A palladium(II)‐catalyzed enantioselective α‐alkylation of azlactones with nonconjugated alkenes is described. The reaction employs a chiral BINOL‐derived phosphoric acid as the source of stereoinduction, and a cleavable bidentate directing group appended to the alkene to control the regioselectivity and stabilize the nucleopalladated alkylpalladium(II) intermediate in the catalytic cycle. A wide range of azlactones were found to be compatible under the optimal reaction conditions to afford products bearing α,α‐disubstituted α‐amino‐acid derivatives with high yields and high enantioselectivity. 相似文献

A fast and simple fractionation method was optimized to selectively separate oxy-PAH from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and n-alkanes contained in solvent extracted organic matter (SEOM) from atmospheric particles with an aerodynamic diameter ≤2.5 μm (PM2.5). Samples were collected in Mexico City. Multivariate parameters were adjusted on a standard mixture, and on SEOM spiked with pure standard mixture solutions: type and amount of phase; packing densities; type, proportion and amount of solvents, and elution flow rates were tested under several elution schemes. Cyanopropylsilyl-bonded phase material was the selected stationary phase. The separation method was applied to real samples of SEOM (2.6, 5.6 and 8.5 mg) spiked with n-alkanes, PAH and oxy-PAH. n-Alkanes overlapped with PAH due to an excess of n-alkanes in real samples overloading the capacity of the stationary phase. Oxy-PAH was separated totally from n-alkanes and PAH. Mean recoveries ± confidence intervals (95%) for n-alkanes ranged from 53 ± 17% (n-tetracontane) to 101 ± 11% (n-hexacosane); for PAH from 58 ± 5% (phenanthrene) to 85 ± 9% (benzo[k]fluoranthene); and for oxy-PAH from 68 ± 12% (9,10-dihydrobenzo[a]pyren-7(8H)one) to 108 ± 9% (1,2-benzopyrone). This method is an efficient fractionation procedure to be applied to oxy-PAH, PAH and n-alkanes in complex organic mixtures extracted from PM2.5. 相似文献

Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), which has received much interest in its use and further development for industrial applications, is a method that offers some advantages over conventional methods, especially for the palm oil industry. SC-CO? refers to supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) that uses carbon dioxide (CO?) as a solvent which is a nontoxic, inexpensive, nonflammable, and nonpolluting supercritical fluid solvent for the extraction of natural products. Almost 100% oil can be extracted and it is regarded as safe, with organic solvent-free extracts having superior organoleptic profiles. The palm oil industry is one of the major industries in Malaysia that provides a major contribution to the national income. Malaysia is the second largest palm oil and palm kernel oil producer in the World. This paper reviews advances in applications of supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO?) extraction of oils from natural sources, in particular palm oil, minor constituents in palm oil, producing fractionated, refined, bleached, and deodorized palm oil, palm kernel oil and purified fatty acid fractions commendable for downstream uses as in toiletries and confectionaries. 相似文献

The pronounced ability of water to form a hyperdense hydrogen (H)-bond network among itself is at the heart of its exceptional properties. Due to the unique H-bonding capability and amphoteric nature, water is not only a passive medium, but also behaves as an active participant in many chemical and biological reactions. Here, we reveal the catalytic role of a short water wire, composed of two (or three) water molecules, in model aqueous acid-base reactions synthesizing 7-hydroxyquinoline derivatives. Utilizing femtosecond-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, we tracked the trajectories of excited-state proton transfer and discovered that proton hopping along the water wire accomplishes the reaction more efficiently compared to the transfer occurring with bulk water clusters. Our finding suggests that the directionality of the proton movements along the charge-gradient H-bond network may be a key element for long-distance proton translocation in biological systems, as the H-bond networks wiring acidic and basic sites distal to each other can provide a shortcut for a proton in searching a global minimum on a complex energy landscape to its destination. 相似文献

