Summary Ruthenium(III) complexes of types [Ru(L)3], [Ru(L)Cl(H2O)2], [Ru(L)Cl2]n, [Ru(L)Cl(H2O)]n(LH =Schiff bases derived from anthranilic acid and benzaldehyde, acetophenone, vanillin, cinnamaldehyde orm-hydroxyacetophenone; LH2=Schiff bases derived from anthranilic acid and salicylaldehyde oro-hydroxyacetophenone; LH=Schiff bases derived fromp-aminobenzoic acid and benzaldehyde, acetophenone, vanillin, cinnamaldehyde orm-hydroxyacetophenone; LH2=Schiff bases derived fromp-aminobenzoic acid and salicylaldehyde oro-hydroxyacetophenone) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, conductance, magnetic moment and spectral (electronic, i.r. and1H n.m.r.) data. The wavelengths of the principal electronic absorption peaks have been accounted for quantitatively in terms of crystal field theory and various parameters have been evaluated. On the basis of the electronic spectra, an octahedral geometry has been established for all these complexes except [Ru(L)Cl2]n. The complexes [Ru(L)Cl2]n are pentacoordinate and a trigonal-bipyramidal environment, D3h, is suggested for the ruthenium(III) ion. The thermal behaviour of these complexes has also been studied by t.g., d.t.g and d.s.c techniques. Heats of reaction for the decomposition steps were calculated from the d.s.c. curves. The antifungal and antiviral activities of the complexes with Schiff bases derived from anthranilic acid were also investigated.  相似文献

A series of neodymium(III) and samarium(III) complexes of type [Ln(L)Cl(H2O)3] have been synthesized with Schiff bases (LH2) derived from 3‐(phenyl/substituted phenyl)‐4‐amino‐5‐mercapto‐1,2,4‐triazoles and isatin. The structures of the complexes were established using elemental analysis, molar conductivities, magnetic moments, infrared, NMR (1H, 13C) and UV–visible spectra, X‐ray diffraction and mass spectrometry. The thermal behaviour of these compounds under non‐isothermal conditions was investigated using thermogravimetry and differential thermogravimetry. The intermediates obtained at the end of various thermal decomposition steps were identified from elemental analysis and infrared spectral studies. All the ligands and their complexes were also screened for their antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis and antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus and Colletotrichum capsici. Glutamine: fructose-6-phosphate amidotransferase (GFAT), also termed GFPT1 and GFAT1, catalyzes the first committed step of the hexosamine biosynthesis pathway in mammals and consequently plays an important role in type 2 diabetes. In the present study, a combination of pharmacophore modelling, homology modelling, and molecular docking analysis was performed to design new glutamine competitive inhibitors of human GFAT, and to investigate important interaction details of inhibitor molecules. A pharmacophore model of GFAT inhibitors was developed, subsequently validated, and utilized for the screening by the PHASE database to identify new molecules. Afterwards, homology modelling was performed to construct the glutamine-binding site of the GFAT protein. The modelled active site was utilized to dock the studied molecules to investigate important receptor-ligand interactions and to scrutinize database-screened molecules on the basis of essential interactions. This systematic in silico protocol helped us to identify new molecules that would be explored for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and its complications.  相似文献

Graphene oxide (GrO) prepared by the Hummers method was separated into three different fractions (GrO5000, GrO2000, and GrOres) on the basis of their dispersion stability in the water. Infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and elemental analyses revealed that GrO5000 possesses a high degree of oxygen functionalities including phenolic, carboxylic, and ?OSO2H groups, compared with the other fractions. The GrO5000 was found to be a highly efficient and reusable solid catalyst for the esterification of various carboxylic acids with a variety of alcohols to furnish corresponding esters in high to excellent yields. The catalytic activity of the GrO5000 was attributed to the ability of highly polar GrO5000 scaffold to adsorb/attract reactants, where the acid functionalities of GrO5000 facilitated the esterification process efficiently. The chemical and structural features of GrO5000 were discussed to understand the improved catalytic activity compared with GrO2000 and conventional solid acid catalysts. Abstract

A series of biologically active organophosphorus compounds have been synthesized by the reactions of O,O-diethylchlorophosphate with Schiff bases derived from 5-(phenyl/substituted phenyl)-2-hydrazino-1,3,4-oxadiazole and salicylaldehyde/2-hydroxyacetophenone. The compounds have been characterized on the basis of analyses and spectral (IR, 1H, 13C NMR) data. Fungicidal activities of these derivatives against Colletotrichum falcatum, Fusarium oxysporum, and Curvularia pallescence have been evaluated. All compounds showed moderate to significant antifungal activity.  相似文献

Oxidation of chromanones (1a-i) and 2-spiro-chromanones (j-m) using [hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo] benzene in refluxing acetonitrile as well as using ultrasound via dehydrogenation and 2,3-alkyl migration provides a convenient route for the synthesis of chromones (2a-i), tetrahydroxanthones (2j,k) and their higher homologues (21,m). A useful synthesis of 3-hydroxy-4-chromanone (6) is not currently available. Lead tetraacetate oxidation of 4-chromanone (4) yields the C(3) acetoxy derivative but this compound could not be deacetylated to 6.1 Recently Donnelly and Maloney reported2 that the Algar-Flynn-Oyamada reaction (H2O2/CH3OH/NaOH), which is commonly used for the conversion of o-hydroxychalcones (1) into 3-hydroxyflavanone (2) and 3-hydroxyflavones (3), does not yield 6 when applied to o-hydroxya-crylophenone 1 (R = H). The authors found that under less basic conditions using K2CO3 some 6 is formed but the major product is catechol. These observations clearly indicate the necessity of developing a method for making 6. The present note describes a staightforward way of preparing 3-hydroxy-4-chromanone (6) in good yield.  相似文献

Iron N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes have received a great deal of attention recently because of their growing potential as light sensitizers or photocatalysts. We present a sub‐ps X‐ray spectroscopy study of an FeIINHC complex that identifies and quantifies the states involved in the deactivation cascade after light absorption. Excited molecules relax back to the ground state along two pathways: After population of a hot 3MLCT state, from the initially excited 1MLCT state, 30 % of the molecules undergo ultrafast (150 fs) relaxation to the 3MC state, in competition with vibrational relaxation and cooling to the relaxed 3MLCT state. The relaxed 3MLCT state then decays much more slowly (7.6 ps) to the 3MC state. The 3MC state is rapidly (2.2 ps) deactivated to the ground state. The 5MC state is not involved in the deactivation pathway. The ultrafast partial deactivation of the 3MLCT state constitutes a loss channel from the point of view of photochemical efficiency and highlights the necessity to screen transition‐metal complexes for similar ultrafast decays to optimize photochemical performance.  相似文献

The conditions prevailing in the industrial applications in which enzymes are used are rather extreme, especially with respect to temperature and pH. Therefore, there is a continuing demand to improve the stability of enzymes and to meet the requirements set by specific applications. In this respect, thermostable enzymes have been proposed to be industrially relevant. In this review, α-amylase, a well-established representative of thermostable enzymes, providing an attractive model for the investigation of the structural basis of thermostability of proteins, has been discussed.  相似文献
