The preparation and structure determinations of the crystalline salts [3,3'-H(2)bipy][PtCl(4)] (2), [2,2'-H(2)bipy][PtCl(4)] (3) and [1,4'-Hbipy][PtCl(4)] (4) and [3,3'-H(2)bipy][SbCl(5)] (6) and [1,4'-Hbipy][SbCl(5)] (8) are reported. In addition a redetermination of the structure of the metastable salt [4,4'-H(2)bipy][SbCl(5)] (5 b) in the corrected space group Pbcm is described. These structures are compared to those of the known salt [4,4'-H(2)bipy][PtCl(4)] (1), the stable triclinic form of [4,4'-H(2)bipy][SbCl(5)] (5 a) and [2,2'-H(2)bipy][SbCl(5)] (7). In the case of the salts of the rigid [PtCl(4)](2-) ion, structures 2, 3 and 4 are essentially isostructural despite the differing hydrogen-bonding capability of the cations. Similarly, among the salts of [SbCl(5)](2-) ions, structures 7 and 8 are essentially isostructural. Structure 6 differs from these in having a differing pattern of aggregation of the [SbCl(5)](2-) ions to form polymeric rather than tetrameric units. It is evident that local hydrogen-bonding interactions, although significant, are not the only or even the decisive influence on the crystal structures formed by these salts. These observations are not in good accord with the heuristic "sticky tecton" or supramolecular synthon models for synthetic crystallography or crystal engineering.  相似文献

The d2/d3 redox pair [WF2(PhC identical to CPh)Tp']z [z = +1 or 0, Tp' = hydrotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate] is the missing link in a 'redox family tree' relating the d6 tricarbonyls [M(CO)3L]- to the d2 trihalides [MX3L] (M = Mo or W, L = Cp or Tp') by a series of stepwise reactions involving sequential one-electron oxidation followed by ligand substitution.  相似文献

Reduction of [M(CO)2(eta-RC[triple bond]CR')Tp']X {Tp' = hydrotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate, M = Mo, X = [PF6]-, R = R' = Ph, C6H4OMe-4 or Me; R = Ph, R' = H; M = W, X = [BF4]-, R = R' = Ph or Me; R = Ph, R' = H} with [Co(eta-C5H5)2] gave paramagnetic [M(CO)2(eta-RC[triple bond]CR')Tp'], characterised by IR and ESR spectroscopy. X-Ray structural studies on the redox pair [Mo(CO)2(eta-PhC[triple bond]CPh)Tp'] and [Mo(CO)2(eta-PhC[triple bond]CPh)Tp'][PF6] showed that oxidation is accompanied by a lengthening of the C[triple bond]C bond and shortening of the Mo-C(alkyne) bonds, consistent with removal of an electron from an orbital antibonding with respect to the Mo-alkyne bond, and with conversion of the alkyne from a three- to a four-electron donor. Reduction of [Mo(CO)(NCMe)(eta-MeC[triple bond]CMe)Tp'][PF6] with [Co(eta-C5H5)2] in CH2Cl2 gives [MoCl(CO)(eta-MeC[triple bond]CMe)Tp'], via nitrile substitution in [Mo(CO)(NCMe)(eta-MeC[triple bond]CMe)Tp'], whereas a similar reaction with [M(CO){P(OCH2)3CEt}(eta-MeC[triple bond]CMe)Tp']+ (M = Mo or W) gives the phosphite-containing radicals [M(CO){P(OCH2)3CEt}(eta-MeC[triple bond]CMe)Tp']. ESR spectroscopic studies and DFT calculations on [M(CO)L(eta-MeC[triple bond]CMe)Tp'] {M = Mo or W, L = CO or P(OCH2)3CEt} show the SOMO of the neutral d5 species (the LUMO of the d4 cations) to be largely d(yz) in character although much more delocalised in the W complexes. Non-coincidence effects between the g and metal hyperfine matrices in the Mo spectra indicate hybridisation of the metal d-orbitals in the SOMO, consistent with a rotation of the coordinated alkyne about the M-C2 axis.  相似文献

The new unsymmetrical, optically active ligands 1,2-C(2)H(4)(PPh(2))(2'R,5'R-2',5'-dimethylphospholanyl) (L(a)) and 1,3-C(3)H(6)(PPh(2))(2'R,5'R-2',5'-dimethylphospholanyl) (L(b)) form complexes of the type [Rh(L)(cyclooctadiene)][BF(4)] where L = L(a) (1a) or L(b) (1b), [PtCl(2)(L)] where L = L(a) (2a) or L(b) (2b) and [PdCl(2)(L)] where L = L(a) (3a) or Lb (3b). The crystal structures of 2a and 2b show the chelate ligand backbones adopt delta-twist and flattened chair conformations respectively. Asymmetric hydrogenation of enamides and dehydroaminoesters using 1a and 1b as catalysts show that the ethylene-backboned diphosphine L(a) gives a more efficient catalyst in terms of asymmetric induction than the propylene-backboned analogue L(b). The greatest enantioselectivities were obtained with 1a and enamide substrates with ees up to 91%. Substrate-induced conformational changes in the Rh-diphosphine chelates are proposed to explain some of the ees observed in the hydrogenation of enamides.  相似文献

