Expressions are derived for the spectrum of the field generated by a planar, homogeneous, secondary source of any spectral distribution and of any state of spatial coherence. It is shown that the state of coherence affects the contributions of the homogeneous as well as the evanescent waves of the emitted field. The near-field spectra are studied in detail. The structural and magnetic properties of the Pr1?xMn1+xO3 perovskites were studied. The increase of x (i.e., ) leads to the decrease of the orthorhombic deformation and of the Néel temperature and, simultaneously, to an increase of the ferromagnetic contribution. Carbonylation of the hafnocene dinitrogen complex, [Me(2)Si(η(5)-C(5)Me(4))(η(5)-C(5)H(3)-(t)Bu)Hf](2)(μ(2), η(2), η(2)-N(2)), yields the corresponding hafnocene oxamidide compound, arising from N(2) cleavage with concomitant C-C and C-N bond formation. Monitoring the addition of 4 atm of CO by NMR spectroscopy allowed observation of an intermediate hafnocene complex with terminal and bridging isocyanates and a terminal carbonyl. (13)C labeling studies revealed that the carbonyl is the most substitutionally labile ligand in the intermediate and that N-C bond formation in the bridging isocyanate is reversible. No exchange was observed with the terminal isocyanate. Kinetic data established that the conversion of the intermediate to the hafnocene oxamidide was not appreciably inhibited by carbon monoxide and support a pathway involving rate-determining C-C coupling of the isocyanate ligands. Addition of methyl iodide to the intermediate hafnocene resulted in additional carbon-carbon bond formation arising from CO homologation following nitrogen methylation. Similar reactivity with (t)BuNCO was observed where C-C coupling occurred upon cycloaddition of the heterocumulene. By contrast, treatment of the intermediate hafnocene with CO(2) resulted in formation of a μ-oxo hafnocene with two terminal isocyanate ligands. 相似文献

A long-standing issue regarding the local and long-range structure of V(2)O(5)*nH(2)O xerogel has been successfully addressed. The full three-dimensional structure of the lamellar turbostratic V(2)O(5)*nH(2)O xerogel was determined by the atomic pair distribution function technique. We show that on the atomic scale the slabs of the xerogel can be described well as almost perfect pairs (i.e., bilayers) of single V(2)O(5) layers made of square pyramidal VO(5) units. These slabs are separated by water molecules and stack along the z-axis of a monoclinic unit cell (space group C2/m) with parameters a = 11.722(3) A, b = 3.570(3) A, c = 11.520(3) A, and beta = 88.65 degrees. The stacking sequence shows signatures of turbostratic disorder and a structural coherence limited to 50 A. 相似文献

The effect of thickness non-homogeneity on the drainage of microscopic horizontal foam films was studied experimentally and theoretically. Quasi-static and asymmetrical distribution of thickness irregularities over the film surface was established in the experiment. This type of dimpling was modelled theoretically and employed to derive a new equation for the film thinning. The rate of reductive elimination for a family of zirconocene isobutyl hydride complexes, Cp(CpR(n)())Zr(CH(2)CHMe(2))H (Cp = eta(5)-C(5)Me(5), CpR(n)() = substituted cyclopentadienyl), has been measured as a function of cyclopentadienyl substituent. In general, the rate of reductive elimination increases modestly with the incorporation of sterically demanding substituents such as [CMe(3)] or [SiMe(3)]. A series of isotopic labeling experiments was used to elucidate the mechanism and rate-determining step for the reductive elimination process. From these studies, a new zirconocene isobutyl hydride complex, Cp' '(2)Zr(CH(2)CHMe(2))(H) (Cp' ' = eta(5)-C(5)H(3)-1,3-(SiMe(3))(2)), was designed and synthesized such that facile reductive elimination of isobutane and activation of dinitrogen was observed. The resulting dinitrogen complex, [Cp' '(2)Zr](2)(mu(2), eta(2),eta(2)-N(2)), has been characterized by X-ray diffraction and displays a bond length of 1.47 A for the N(2) ligand, the longest observed in any metallocene dinitrogen complex. Solution magnetic susceptibility demonstrates that [Cp' '(2)Zr](2)(mu(2), eta(2), eta(2)-N(2)) is a ground-state triplet, consistent with two Zr(III), d(1) centers. Mechanistic studies reveal that the dinitrogen complex is derived from the reaction of N(2) with the resulting cyclometalated zirconocene hydride rather than directly from reductive elimination of alkane. 相似文献
