This work gives an overview of the possibilities to improve the wetting behavior of precursors for coated conductors on non-porous
substrates. Within this work, all coatings were performed on a metallic Ni–W/La2Zr2O7/CeO2 substrate using water-based Y, Ba, Cu containing precursors. The results described in this paper can be used for different
technologies of chemical solution deposition, as there are ink jet printing, dip coating, spin coating etc. Starting from
the forces involved during wetting, a separation between solid and liquid modifications was made. This study revealed that
if a good cleaning procedure of the substrate, whether or not combined with a targeted modification of the precursor is applied,
water-based solutions can be used without restriction towards their wetting behaviour leading to a sustainable technology
within the coating industry. Within this work, special attention is given to (1) fast determination of the substrate cleaning
procedure quality by the creation of wetting envelopes and (2) the use of a screening design of experiment to study the effects
of intrinsic solution factors, such as precursor formulation, influencing the coating behavior. All modification discussed

In this paper, the behaviour of the industrial applied Ti/Zr conversion coating (CC) pretreatment on rolled automotive aluminium samples (AA5182) is analysed. Due to its nanometre lateral and depth resolution, Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) is used to analyse the CC distribution at surface cathodic intermetallic particles. As a result of its high surface sensitivity, the AES technique is very susceptible to differences in the top contamination layer thickness. It is demonstrated that AES point measurements performed on aluminium model samples coated with 1.5 and 3 nm of Ti (oxide) layer cannot differentiate the two-layer thicknesses if a difference in the top contamination thickness is not taken into account. A data analysis methodology is introduced, based on the ratio of normalized peak areas (enrichment ratios), to eliminate the effect of the contamination layer thickness. The experimental validation of the methodology is performed on the model samples, demonstrating errors of 2% on the enrichment ratios on similar samples with different contamination layer thicknesses, while the conventional spectra quantification results in errors of 49%. The methodology is also theoretically substantiated within certain constraints. By the use of the AES methodology, an enriched Ti and Zr deposition is confirmed at the cathodic intermetallic particles at the surface of the industrial no-rinse CC sprayed automotive aluminium sheet samples. 相似文献

We report the fabrication of low-loss amorphous silicon photonic wires deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition. Single mode photonic wires were fabricated by 193 nm optical lithography and dry etching. We study theoretically the transport and kinetic processes underlying the operation of a biosensor (particularly the surface plasmon sensor "Biacore") used to study the surface binding kinetics of biomolecules in solution to immobilized receptors. Unlike previous studies, we concentrate mainly on the modeling of system-specific phenomena rather than on the influence of mass transport limitations on the intrinsic kinetic rate constants determined from binding data. In the first problem, the case of two-site binding where each receptor unit on the surface can accommodate two analyte molecules on two different sites is considered. One analyte molecule always binds first to a specific site. Subsequently, the second analyte molecule can bind to the adjacent unoccupied site. In the second problem, two different analytes compete for one binding site on the same surface receptor. Finally, the third problem considers the case of positive cooperativity among bound molecules in the hydrogel using a simple mean-field approach. The transport in both the flow channel and the hydrogel phases of the biosensor is taken into account in this case (with few exceptions, most previous studies assume a simpler model in which the hydrogel is treated as a planar surface with the receptors). We consider simultaneously diffusion and convection through the flow channel together with diffusion and cooperativity binding on the surface and in the hydrogel. In each case, typical results for the concentration contours of the free and bound molecules in the flow channel and hydrogel regions are presented together with the time-dependent association/dissociation curves and reaction rates. The application of analytical and semi-preparative columns in reversed-phase liquid chromatography-solid-phase extraction-nuclear magnetic resonance (HPLC-SPE-NMR) was compared. The work was aiming at separating a higher sample amount in a single run and in this way to reduce the necessary NMR measurement time of separated compounds. Several parameters for compound separation and trapping procedures were optimised: flow rate of HPLC and make-up water pumps, choice of stationary phase cartridges and drying time. The separation and loadability of nine model compounds on analytical and semi-preparative columns was determined, as well as the focussing capacity of SH-type SPE cartridges. It was found that a semi-preparative column--or multiple peak trapping on analytical columns--gave better results than a standard 4.6mm analytical column for non-polar compounds (e.g. flavonoid aglycones, sesquiterpene lactones, non-polar terpenes, logP>2), but for polar compounds (logP<-2) did not offer any advantage over an analytical column, or was even disadvantageous.
