The 7Li + 11B reaction has been investigated in the energy range 5.5 MeV < E lab < 19MeV, by detecting γ-ray resulting from the de-excitation of evaporation residues. Statistical compound-nucleus calculations have been performed in order to extract both the cross-sections of individual exit channels and the fusion cross-section of the system. The total angular momentum that the compoundn ucleus 18O can support has been deduced and is seen to exhibit saturation for a limiting value of 8.5ħ at the high-energy extreme. The results are discussed in terms of the entrance channel and statistical yrast line limitations.  相似文献

We establish a quantitative connection between the amount of lost classical information about a quantum state and the concomitant loss of entanglement. Using methods that have been developed for the optimal purification of mixed states, we find a class of mixed states with known distillable entanglement. These results can be used to determine the quantum capacity of a quantum channel which randomizes the order of transmitted signals.  相似文献

QCD O(αs2) corrections to large-pT real and virtual photon production from scattering in the quark-gluon channel are studied in the soft gluon limit. In this limit we carefully preserve the analytic structure of amplitudes in the small-momenta integration regions. The result is a rather large correction to the Born term which significantly improves the agreement with data on p + p → γ + X. The application of the approach to other processes is discussed and the dominant terms of the O(αs2) correction to e+e? → three jets are reproduced.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Die Untersuchung zeigt, daß die modernen quantitativen Entscheidungstechniken, wie sie von Operations-Research zur Verfügung gestellt werden, in beachtlichem Umfang in Industrieunternehmen Fuß gefaßt haben. Jedoch sind die Gebiete, in denen die Anwendung von Operations Research ihren Schwerpunkt hat, relativ eng begrenzt. Es sind dies die Fertigungsplanung und Fertigungssteuerung, die Lagerhaltung sowie die Absatzprognose.Mit zunehmender Unternehmensgröße erweitert sich das Spektrum in Richtung Finanzbereich, Investitionsbereich sowie integrierte Gesamtplanungsmodelle.
Summary The empirical study has shown that the modern decisiontechniques of Operations Research have found favour on a large scale in western-german industrial firms.The main application of Operations Research, however, is concentrated relatively narrow on a few problems. These are: productionplanning, storing, and sales forecasting.With increasing size of business the spectrum of OR-application extends to financial problems, investment problems and at least to corporate models.

Metallic conduction through engineered DNA: DNA nanoelectronic building blocks   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
A novel way of engineering DNA molecules involves substituting the imino proton of each base pair with a metal ion to obtain M-DNA with altered electronic properties. We report the first direct evidence of metalliclike conduction through 15 microm long M-DNA. In contrast, measurements on B-DNA give evidence of semiconducting behavior with a few hundred meV band gap at room temperature. The drastic change of M-DNA conductivity points to a new degree of freedom in the development of future molecular electronics utilizing DNA, such as creating all-DNA junction devices for use as nanoelectronic building blocks.  相似文献

The conversion of static electric fields to electromagnetic radiation by the incidence of a superluminous ionization front on plasma is investigated. For extremely superluminous fronts, the radiation is close to the plasma frequency and is converted with efficiency of order unity. A proof-of-principle experiment was conducted using semiconductor plasma containing an alternately charged capacitor array. The process has important implications in astrophysical plasmas, such as supernova emission, and to laboratory development of compact, coherent, tunable radiation sources in the THz range.  相似文献

Tunneling oscillations induced in a double quantum well by a monochromatic electromagnetic wave incident perpendicularly to the plane of the well, and polarized along the direction of its growth, are treated. For the wave frequency in proximity to the energy difference between two states of opposite symmetry, a periodic energy exchange between the wave and a carrier which moves from one energy state to the other is established. When the carrier starts from the low energy level it borrows energy from the wave until it reaches the higher energy state. On its way the carrier performs current oscillations that cease whenever it reaches an eigenstate. Similarly, oscillation is required during the carrier's motion from the high to the low energy state for the photon emission in order that the radiation gets back the energy already given to the carrier. Thus an accelerating charge not only radiates, but also absorbs wave energy. When there prevails a considerable population difference between the two levels the possibility of quantum beat exits.  相似文献
