Supramolecular Luminescent Lanthanide Dimers for Fluoride Sequestering and Sensing

Lanthanide complexes (Ln=Eu, Tb, and Yb) that are based on a C₂‐symmetric cyclen scaffold were prepared and characterized. The addition of fluoride anions to aqueous solutions of the complexes resulted in the formation of dinuclear supramolecular compounds in which the anion is confined into the cavity that is formed by the two complexes. The supramolecular assembly process was monitored by UV/Vis absorption, luminescence, and NMR spectroscopy and high‐resolution mass spectrometry. The X‐ray crystal structure of the europium dimer revealed that the architecture of the scaffold is stabilized by synergistic effects of the Eu? F? Eu bridging motive, π stacking interactions, and a four‐component hydrogen‐bonding network, which control the assembly of the two [EuL] entities around the fluoride ion. The strong association in water allowed for the luminescence sensing of fluoride down to a detection limit of 24 nM .

应用电喷雾（ESI）质谱及其多级串联质谱（MS~n）技术研究了三个氨基酸衍 生物N-(N-亚甲基-2-吡咯烷酮）-缬氨酸（PMV），N，N-二-（N-亚甲基-2-吡咯烷 酮）-亮氨酸（PML）和N，N-二-（N-亚甲基-2-吡咯烷酮）-β-丙氨酸（PMA）在电 喷雾条件下的质谱行为。在此条件下三个氨基酸衍生物PMV，PML和PMA可以质子化 形式PMVH~+，PMLH~+和PMAH~+存在，并且检测到它们的Na~+和K~+的加合物。在电 喷雾条件下PMV，PML和PMA优先采取C-N键的断裂，并且通过分子间的氢键作用形成 了许多二聚和三聚物种。     

Anionic water-soluble sulfonated phthalocyanines: microwave-assisted synthesis,aggregation behaviours,electrochemical and in-situ spectroelectrochemical characterisation

In this work, a phthalonitrile derivative bearing p-sulfonylphenoxy group at the 3-position has been synthesised. The water-soluble non-peripherally tetrasubstituted zinc (3) and cobalt (4) phthalocyanines were obtained by cyclotetramerisation of this phthalonitrile derivative in the presence of anhydrous metal salts by microwave irradiation. The compounds have been characterised by using FT-IR, ¹H NMR, UV–Vis and Mass spectrometry (MS) data. The aggregation behaviours of these compounds were investigated in methanol, DMSO, DMF, and water. We have also studied the aggregation behaviours of the phthalocyanine complex 3 in various DMSO/water mixtures. Additionally, the redox properties of the phthalocyanine complexes were examined in dimethylsulfoxide by voltammetry and in situ spectroelectrochemistry. Redox behaviours of the complexes supported the structures of the complexes. Metal and ring-based reductions were observed for 4 and only ring-based electron transfer processes were observed with 3.     

Synthesis of SnO_2 nanorods from aqueous solution:The effect of preparation conditions on the formed patterns

<正>SnO_2 nanorods were deposited on the Si substrates in an aqueous solution containing both SnCl_4 and CO(NH_2)_2.It is found that different self-assembled patterns of SnO_2 nanorods can be obtained by changing the deposition conditions such as the molar ratio of CO(NH_2)_2 to SnCl_4 and the pretreatment of the substrate.Scattered SnO_2 nanorods,for example,can be changed into flower-like patterns when the molar ratio of CO(NH_2)_2 to SnCl_4 is raised,and well-aligned nanorod arrays can be formed when the pretreatment of the substrate is changed.In addition,some interesting patterns,e.g.tree-like patterns,can also be observed.     

Strong coupling constants of light pseudoscalar mesons with heavy baryons in QCD

We calculate the strong coupling constants of light pseudoscalar mesons with heavy baryons within the light cone QCD sum rules method. It is shown that sextet–sextet, sextet–antitriplet and antitriplet–antitriplet transitions are described by one universal invariant function for each class. A comparison of our results on the coupling constants with the predictions existing in literature is also presented.
