Mesoporous Co3O4 nanosheets (Co3O4‐NS) and nitrogen‐doped reduced graphene oxide (N‐rGO) are synthesized by a facile hydrothermal approach, and the N‐rGO/Co3O4‐NS composite is formulated through an infiltration procedure. Eventually, the obtained composites are subjected to various characterization techniques, such as XRD, Raman spectroscopy, surface area analysis, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and TEM. The lithium‐storage properties of N‐rGO/Co3O4‐NS composites are evaluated in a half‐cell assembly to ascertain their suitability as a negative electrode for lithium‐ion battery applications. The 2D/2D nanostructured mesoporous N‐rGO/Co3O4‐NS composite delivered a reversible capacity of about 1305 and 1501 mAh g?1 at a current density of 80 mA g?1 for the 1st and 50th cycles, respectively. Furthermore, excellent cyclability, rate capability, and capacity retention characteristics are noted for the N‐rGO/Co3O4‐NS composite. This improved performance is mainly related to the existence of mesoporosity and a sheet‐like 2D hierarchical morphology, which translates into extra space for lithium storage and a reduced electron pathway. Also, the presence of N‐rGO and carbon shells in Co3O4‐NS should not be excluded from such exceptional performance, which serves as a reliable conductive channel for electrons and act as synergistically to accommodate volume expansion upon redox reactions. Ex‐situ TEM, impedance spectroscopy, and XPS, are also conducted to corroborate the significance of the 2D morphology towards sustained lithium storage.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline NaNbO3 and NaTaO3 have been synthesized by the reverse micellar technique for the first time. The particle size of NaNbO3 was found to be 18 nm while that of NaTaO3 was found to be 40 nm (much smaller size than most of the earlier reports on NaTaO3). Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data and Raman spectroscopy confirm that the nanoparticles of NaNbO3 and NaTaO3 have orthorhombically distorted structures with Pmc21 and Pbnm space groups, respectively. The dielectric constant at 25 °C of NaNbO3 and NaTaO3 was found to be 209 and 147 at 1 kHz, respectively. The antiferroelectric transition in NaNbO3 shifts to lower temperature (325 °C) in the nanocrystalline solid.  相似文献

A detailed performance evaluation of a simple high intensity LED based photoreactor exploiting a narrow wavelength range of the LED to match the spectrum of a dye in a photocatalysis system is reported. A dye sensitized (coumarin-343, lambda max = 446 nm) TiO 2 photocatalyst was used for the degradation of 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) in an aqueous medium using the 436 nm LED based photoreactor. The LED reactor performed competitively with a conventional multilamp reactor and sunlight in the degradation of 4-CP. Light intensities entering the reaction vessel were measured by conventional ferrioxalate actinometry. The results can be fitted by approximate first order kinetic behavior in this system. Hydroxyl radicals were detected by spin trapping EPR, and effects of OH radical quenchers on kinetics suggest that the reaction is initiated by these radicals or their equivalents. LEDs operating at competitive intensities offer a number of advantages to the photochemist or the environmental engineer via long life, efficient current to light conversion, narrow bandwidth, forward directed output, and direct current power for remote operation. Matching light source spectrum to chromophore is a key.  相似文献

Glass systems of composition 90R(2)B(4)O(7)+9PbO+1Fe(2)O(3) (R=Li, Na and K) and 90Li(2)B(4)O(7)+(10-x)PbO+xFe(2)O(3) (x=0.5, 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9 mol %) have been investigated by means of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and optical absorption techniques. The EPR spectra exhibit three resonance signals at g approximately 6.0, 4.2 and 2.0. The resonances at g approximately 6.0 and 4.2 are attributed to Fe(3+) ions in rhombic and axial symmetry sites, respectively. The g approximately 2.0 resonance signal is due to two or more Fe(3+) ions coupled together with dipolar interaction. The EPR spectra of 1 mol % of Fe(2)O(3) doped in lithium lead tetraborate glass samples have been studied at different temperatures (123-433 K). The intensity of g approximately 4.2 resonance signal decreases and the intensity of g approximately 2.0 resonance signal increases with the increase of temperature. The line widths are found to be independent of temperature. The EPR spectra exhibit a marked concentration dependence on iron content. A decrease in intensity for the resonance signal at g approximately 4.2 with increase in iron content for more than 4 mol % has been observed in lithium lead tetraborate glass samples and this has been attributed to the formation of Fe(3+) ion clusters in the glass samples. The paramagnetic susceptibility (chi) is calculated from the EPR data at various temperatures and the Curie constant (C) has been evaluated from 1/chi versus T graph. The optical absorption spectrum of Fe(3+) ions in lithium lead tetraborate glasses exhibits three bands characteristic of Fe(3+) ions in an octahedral symmetry. The crystal field parameter D(q) and the Racah interelectronic repulsion parameters B and C have also been evaluated. The value of interelectronic repulsion parameter B (825 cm(-1)) obtained in the present work suggests that the bonding is moderately covalent.  相似文献

A method for generating aperiodic tilings with five fold symmetry is discussed here. Basic patterns formed within decagons can be used to fill two dimensional space, by matching such suitable patterns. It appears to be possible to generate perfect tilings without retracing already established coordinates imposing conditions at the initial stages of generating them. Various possible ways to generate tilings, when perfectness is not required, are discussed. The calculated diffraction patterns for some representative finite size tilings are shown. There are subtle differences in the intensities of peaks in the diffraction patterns corresponding to different finite size tilings constructed using intersecting decagons. These effects persist for a larger number of scatterers in weak peaks than in strong peaks. They are unaffected by an introduction of systematic disorder. These effects could be termed as the finite size boundary effects. There are also small shifts in the peak positions owing to the finite size effects. The possibility of formation of large approximate square cells in large tilings is shown.  相似文献