The high rate of electron/hole pair recombination reduces the quantum yield of the processes with TiO(2) and represents its major drawback. Adding a co-adsorbent increases the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO(2). In order to hybridize the photocatalytic activity of TiO(2) with the adsorptivity of carbon nanotube, a composite of multi-walled carbon nanotubes and titanium dioxide (MWCNT/TiO(2)) has been synthesized. The composite was characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier transform infrared absorption spectroscopy (FTIR), and diffuse reflectance UV-vis spectroscopy. The catalytic activity of this composite material was investigated by application of the composite for the degradation of methyl orange. It was observed that the composite exhibits enhanced photocatalytic activity compared with TiO(2). The enhancement in photocatalytic performance of the MWCNT/TiO(2) composite is explained in terms of recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. In addition, MWCNT acts as a dispersing agent preventing TiO(2) from agglomerating activity during the catalytic process, providing a high catalytically active surface area. We report the synthesis of two [2]catenane‐containing struts that are composed of a tetracationic cyclophane (TC4+) encircling a 1,5‐dioxynaphthalene (DNP)‐based crown ether, which bears two terphenylene arms. The TC4+ rings comprise either 1) two bipyridinium (BIPY2+) units or 2) a BIPY2+ and a diazapyrenium (DAP2+) unit. These degenerate and nondegenerate catenanes were reacted in the presence of Cu(NO3)2?2.5 H2O to yield Cu‐paddlewheel‐based MOF‐1050 and MOF‐1051. The solid‐state structures of these MOFs reveal that the metal clusters serve to join the heptaphenylene struts into grid‐like 2D networks. These 2D sheets are then held together by infinite donor–acceptor stacks involving the [2]catenanes to produce interpenetrated 3D architectures. As a consequence of the planar chirality associated with both the DNP and hydroquinone (HQ) units present in the crown ether, each catenane can exist as four stereoisomers. In the case of the nondegenerate (bistable) catenane, the situation is further complicated by the presence of translational isomers. Upon crystallization, however, only two of the four possible stereoisomers—namely, the enantiomeric RR and SS forms—are observed in the crystals. An additional element of co‐conformational selectivity is present in MOF‐1051 as a consequence of the substitution of one of the BIPY2+ units by a DAP2+ unit: only the translational isomer in which the DAP2+ unit is encircled by the crown ether is observed. The overall topologies of MOF‐1050 and MOF‐1051, and the selective formation of stereoisomers and translational isomers during the kinetically driven crystallization, provide evidence that weak noncovalent bonding interactions play a significant role in the assembly of these extended (super)structures. 相似文献

Two new monodesmosidic cycloartane triterpene glycosides, depressosides E and F, and two new flavonol glycosides, depressonol A and B, were isolated from the butanol‐soluble part of the EtOH extract of Corchorus depressus L . The hindered rotor transitions of H(2) adsorbed in the chemically related and prototypical porous metal-organic frameworks IRMOF-1, IRMOF-8, IRMOF-11, and MOF-177 were studied by inelastic neutron scattering to gain information on the specifics of H(2) binding in this class of adsorbents. Remarkably sharp and complex spectra of these materials signify a diversity of well-defined binding sites. Similarities in the spectral features as a function of H(2) loading and correlations with recent crystallographic studies were used to assign transitions ranging in rotational barrier from <0.04 to 0.6 kcal/mol as corresponding to localized adsorption sites on the organic and inorganic components of these frameworks. We find that binding of H(2) at the inorganic cluster sites is affected by the nature of the organic link and is strongest in IRMOF-11 in accord with our adsorption isotherm data. The sites on the organic link have lower binding energies, but a much greater capacity for increases in H(2) loading, which demonstrates their importance for hydrogen uptake by these materials. 相似文献

Previous experimental work has shown that the spreading of a drop of aqueous anionic surfactant solution on a liquid film supported by a negatively charged solid substrate may give rise to a fingering instability (Afsar-Siddiqui, A. B.; Luckham P, F.; Matar, O. K. Langmuir 2003, 19, 703-708). However, upon deposition of a cationic surfactant on a similarly charged support, the surfactant will adsorb onto the solid-liquid interface rendering it hydrophobic. Water is then expelled from the hydrophobic regions, causing film rupture and dewetting. In this paper, experimental results are presented showing how the surfactant concentration and film thickness affect the dewetting behavior of aqueous dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide solutions. At low surfactant concentrations and large film thicknesses, the film ruptures at a point from which dewetting proceeds. At higher concentrations and smaller film thicknesses, the ruptured region is annular in shape and fluid moves away from this region. At still higher concentrations and smaller film thicknesses, the deposited surfactant forms a cap at the point of deposition that neither spreads nor retracts. This variation in dewetting mode is explained by considering the relative Marangoni and bulk diffusion time scales as well as the mode of assembly of the surfactant adsorbed on the solid surface. 相似文献
