosity for low driving shear rates.  相似文献
