This paper presents some properties of two restricted classes of multi-degree-of-freedom potential systems subjected to Gaussian white-noise excitations. Specifically, potential systems which exhibit damping terms with energy-dependent polynomial form are referred to. In this context, first systems with coupled stiffness terms and damping terms depending on the total energy are investigated. Then, systems with uncoupled stiffness terms and damping terms depending on the total energy in each degree-of-freedom are considered. For these two classes, it is found that algebraic relations among the stationary statistical moments of the energy functions can be derived by applying standard tools of Itô calculus. Further, it is noted that these relations are very useful within the framework of an equivalent statistical non-linearization technique to build approximate solutions for arbitrary non-linear systems. 相似文献

A systematic μSR study of the local magnetic field distribution in a series of oxygen deficient YBa2Cu3O
x
samples with 6.5⩽x⩽7.0 is reported. Special attention was given to perform the experiments under the same conditions, so that the oxygen content
of the measured samples was the only parameter varied. The behavior of the depolarization rate σ as a function of the oxygen
contentx was found to have strong similarities with the behavior of the critical temperatureT
c
as a function ofx. In particular, two step-like increases of σ were observed abovex=6.7 and 6.9. The temperature dependence of the normalized depolarization rate σ(T)/σ(0) is well described by the two-fluid model forx⩾6.781(1) and clearly deviates from this behavior forx⩽6.704(1). Wet chemical synthesis of precursor oxide ceramics is a method to obtain small particulate powders. Such powders are far more
prone to ageing in air than more traditional precursors. Thermogravimetric analysis is used to highlight the species responsible
for the ageing of ceramic precursors. Indeed water and carbon dioxide are observed to evolve from aged powders. Ceramics obtained
from aged precursors can reach a very low final density with respect to the theoretical value. A large degree of the original
sintering properties can be recovered after washing the aged powders with ethanol in a basic medium. 相似文献

The paper addresses bivariate surface fitting problems, where data points lie on the vertices of a rectangular grid. Efficient
and stable algorithms can be found in the literature to solve such problems. If data values are missing at some grid points,
there exists a computational method for finding a least squares spline by fixing appropriate values for the missing data.
We extended this technique to arbitrary least squares problems as well as to linear least squares problems with linear equality
constraints. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the technique presented.

Dynamic NMR investigations of a number of 2-amino-3-aroyl-4,6-diaryl-pyrylium salts were carried out. The barrier to rotation
of the partial C, N double bond was determined and proved to be in the range of 62 to 63 kJ/mol. Quantum chemical calculations
of bond orders and electron densities of the different atoms in the molecules show the distinct double bond character of the
exocyclic C, N bond. This is in agreement with the relatively high barrier to rotation. By quantum chemical ab initio 3-21G
calculations, the dynamic behaviour of this kind of compounds was simulated; two pairs (image and mirror image) of ground
state conformations, in coincidence with the experiment, were obtained.

In a recent paper [17] we proposed a stochastic algorithm which generates optimal probabilities for the decompression of
an image represented by the fixed point of an IFS system (SAOP). We show here that such an algorithm is in fact a non trivial
example of Generalized Random System with Complete Connections. We also exhibit a generalization which could represent the
solution to the inverse problem for an image with grey levels, if a fixed set of contraction maps is available.

Roughness effect on the heat transfer and pressure loss performances of microscale tubes and channels are investigated through a finite element CFD code. Surface roughness is explicitly modelled through a set of random generated peaks along the ideal smooth surface. Different peak shapes and distributions are considered; geometrical parameters are representative of tubes in the diameter range from 50 to 150 μm. The use of a fine enough mesh allows the direct computation of tube performances under the assumption of incompressible fully developed flow. As a result, a significant increase in Poiseuille number is detected for all of the configurations considered, while the effect of roughness on heat transfer rate is smaller and highly dependent on the tube shape. 相似文献

The time-resolved secondary emission of resonantly created excitons in GaAs quantum wells is studied using femtosecond up-conversion spectroscopy. The behaviour of the rise and decay of the secondary emission and reflectivity in quantum wells is strongly dependent upon the disorder at the interfaces, the exciton density and the temperature. In the case of low densities and temperatures the emission is independent of the exciton density and rises quadratically in time, in excellent agreement with recent theory for Rayleigh scattering from two-dimensional excitons subjected to disorder. These rise times are compared directly with
times measured by time-integrated four-wave mixing (FWM). The comparison of the dynamics displayed in time-resolved secondary radiation and time-integrated FWM provide a clear understanding of the coherence properties of QW excitons in the first few picoseconds after excitation. High-contrast oscillations that are due to quantum beats between the heavy- and light-hole 1s-states are seen. The visibility decay at very low densities is long
