The nature of a jet’s fragmentation in heavy-ion collisions has the potential to cast light on the mechanism of jet quenching. However, the presence of the huge underlying event complicates the reconstruction of the jet fragmentation function as a function of the momentum fraction z of hadrons in the jet. Here we propose the use of moments of the fragmentation function. These quantities appear to be as sensitive to quenching modifications as the fragmentation function directly in z. We show that they are amenable to background subtraction using the same jet-area-based techniques proposed in the past for jet p t ’s. Furthermore, complications due to correlations between background-fluctuation contributions to the jet’s p t and to its particle content are easily corrected for.  相似文献

Cysteamine core polyamidoamine G-4 dendron branched with β-cyclodextrins was chemisorbed on the surface of Au electrodes and further coated with Pt nanoparticles. Adamantane-modified glucose oxidase was subsequently immobilized on the nanostructured electrode surface by supramolecular association. This enzyme electrode was used to construct a reagentless amperometric biosensor for glucose, making use of the electrochemical oxidation of H2O2 generated in the enzyme reaction. The amperometric response of the biosensor was rapid (6 s) and a linear function of glucose concentration between 5 and 705 μmol?L?1. The biosensor had a low detection limit of 2.0 μmol?L?1, sensitivity of 197 mA?mol?1?L?cm?2, and retained 94 % of its initial response after storage for nine days at 4 °C.  相似文献

Reaction of 2-pyridine N-4 ethylthiosemicarbazone, HAm4E, with AgNO3 leads to the hexanuclear compound [Ag(E124tazt)]6 (1) (HE124tazt = 4-ethyl-5-pyridin-2-yl-2,4-dihydro-[1,2,4]triazol-3-thione), the result of an oxidative cyclization of the starting thiosemicarbazone. All Ag atoms of [Ag(E124tazt)]6 are bridged through the six S atoms of the deprotonated E124tazt ligand to form two bridged Ag3S3 rings. Each silver atom exhibits a trigonal planar coordination geometry bonded to two thiolate S atoms and one N atom from the bidentate E124tazt ligand. The AgAg distances are much shorter than the van der Waals’ radius sum for silver(I), suggesting binding interactions between the silver atoms, which were confirmed by means of DFT calculations. The X-ray single-crystal structural analysis reveals the arrangement of 1 as a two-dimensional (2D) network via π–π stacking interactions. Preliminary luminescence measurements have been carried out.  相似文献

Reactions of N-(6-amino-3-methyl-5-nitroso-4-oxo-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-yl)glycine with NIII and CdII ions in 1:1 and 1:4 metal:ligand ratios, in aqueous media at 35°C and 0.1m KCl ionic strength, were studied by potentiometric methods to determine the complex species equilibria formation and their formation constants.Solid complex species from MII/ligand systems (MII=FeII, CoII, CdII and HgII) in aqueous media were isolated and characterized by analytical data, spectroscopic methods (i.r.,1 H-n.m.r., 13C-n.m.r. and electronic), and thermal and magnetic measurements.  相似文献

The human lectin galectin‐1 (hGal‐1) translates sugar signals, that is, β‐galactosides, into effects on the level of cells, for example, growth regulation, and has become a model for studying binding of biopharmaceutically relevant derivatives. Bound‐state conformations of Galβ‐C‐(1→3)‐Glcβ‐OMe ( 1 ) and its βGal‐(1→3)‐βGlc‐OMe disaccharide parent compound were studied by using NMR spectroscopy (transferred (TR)‐NOESY data), assisted by docking experiments and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The molecular recognition process involves a conformational selection event. Although free C‐glycoside access four distinct conformers in solution, hGal‐1 recognizes shape of a local minimum of compound 1 , the synΦ/synΨ conformer, not the structure at global minimum. MD simulations were run to explain, in structural terms, the observed geometry of the complex.  相似文献

Electrochemical immunosensors for ceruloplasmin (Cp) are reported for the first time. Two configurations involving magnetic beads (MBs) functionalized with Protein A or Streptavidin for immobilization of Cp antibodies were compared, using competitive immunoassay with synthesized alkaline phosphatase‐Cp conjugate. Upon capturing MBs‐immunoconjugates onto screen‐printed carbon electrodes, quantification of Cp was accomplished by DPV measurement of 1‐naphthol generated after 1‐naphthylphosphate addition. Linear ranges of calibration curves and detection limits were 0.1–1000 µg/mL and 0.040 µg/mL (Protein A‐MBs), and 0.025–20 µg/mL and 0.018 µg/mL (Strept‐MBs). Good results were obtained in the determination of Cp in spiked human serum samples.  相似文献

In order to study the influence of association on the isobaric thermal expansivity, this magnitude has been experimentally determined for a set of associating fluids within the temperature and pressure intervals (278.15 to 348.15) K and (5 to 55) MPa by means of calorimetric measurements. The 1-alcohol series, from methanol to 1-decanol, 2-pentanol, 3-pentanol, and 1-pentylamine were selected. With a view on checking the quality of the experimental data, they are compared with available literature values; good coherence was obtained for most of the studied liquids. The analysis of the experimental results reveals that the association capability presents a strong influence not only on the value of the isobaric thermal expansivity itself, but also on its behaviour against temperature and pressure.  相似文献

In this paper, a design of a generic multipurpose device is described. It can operate, in its basic structure, as a tunable wavelength filter, wavelength multiplexer or λ router; by using a more complex structure, the device works as an optical add drop multiplexer (OADM) or/and optical switch (OS). It can be used in both coarse and dense wavelength division multiplexing technology (CWDM/DWDM) according to the network application. Performance parameters of the device, like switching time, losses, crosstalk or polarization insensitivity are analyzed and compared with other switching technologies. Some applications of the holographic WDM multifunction device in METRO networks are described, such as the utilization of OADMs in optical path protection/reconfiguration between nodes (1 + 1 configuration) and the use of optical switches to interconnect nodes of the METRO–access network with the METRO-Core or long haul networks in a reconfigurable topology. Other applications in Access networks are possible, like the use of the OADMs in optical path protection between the optical line termination (OLT) at the central office (CO) and the remote node (RN) in a fiber to the office passive-optical network (FTTO-PON) or, in some specific cases, the utilization as tuneable holographic filters in a FTTO application, at the Business ONT (BONT), to select the assigned optical wavelength according to the services provided to the customer.  相似文献
