Resorcinol derivatives are important building blocks in the synthesis of natural products and pharmaceutical compounds including cannabinoids. Here we describe the synthesis and the structural characterization of a key resorcinol which carries a fully restricted bridged bicyclic group. We also report a potential mechanism for the acid catalyzed condensation of (+)- or (−)-3-pinanol with 2,6-dimethoxyphenol. The synthesized resorcinol facilitates the development of novel conformationally restricted cannabinoid analogs.  相似文献

Structurally novel endoperoxides can be sythesized by the photocatalytic cyclotrimerization of bis(styrene) substrates with molecular oxygen. The optimal catalyst for this process is Ru(bpz)(3)(2+), which is a markedly more efficient catalyst for these photooxygention reactions than conventional organic photosensitizers. The 1,2-dioxolane products are amenable to synthetic manipulation and can be easily processed to 1,4-diols and γ-hydroxyketones. An initial screen of the biological activity of these compounds reveals promising inhibition of cancer cell growth.  相似文献

Acrolein (C(3)H(4)O) molecular line parameters, including infrared (IR) absorption positions, strengths, and nitrogen broadened half-widths, must be determined since they are not included in the high resolution transmission (HITRAN) molecular absorption database of spectral lines. These parameters are required for developing a quantitative analytical method for measuring acrolein in a single puff of cigarette smoke using tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS). The task is complex since acrolein has many highly overlapping infrared absorption lines in the room temperature spectrum and the cigarette smoke matrix contains thousands of compounds. This work describes the procedure for estimating the molecular line parameters for these overlapping absorption lines in the wavenumber range (958.7-958.9 cm(-1)) using quantitative reference spectra taken with the infrared lead-salt TDLAS instrument at different pressures and concentrations. The nitrogen broadened half-width for acrolein is 0.0937 cm(-1)atm(-1) and to our knowledge, is the first time it has been reported in the literature.  相似文献

Abstract—The viability of peripheral blood mononuclear cells, as measured by trypan blue dye exclusion, is decreased by exposure to UV radiation in vitro . 3,6‐Dinitropyrazolo[4,3‐c]pyrazole was prepared using an efficient modified process. With selected cations, ten nitrogen‐rich energetic salts and three metal salts were synthesized in high yield based on the 3,6‐dinitropyrazolo[4,3‐c]pyrazolate anion. These compounds were fully characterized by IR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopies, as well as elemental analyses. The structures of the neutral compounds 4 and its salt 16 were confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction showing extensive hydrogen‐bonding interactions. The neutral pyrazole precursor and its salts are remarkably thermally stable. Based on the calculated heats of formation and measured densities, detonation pressures (22.5–35.4 GPa) and velocities (7948–9005 m s?1) were determined, and they compare favorably with those of TNT and RDX. Their impact and friction sensitivities range from 12 to >40 J and 80 to 360 N, respectively. These properties make them competitive as insensitive and thermally stable high‐energy density materials.  相似文献

6-Diethylaminobenzo[b]furan-2-carboxaldehyde was synthesized in four steps and 48% overall yield starting from 4-diethylaminosalicylaldehyde. Five cyan dyes were made from this aldehyde using malononitrile dimer and 2-dicyanomethylene-3-cyano-4,5,5-trimethyl-2,5-dihydrofuran. The crystal structures of two dyes are included.  相似文献

Environmentally acceptable alternatives to toxic lead‐based primary explosives are becoming increasingly important for energetic materials. In this study, potassium 4,4′‐bis(dinitromethyl)‐3,3′‐azofurazanate, comprising two dinitromethyl groups and an azofurazan moiety, was synthesized and isolated as a new energetic 3D metal–organic framework (MOF). Several attractive properties, including a density of 2.039 g cm?3, a decomposition temperature of 229 °C, a detonation velocity of 8138 m s?1, a detonation pressure of 30.1 GPa, an impact sensitivity of 2 J, and friction sensitivity of 20 N make 4 a good candidate as a green primary explosive.  相似文献

We report the ring‐opening homopolymerization of α‐allyl(valerolactone), compound 2 , and its copolymerization with ε‐caprolactone and δ‐valerolactone using stannous(II) catalysis. Although the polymerization of substituted δ‐valerolactones has received little attention for the preparation of functional polyesters, we found that compound 2 may be incorporated in controllable amounts into copolymers with other lactones, or simply homopolymerized to give a highly functionalized, novel poly(valerolactone). The presence of the pendant allyl substituent had a substantial impact on the thermal properties of these materials relative to conventional polyesters prepared from lactones, and most of the polymers presented here are liquids at room temperature. Dihydroxylation of the pendant allyl groups gave polyesters with increased hydrophilicity that degraded more or less rapidly depending on their extent of functionality. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
