The nucleus 54Zn has been observed for the first time in an experiment at the SISSI/LISE3 facility of GANIL in the quasifragmentation of a 58Ni beam at 74.5 MeV/nucleon in a (nat)Ni target. The fragments were analyzed by means of the ALPHA-LISE3 separator and implanted in a silicon-strip detector where correlations in space and time between implantation and subsequent decay events allowed us to generate almost background free decay spectra for about 25 different nuclei at the same time. Eight 54Zn implantation events were observed. From the correlated decay events, the half-life of 54Zn is determined to be 3.2(+1.8)(-0.8) ms. Seven of the eight implantations are followed by two-proton emission with a decay energy of 1.48(2) MeV. The decay energy and the partial half-life are compared to model predictions and allow for a test of these two-proton decay models. 相似文献

We demonstrate the influence of the prepulses and ASE of ultrashort pulses interacting with a solid target by addressing the direct comparison of the harmonic spectra generated by reflection onto a solid target with and without the introduction of a plasma mirror system. In situ UV-vis absorbance measurements are used to investigate aggregation in Langmuir films from the azopolymer poly[4'-[[2-(methacryloyloxy)-ethyl]ethylamino]-2-chloro-4-nitroazobenzene] (HPDR13), a methacrylate derivative of DR13. The level of aggregation in a Langmuir film is intermediate between that of HPDR13 in chloroform solution and in a deposited LB film, as expected. Absorption is negligible at large areas per monomer, and starts to increase at a critical area that is the same as the one obtained in surface potential isotherms, being close to twice the area per monomer for a condensed film. This indicates that the onset for light absorption coincides with a critical packing density where monolayer structuring occurs and there is a sharp change in the effective dielectric constant of the film/water interface. Consistent with a featureless pressure-area isotherm for HPDR13, denoting no significant molecular rearrangement upon film compression, the UV-vis spectra did not vary with the surface pressure. The intensity of absorbed light increased, though, as the film was compressed owing to a higher density of chromophores. At higher subphase temperatures, larger flexibility of HPDR13 chains led to a more compact arrangement, causing the area per monomer to decrease and the absorbed light to increase-with approximately opposite trends. 相似文献

The present paper considers the propagation of sound in a cylindrical duct, with a wall section of finite length covered by an acoustic liner whose impedance is an arbitrary function of position. The cases of (i) uniform wall impedance, and wall impedance varying along the (ii) circumference or (iii) axis of the duct, or (iv) both simultaneously, are explicitly considered. It is shown that a nonuniform wall impedance couples modes with distinct azimuthal l or axial m wave numbers, so that their radial wave numbers k can no longer be calculated separately for each pair (m,l). The radial wave numbers are the roots of an infinite determinant, in the case when the wall impedance varies either (i) circumferentially or (ii) radially. If the wall impedance varies (iv) both radially and circumferentially, then the radial wave numbers are the roots of a doubly infinite determinant, i.e., an infinite determinant in which each term is an infinite determinant. The infinite determinants specifying the radial wave numbers are written explicitly for sound in a cylindrical nozzle with a uniform axial flow, in which case the radial eigenfunctions are Bessel functions; the method of calculation of the radial wave numbers applies equally well to a cylindrical nozzle with shear flow and/or swirling flows, with the Bessel functions replaced by other eigenfunctions. The radial wave numbers are calculated by truncation of the infinite determinants, for several values of the aspect ratio, defined as the ratio of length to diameter. It is shown that a nonuniform wall impedance will give rise to additional modes compared with a uniform wall impedance. The radial wave numbers specify the eigenfrequencies for the acoustic modes in the duct; the imaginary parts of the eigenfrequencies specify the decay of the sound field with time, and thus the effectiveness of the acoustic liner. 相似文献

We report what is believed to be the first direct measurement of the grating phase-shift evolution during white-light illumination for the development of a fixed grating in an Fe-doped lithium niobate crystal. Stabilized holographic recording is shown to be essential for such measurements. Experimental data are in good agreement with theory and allow computation of the relevant material parameters for the sample under analysis. The results are of the utmost relevance for understanding the advantageous behavior of oxidized samples in hologram fixing. 相似文献

The tridentate Schiff base [(2-(imidazol-4-yl)ethyl)(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)methyl)imine (HISMIMI) and its reduced form HISMIMA were synthesized and characterized, as well their mononuclear cis-dihalo copper(II) complexes 1 and 2, respectively. In addition, the dinuclear [CuII(mu-OH)2CuII](2+) complexes (3) and (4) obtained from complexes 1 and 2, respectively, were also isolated and characterized by several physicochemical techniques, including magnetochemistry, electrochemistry, and EPR and UV-vis spectroscopies. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 were determined by X-ray crystallography and revealed two neutral complexes with their tridentate chelate ligands meridionally coordinated. Completing the coordination spheres of the square-pyramidal structures, a chloride ion occupies the apical position and another is bonded in the basal plane. In addition, complexes 1 and 2 were investigated by infrared, electronic, and EPR spectroscopies, cyclic voltammetry, and potentiometric equilibrium studies. The hydrolytic activity on phosphate diester cleavage of 1 and 2 was investigated utilizing 2,4-BDNPP as substrate. These experiments were carried out at 50 degrees C, and the data treatment was based on the Michaelis-Menten approach, giving the following kinetic parameters (complex 1/complex 2): vmax (mol L(-1) s(-1))=16.4x10(-9)/7.02x10(-9); KM (mol L(-1))=17.3x10(-3)/3.03x10(-3); kcat (s(-1))=3.28x10(-4)/1.40x10(-4). Complex 1 effectively promoted the hydrolytic cleavage of double-strand plasmid DNA under anaerobic and aerobic conditions, with a rate constant of 0.28 h(-1) for the decrease of form I, which represents about a 10(7) rate increase compared with the estimated uncatalyzed rate of hydrolysis. 相似文献
