Four dipeptide (Gly-Gly, Gly-Val, Val-Val, Val-Gly) ester prodrugs of 9-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl]guanine (acyclovir, ACV) were synthesized. LC/MS was used to characterize the new prodrugs. A series of novel azo compounds with extended π-conjugated systems were prepared by azo coupling reaction compounds trans-2-(4′-aminostyryl)-thiophene, 1-(4-aminophenyl)-4-phenyl-1,3-butadiene and 4-amino-4′-methoxystilbene with some phenols. The compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against breast cancer adenocarcinoma (MCF-7), cervix adenocarcinoma (HeLa) and human embryonic kidney (HEK 293) cell lines using the MTT assay. The results showed all derivatives had more toxic effects than tamoxifen. Of all the compounds tested, the azo product obtained from coupling trans-2-(4′-Aminostyryl)-thiophene with 2-naphthol (compound 5b) exhibited the potent in vitro antiproliferative activity with IC50 27 ± 1 and 18 ± 0 µg/mL against MCF-7 and HeLa cell lines, respectively, while it was devoid of any cytotoxicity against normal HEK 293 cells even at 200 µg/mL. 相似文献

A chiron approach to a stereoselective route for the synthesis of aminocytitols from carbohydrates is described. The formal synthesis of (+)-conduramine E and (-)-conduramine E was achieved by utilizing this strategy. The key features of the synthetic strategy include one-pot three-component Petasis-Borono-Mannich reaction to introduce the syn-β-amino alcohol functionality of conduramine E and ring-closing metathesis to construct its carbocyclic core. Electrophoresis of core–shell composite soft particles possessing hydrophobic inner core grafted with highly charged polyelectrolyte layer (PEL) has been studied analytically. The PEL bears pH-dependent charge properties due to the presence of zwitterionic functional groups. The dielectric permittivity of the PEL and bulk aqueous medium were taken to be different, which resulted in the ion-partitioning effect. Objective of this study was to provide a simple expression for the mobility of such core–shell soft particles under Donnan limit where the thickness of the PEL well exceeds the electric double layer thickness. Going beyond the widely used Debye–Hückel linearization, the nonlinear Poisson–Boltzmann equation coupled with Stokes–Darcy–Brinkman equations was solved to determine the electrophoretic mobility. The derived expression further recovers all the existing results for the electrophoretic mobility under various simplified cases. The graphical presentation of the results illustrated the impact of pertinent parameters on the electrophoretic mobility of such a soft particle. 相似文献

The wurtzite phase of ZnS nanocrystal has been prepared by annealing in 200–600 °C temperature range, its cubic phase of 2–3 nm size, prepared through soft chemical method. Results of isochronal experiments of 2 h at different temperatures indicate that visible transformation to wurtzite from cubic ZnS appears at a temperature of 400 °C, which is about three times smaller than that of bulk ZnS phase transition temperature. The phases, nanostructures, and optical absorption characteristics are obtained through X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and UV–visible absorption spectroscopy. A stable and green photoluminescence emission peaked at 518 nm is observed from the 600 °C annealed samples, under ultraviolet light excitation. 相似文献

We report shape- and field-dependent magnetic properties of ellipsoid-, spindle-, flattened- and rhombohedra-shaped α-Fe2O3 samples prepared by solvothermal technique. We observed that a magnetic spin-flip mechanism, mostly known as Morin transition (TM), depends on the shape of α-Fe2O3 as well as on the applied magnetic field. In each of these structures the obtained value of TM was less than its bulk value of 263 K. We observed that TM shifted from highest 251.4 K for ellipsoid to lowest 220.8 K for rhombohedra structure, with intermediate values of TM for the other two structures. However, for rhombohedra structure TM shifted from 220.8 to 177.5 K under the external magnetic field of 100 Oe-30 kOe, respectively. The observed lowering of TM in the structured sample was analyzed in terms of elementary size, shape of the nanocrystallites, lattice parameters and occupancy of Fe+3 ions as well. These parameters were determined from the Rietveld refinement process using MAUD software. 相似文献