A series of crystalline salts based on the [M(dto)2]2- (dto = 1,2-dithiooxalate, M = Ni, Pt, Cu) dianion with hydrogen-bond donor cations have been synthesised following a molecular tectonics approach. The chelating M(dto)[dot dot dot]HN supramolecular synthon has been exploited in a systematic study of its robustness. The effects of competition between hydrogen-bond acceptors, of the shape and functionality of the cations and of varying the metal in the anion are discussed. The preparation and structural characterisation of the new crystalline phases [4,4'-H(2)bipy][Pt(dto)2] (2), [HNC5H4CO2H-4]2[Pt(dto)2] (5), [HNC5H4CO2H-3]2[Pt(dto)2] (6), [HNC5H4CH2CO2H-4]2[Ni(dto)2] (7), [HNC(5)H(4)CH(2)CO(2)H-3]2[Ni(dto)2] (8), [HNC5H4CONH2-4]2[Ni(dto)2] (9), [HNC5H4CHNOH-4]2[Ni(dto)2] (10), [HNC5H4CHNOH-3]2[Ni(dto)2] (11), [4,4'-H2bipip][Ni(dto)2] (12), [H2NC5H9CO2H-4]2[Pt(dto)2] (12), [H2NC5H9CO2H-4]2[Cu(dto)2] (14), [H2NC5H9CO2H-3]2[Ni(dto)2][H2O]2 (15), [H2NC5H9CO2H-3]2[Pt(dto)2][H2O]2 (16), [H2NC5H9CO2H-3]2[Cu(dto)2][H2O]2 (17), [H(Me)NC5H9CO2H-4]2[Ni(dto)2][H2O]2 (18) is reported. The charge-assisted NH[dot dot dot]dto synthon is formed in each of compounds 1-20, and is apparently much more robust than the conventional synthons used (such as the carboxylic acid dimer), which have a much lower rate of occurrence. The NH[dot dot dot]dto synthon may be generalised to 3- and 4-pyridinium species and 3- and 4-piperidinium derivatives. In the latter cases branching of the hydrogen-bond networks through the NH2 groups arises. The robustness of the NH...dto synthon allows structures of the form [NH cation]2[M(dto)2] to be regarded as being formed by the packing of neutral supermolecules. Cases of isomorphism (as in 16-18) and latent polymorphism (e.g. in 4 and 6) are noted.  相似文献

The cage phosphines 1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-6-phenyl-2,4,8-trioxa-6-phosphaadamantane (1a) and 1,3,5,7-tetraethyl-6-phenyl-2,4,8,trioxa-6-phosphaadamantane (1b) have been made by the acid catalysed addition of PhPH(2) to the appropriate beta-diketones; the acid used (HCl, H(3)PO(4) or H(2)SO(4)) and its concentration affect the rate and selectivity of these condensation reactions. Phosphines 1a and 1b react with [PdCl(2)(NCPh)(2)] to form complexes trans-[PdCl(2)(1a)(2)](2a) and trans-[PdCl(2)(1b)(2)](2b) as mixtures of rac and meso diastereoisomers. The platinum(II) chemistry is more complicated and when 1a or 1b is added to [PtCl(2)(cod)], equilibrium mixtures of trans-[PtCl(2)L(2)] and [Pt(2)Cl(4)L(2)](L = or ) are formed in CH(2)Cl(2) solution. Meso/rac mixtures of trans-[MCl(CO)(1a)(2)] M = Ir (6a) or Rh (7a) are formed upon treatment of MCl(3).nH(2)O with an excess of 1a and the anionic cobalt complex [NHEt(3)][CoCl(3)(1a)](9) was isolated from the product formed by CoCl(2).6H(2)O and 1a. The nu(CO) values from the IR spectra of 6a and 7a suggest that 1a resembles a phosphonite in its bonding to Rh and Ir. Crystal structures of meso-2a, meso-2b, rac-6a and 9 are reported and in each case a small intracage C-P-C angle of ca. 94 degrees is observed; this may partly explain the bonding characteristics of ligands 1a and 1b. The cone angles for 1a and 1b are similar and large (ca. 200 degrees). Rhodium complexes of ligands 1a and 1b are hydroformylation catalysts with similarly high activity to catalysts derived from phosphites. The catalysts derived from 1a and 1b gave unusually low linear selectivity in the hydroformylation of hexenes. This feature has been further exploited in quaternary-selective hydroformylations of unsaturated esters; catalysts derived from 1a give better yields and regioselectivities than any previously reported catalyst.  相似文献

The unsymmetrical, optically active ligands 1,2-C(6)H(4)(PPh(2))((R,R)-2,5-dimethylphospholanyl) and the new 1,1'-Fe(C(5)H(4))(2)(PPh(2))((R,R)-2,5-dimethylphospholanyl) form complexes of the type [PtCl(2)(diphos)] and [Rh(diphos)(diene)][BF(4)]. The crystal structure of reveals that only one quadrant is blocked. Asymmetric hydrogenation of acrylic esters and enamides using and as catalysts show that the phenylene-backboned diphosphine gives a more efficient catalyst in terms of asymmetric induction than the more flexible ferrocene-backboned diphosphine. The best results, which were obtained with and enamide substrates, exceeded those obtained with Duphos catalysts. The rate of hydrogenation of the enamides with was 10 times faster than with [Rh(Duphos)(diene)][BF(4)]. A quadrant diagram can be used to predict the configuration of the major product, provided it is assumed to be derived from the less sterically congested intermediate.  相似文献
