Correlations in the azimuthal angle between the two largest transverse momentum jets have been measured using the D0 detector in p (-)p collisions at a center-of-mass energy sqrt[s]=1.96 TeV. The analysis is based on an inclusive dijet event sample in the central rapidity region corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 150 pb(-1). Azimuthal correlations are stronger at larger transverse momenta. These are well described in perturbative QCD at next-to-leading order in the strong coupling constant, except at large azimuthal differences where contributions with low transverse momentum are significant.  相似文献

Inclusive dijet production at large pseudorapidity intervals (Deltaeta) between the two jets has been suggested as a regime for observing Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) dynamics. We have measured the dijet cross section for large Deltaeta in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=1800 and 630 GeV using the D0 detector. The partonic cross section increases strongly with the size of Deltaeta. The observed growth is even stronger than expected on the basis of BFKL resummation in the leading logarithmic approximation. The growth of the partonic cross section can be accommodated with an effective BFKL intercept of alphaBFKL(20 GeV)=1.65+/-0.07.  相似文献

We report on a measurement of sigma(pp-->W+X)B(W-->taunu) in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=1.8 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron. The measurement is based on an integrated luminosity (lum) of 18 pb-1 of data collected with the D0 detector during 1994-1995. We find that sigma(pp-->W+X)B(W-->taunu)=2.22+/-0.09 (stat)+/-0. 10 (syst)+/-0.10 (lum) nb. Lepton universality predicts that the ratio of the tau and electron electroweak charged current couplings to the W boson, gWtau/gWe, be unity. We find gWtau/gWe=0.980+/-0.031, in agreement with lepton universality.  相似文献

Radon/thoron and their progeny concentrations were measured in different types of dwellings at different locations around industrial areas, cities and rural areas of Brahmaputra Valley of Assam by using LR-115 (type-II) plastic detector. Radon levels of different dwellings were analysed with reference to the nature of building materials, ventilation patterns and the types of underlying soil. The results were discussed under the light of exposure limits set by ICRP. The average concentrations of indoor radon and thoron varied from 39.5 to 215.2 Bqm−3 and 12.9 to 37.6 Bqm−3, respectively. The estimated inhalation dose due to radon, thoron and their daughter products in the study areas varied from 0.53 to 1.00 μSvh−1.  相似文献

The ν6 band of 13CH3I and the ν6 band of 12CH2DI have been recorded under Doppler-limited resolution in the region 820–866 cm?1 using a tunable diode laser spectrometer. For 13CH3I the constants for the ν6 band were determined by simultaneous analysis of seven pQ(J,K) branches and several pP(J,K) and pR(J,K) transitions. For 12CH2DI, the slight asymmetry introduced by the single D atom gives rise to noticeable asymmetry effects in the spectra of some of the pQ(J,K) subbands. From the analysis of six such subbands, the molecular constants for the ν6 level were determined.  相似文献

The problem of multivariate interval interpolation has been defined. Two algorithms for the computation of a multivariate interval interpolating polynomial have been proposed. The algorithms have been compared among themselves with respect to the number of interval arithmetic operations required to compute them and the width of the computed intervals. One of the algorithms is recommended for fast computation and the other for obtaining the most accurate results.  相似文献

Diode laser spectra of the ν2 band of NO2 are recorded and analyzed. Due to the very high resolution (0.002 cm?1), the Q branches are completely resolved. Although the whole ν2 band is not completely covered, the quality of the spectra led to an improved set of rotational and spin-rotation constants. The band center is found to be ν2 = 749.6541 ± 0.0012 cm?1.  相似文献

The vibration-rotation spectrum of the ν6 fundamental of methyl iodide has been recorded in the 824 to 862 cm?1 region by using a tunable semiconductor diode laser spectrometer. The rotational analysis performed for six Q branches pQ(J,3), pQ(J,4), pQ(J,5), pQ(J,6), pQ(J,7), and qQ(J,8) led to accurate values for several molecular constants. The nuclear quadrupole splitting arising from the spin of iodine has been observed very clearly in the low J transitions and for various K values.  相似文献

We present here the analysis of the distribution of rapidity intervals in Proton-Nucleus interactions at 24 GeV/c in emulsion. The statistics of the rapidity intervals Δk, n is discussed in terms of Multiperipheral model. The application of such a method is very useful for the analysis of clusterization phenomenon in individual events. The correlation between neighbouring particles in rapidity is observed in small multiplicity events while multiple correlation is observed in high multiplicity events.  相似文献
