This paper reports on the results of measurements performed in the course of the ATIC-2 balloon experiment (2002–2003) for the energy spectra of particles (such as protons; He, C, O, Ne, Mg, Si, and Fe nuclei; and some groups of nuclei) and the all-particle energy spectrum in primary cosmic rays at energies ranging from 50 GeV to 200 TeV. The conclusion is drawn that the energy spectra of protons and helium nuclei differ substantially (the spectrum of protons is steeper) and that the shape of the energy spectra of protons and heavy nuclei cannot be described by a power function.  相似文献

It has been shown using atomic-force microscopy that the PbI2 impurity is embedded in the CdI2 crystal lattice in the form of nanocrystalline inclusions. The model of a high-energy cation exciton related to the 3 P 2 state of a free Pb2+ ion has been considered for the impurity absorption (excitation) band at 3.23 eV. The resonance narrow photoluminescence bands with the split absorption band at 3.12 and 3.20 eV have been compared with the emission of a free Frenkel exciton. It has been demonstrated that, in the temperature range 25–45 K, there arises a self-trapped exciton state, and the main role in its formation is played by the bending vibrations of the CdI2 crystal lattice. The potential barrier separating the self-trapped state from the free exciton is 23 meV. The photoluminescence band at 2.4 eV is assigned to the emission of the self-trapped high-energy cation exciton of PbI2 in the CdI2 crystal lattice.  相似文献

Experimental data about high-energy particle fluxes obtained in 1990-2000 in the Riabina-2 experiment on board MIR orbital station are analyzed in the sense of data failures. There are two types of failure. The first type is represented as sharp positive or negative spikes on the relatively smooth time profiles of the particle fluxes. The second type is randomly distributed data gaps with durations of up to tens minutes. These two kinds of the data failures are formalized in the form of "failure occurrence probability" (FOP). The comparison analysis of the FOP with solar activity, solar wind conditions and geomagnetic activity shows that one half of the observed data failures are owing to noise originating mostly from electronic equipment on board MIR station. The other half of the data failures are closely connected to geomagnetic storms and interplanetary disturbances. The space station surface charge and radio signal distortion in disturbed ionosphere are considered as possible phenomena responsible for the data failures.  相似文献
