Calculations for the relative width (Δω/ω0) as a function of refractive index and relative radius of the photonic band gap for the fcc closed packed 3-D dielectric microstructure are reported and comparison of experimental observations and theoretical predictions are given. <正>The square soft-edge diaphragm with round angle is designed by Matlab,and is sent to a liquid crystal spatial light modulator by the computer.In order to obtain precompensation for the following laser system, local diaphragm transmission can be adjusted by feedback signals of surface-channel charge-coupled device (SCCD).This method can reduce the diffraction effect and realize no modulation,high stability,high homogeneity,and large scale laser beam.Several parameters of soft-edge diaphragms which affect the laser beam quality are studied systematically,and the optimized values are obtained.The method can avoid the serious modulation of hard edges and provide soft-edge diaphragms of different shapes in a fast and convenient way for the large scale laser beam system.  相似文献

The use of a central trapping ring electrode for Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FTICR) mass spectrometry is demonstrated. Ions are trapped with an oppositely biased static potential superimposed on both the excite and detect electrodes and maintained throughout the experiment, including the application of a dipolar rf excite waveform and the image current ion detection event. The use of a central trapping electrode for FTICR coupled with an open cell design retains the advantages of high ion throughput and gas conductance, while simplifying the electrode geometry and reducing the overall dimensions of the cell. This allows the central trapping electrode to be of utility in volume-limited vacuum chambers including FTICR instrument miniaturization. Presented here are the preliminary experimental results using the central trapping electrode as an FTICR cell in which the excitation and detection electrodes also create a trapping depression to constrain the z-axis motion of the ions. The cell overcomes the principle limitation of an earlier single trapping electrode design by producing a 91% effective potential well depth compared to 19% for the single trapping electrode and 33% for standard open cells. This allows the central trapping electrode configuration to achieve an order of magnitude improvement in ion capacity compared to more conventional open cell designs.  相似文献

Presented is the application and evaluation of a magnetic field focusing central trapping electrode ion accumulation cell for a capillary liquid chromatography electrospray Fourier transform ion cyclotron (LC-ESI/FTICR) mass spectrometer. The ESI source and accumulation cell are located within the magnetic field to confine the radial motion of the ions, eliminating the need for elaborate focusing optics to transport the ions to the low-pressure analyzer cell for analysis. The central trapping electrode accumulation cell increases sensitivity by providing the necessary potential well in a confined volume to capture ions currently lost during the detection event of LC/FTICR experiments. With this electrode geometry the time needed to gate the ions into the analyzer cell is reduced and pump down delays are minimized. The decreased scan time improves LC resolution and increases the number of mass spectral scans per eluted component while maintaining appropriate base pressures for high performance ESI/FTICR. Results achieved with the central trapping electrode accumulation cell include an effective duty cycle increase from 10% to 40%, a S/N increase by a factor of 30, and a mass resolution increase of 80%.  相似文献

THE SITE-SPECIFIC INHIBITION OF Bgl I CLEAVAGE BY PSORALEN PHOTOADDUCTS   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Abstract— We have investigated the site specificity of furocoumarins by using fluorescent densitometry to examine the frequency of cleavage by the restriction enzyme Bgl I. This enzyme has an 11 base pair (bp) recognition sequence which varies slightly from site to site because it includes a 5 base pair neutral region. Cleavage at all three Bgl I recognition sites in pBR322 was inhibited by the photoaddition of the psoralen derivative 4'-hydroxymethyl-4,5',8-trimethylpsoralen (HMT) which forms both crosslinks and monoad-ducts in a dose-dependent manner. One site, which contains two thymidines in a crosslinkable configuration, was observed to be markedly more sensitive to HMT photoadducts. In contrast Bgl I cleavage at all sites was relatively resistant to the derivative 5-methylisopsoralen (5-MIP), which forms only monoadducts. When HMT-reacted DNA was generated with widely different ratios of monoad-ducts to crosslinks (3% and 40% crosslinks), essentially the same level and pattern of inhibition was observed in both cases. Taken together, the data imply that differences in inhibition seen at the three cutting sites of Bgl I with HMT are attributable to DNA sequence and the role it plays in adduct positioning.  相似文献

In this investigation, capillary electrochromatography (CEC) with a novel stationary phase proved useful for the separation of neutral and acidic glycosphingolipids (GSLs). Four different gangliosides, namely G(M1a), G(D1a), G(D1b) and G(T1b), served as the acidic GSLs model solutes. The following four GSLs: galactosylceramide (GalCer), lactosylceramide (LacCer), globotriaosylceramide (Gb3Cer) and globotetraosylceramide (Gb4Cer) served as the typical neutral GSLs. The stationary phase, octadecyl sulfonated silica (ODSS), consisted of octadecyl functions bonded to a negatively charged layer containing sulfonic acid groups. Porous and non-porous ODSS stationary phases were examined. The retention behavior of the acidic and neutral GSLs was examined over a wide range of elution conditions, including the nature of the electrolyte and organic modifier and the pH of the mobile phase. The porous ODSS stationary phase yielded the separation of the four different gangliosides using a hydro-organic eluent of moderate eluent strength whereas the non-porous ODSS stationary phase permitted the separation of the four neutral GSLs with a mobile phase of relatively high eluent strength.  相似文献

The structure of the multilayer assemblies of yttrium iron garnet nanoparticles (YIG) with polyelectrolytes was investigated with the emphasis on the control of the particle density in the adsorption layers. It was found that the growth of YIG films prepared by the layer-by-layer assembly can occur via two deposition modes: (1) sequential adsorption of densely packed adsorption layers (normal growth mode) and (2) in-plane growth of isolated particle domains (lateral expansion mode). Importantly, the dependence of the optical density on the number of deposition cycles remains linear in both cases. Microscopy results indicate that the origin of the lateral growth is in the interplay of particle/particle and particle/polyelectrolyte interactions rather than in a substrate effect. The lateral expansion mode is a general attribute of the layer-by-layer deposition and can be observed for various aqueous colloids. For the preparation of sophisticated multifunctional assemblies on nanoparticles, the film growth via domain expansion should be avoided, and therefore, one must be able to control the growth pattern. The switch from lateral to normal growth mode can be effected by grafting charged organic groups to YIG nanoparticles. Hydrophobic interactions between the hydrocarbon groups of the modified YIG and polyelectrolyte significantly increase the attractive component of the particle/polyelectrolyte and particle/particle interactions. The films from modified YIG display densely packed nanoparticle layers with a greatly reduced number of defects.  相似文献

We demonstrate an inverse light-scattering analysis procedure based on using the T-matrix method as a light-scattering model. We measure light scattered by in vitro cell monolayers using angle-resolved low-coherence interferometry (a/LCI) and compare the data to predictions of the T-matrix theory. The comparison yields measurements of the equal volume diameter and aspect ratio of the spheroid cell nuclei with accuracy comparable to quantitative image analysis of fixed and stained samples. These improvements represent a significant upgrade for the a/LCI technique, expanding both the range of tissue in which it is applicable and potentially increasing its value as a diagnostic tool.  相似文献
