The results of extended comparative investigation of nickel(II) Schiff base complexes (containing various auxiliary chiral moieties) commonly used as a methodological platform for the asymmetric synthesis of tailor-made α-amino acids are provided. The following issues are addressed: 1) redox activity (determining the possibility for electrochemically induced reactions); 2) quantitative estimation of the reactivity of deprotonated complexes towards electrophiles; and 3) quantum-chemical estimation of noncovalent interactions in the metal coordination environment (which shed light on the origin of the stereochemical outcome observed for different stereoinductors). Possible mechanisms that determine the relationship between the stereochemical configuration of a molecule and its electronic structure are discussed. The DFT-calculated HOMO–LUMO energies and localization, as well as relative energies for the (S)- and (R)-alanine derivatives, that determine the stereoinduction efficiency in thermodynamically controlled reactions in nickel(II) coordination are provided. The computational data are supported by experimental results on the monobenzylation of glycine derivatives.  相似文献

The effects of pressure on the crystal structure of simple (or sp-) elements are analysed in terms of changes in coordination number, packing density, and interatomic distances, and general rules are established. In the polyvalent elements from groups 14–17, the covalently bonded structures tend to transform to metallic phases with a gradual increase in coordination number and packing density, a behaviour normally expected under pressure. Group 1 and 2 metallic elements, however, show a reverse trend towards structures with low packing density due to intricate changes in their electronic structure. Complex crystal structures such as host–guest and incommensurately modulated structures found in these elements are given special attention in this review in an attempt to determine their role in the observed phase-transition sequences.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviour of 13 chalcone analogues was systematically studied by means of cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry at a glassy carbon (GC), gold and platinum working electrodes using two different supporting electrolyte/solvent combinations. It was found that chalcone analogues can be easily oxidized at both GC and gold working electrodes, but not at a platinum electrode. Principal component analysis was further employed to reveal similarities/dissimilarities between oxidation potentials, chronoamperometric signals and ability of the compounds to scavenge the reactive oxygen species H2O2. The study reveals the inverse proportional relationship between the scavenging ability of H2O2, expressed as IC50, and chronoamperometric signal at 800 mV using gold as working electrode. We define GP-nuclear groups as topological Abelian groups for which the groups of summable and absolutely summable sequences are the same algebraically and topologically. It is shown that in the metrizable case only the algebraic coincidence of the mentioned groups is needed for GP-nuclearity. Some permanence properties of the class of GP-nuclear groups are obtained. Our final result asserts that nuclear groups in the sense of Banaszczyk are GP-nuclear. The validity of the converse assertion remains open.  相似文献

We show that an isoparametric submanifold of a complex hyperbolic plane, according to the definition of Heintze, Liu and Olmos’, is an open part of a principal orbit of a polar action. We also show that there exists a non-isoparametric submanifold of the complex hyperbolic plane that is isoparametric according to the definition of Terng’s. Finally, we classify Terng-isoparametric submanifolds of two-dimensional complex space forms.  相似文献

The method of random sampling was introduced for the first time in the nutation nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectroscopy where the nutation spectra show characteristic singularities in the form of shoulders. The analytic formulae for complex two-dimensional (2-D) nutation NQR spectra (I = 3/2) were obtained and the condition for resolving the spectral singularities for small values of an asymmetry parameter η was determined. Our results show that the method of random sampling of a nutation interferogram allows significant reduction of time required to perform a 2-D nutation experiment and does not worsen the spectral resolution.  相似文献

Application of a potassium ion sensor based on an ion sensitive field effect transistor (ISFET) for ion control of a dialysis solution in an artificial kidney and in blood plasma of patients treated by hemodialysis is presented. Sensors and their long-term stability were characterised in constant contact with test solutions. Test results are compared to those obtained with conventional ion-selective electrodes and commercial blood ion analyser. Tested ISFET sensors showed high reliability in potassium ion measurements in the physiologically significant concentration range which, along with low cost of their production, makes them promising for cited application.  相似文献

Sandwich-type lanthanide complexes with macrocyclic ligand cucurbit[6]uril (C 36H 36N 24O 12, CB[6]) were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions from aqueous solutions of lanthanide(III) bromides, CB[6], and 4-cyanopyridine. According to X-ray analysis (Ln = La, Pr, Dy, Ho, Er, and Yb), the compounds with different structural types of lanthanide cores have a common fragment where the tetranuclear hydroxo complex is sandwiched between two macrocycles {(IN@CB[6])Ln 4(mu 3-OH) 4(IN@CB[6])} (6+) (IN = isonicotinate). The photoluminescence (for Ln = Eu) and Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectra (for Ln = Pr, Dy, and Er) were studied. The compounds are used for the first time as precursors for the synthesis of lanthanide-silver heterometallic coordination polymers. The chainlike crystal structure of polymers (Ln = La, Pr, and Dy) is constituted by the sandwich complexes linked via the coordination of IN nitrogen atoms to the silver atoms.  相似文献
