High energy resolution KL23L23 Auger spectra of polycrystalline Cu and Ni were measured using photon energies up to about 50 eV above the K-absorption edge and down to 5 eV (Cu KLL) and 4 eV (Ni KLL) below threshold. The spectra show strong satellite structures varying considerably as a function of the photon energy. In the sub-threshold region the linear dispersion of the diagram line energy positions and a distortion of the line shape as a function of photon energy, attributable to the Auger resonant Raman process, is clearly observed, indicating the one-step nature of the Auger emission. These changes in the resonant spectra are interpreted using a simple model based on resonant scattering theory in combination with partial density of states obtained from cluster molecular orbital (DV-Xα) calculations. 相似文献

We present a qualitative analysis of a generic model structure that can simulate the bursting and spiking dynamics of many
biological cells. Four different scenarios for the emergence of bursting are described. In this connection a number of theorems
are stated concerning the relation between the phase portraits of the fast subsystem and the global behavior of the full model.
It is emphasized that the onset of bursting involves the formation of a homoclinic orbit that travels along the route of the
bursting oscillations and, hence, cannot be explained in terms of bifurcations in the fast subsystem. In one of the scenarios,
the bursting oscillations arise in a homoclinic bifurcation in which the one-dimensional (1D) stable manifold of a saddle
point becomes attracting to its whole 2D unstable manifold. This type of homoclinic bifurcation, and the complex behavior
that it can produce, have not previously been examined in detail. We derive a 2D flow-defined map for this situation and show
how the map transforms a disk-shaped cross-section of the flow into an annulus. Preliminary investigations of the stable dynamics
of this map show that it produces an interesting cascade of alternating pitchfork and boundary collision bifurcations.

Improvement in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and/or penetration depth can be achieved in medical ultrasound by using long coded waveforms, in a similar manner as in radars or sonars. However, the time-bandwidth product (TB) improvement, and thereby SNR improvement is considerably lower in medical ultrasound, due to the lower available bandwidth. There is still space for about 20 dB improvement in the SNR, which will yield a penetration depth up to 20 cm at 5 MHz [M. O'Donnell, IEEE Trans. Ultrason. Ferroelectr. Freq. Contr., 39(3) (1992) 341]. The limited TB additionally yields unacceptably high range sidelobes. However, the frequency weighting from the ultrasonic transducer's bandwidth, although suboptimal, can be beneficial in sidelobe reduction. The purpose of this study is an experimental evaluation of the above considerations in a coded excitation ultrasound system. A coded excitation system based on a modified commercial scanner is presented. A predistorted FM signal is proposed in order to keep the resulting range sidelobes at acceptably low levels. The effect of the transducer is taken into account in the design of the compression filter. Intensity levels have been considered and simulations on the expected improvement in SNR are also presented. Images of a wire phantom and clinical images have been taken with the coded system. The images show a significant improvement in penetration depth and they preserve both axial resolution and contrast. 相似文献

For the fast characteristics of mixtures of Aluminium, Gallium and Indium the fluorimetric evaluation in the form of complexes
with 8-Hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid is described at selected pH. The highly collinear correlated fluorescent spectra
and their first derivation were evaluated under various experimental conditions with the Multiple Linear Regression (MLR),
Partial Least Squares (PLS) methods and Kalman filtering. When comparing the results, the PLS gives the least relative prediction
errors under optimal conditions, 5.6–15.9% for the concentration range of Al 0.025–0.2 μg cm−3, Ga 0.1–0.8 μg cm−3 and In 0.1–0.8 μg cm−3 in the mixture. 相似文献

We use the hydrodynamic formulation of Scale Relativity Theory to analyze the TDGL equation. As a result, London equations come naturally from the system, when equating to zero the real velocity, the imaginary one turns real, the superconducting fluid act as a subquantum medium energy accumulator, the vector potential, the real and the imaginary velocity are all written in terms of the elliptic function. When solving the resulted system by means of WKBJ method, we get tunneling and quantization. In other words, scale transformation laws produce, on the motion equation of particles governed by the TDGL equation, under some peculiar assumptions, effects which are analogous to those of a “macroscopic quantum mechanics”. 相似文献

Highly excited compound nuclei of74Kr have been formed by bombardment of58Ni with 70 MeV16O ions. The spectra of protons and -particles resulting from the decay of the compound nucleus (and several daughter nuclei) have been recorded at laboratory angles from 30° to 155°. The CM differential cross sections corresponding to definite energies for the particles emitted were calculated from the data. The charged particle spectra and the angular distributions show that evaporation processes are dominant. Proton states in theN = 86 nuclei147Pm and149Eu populated in the (3He,d), (α,t) and (t, α) reactions
The (3He,d) and (α, t) reactions on targets of146Nd and148Sm have been studied, using beams of 24 MeV3He and 27 MeV4He from the McMaster University tandem van de Graaff accelerator. Also the (t, α) reaction on a target of148Sm has been studied, using 17 MeV tritons from the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory tandem accelerator. The reaction products were analyzed with magnetic spectrographs. Information on thel-values was obtained from (3He,d) angular distributions and from ratios of (α,t) and (3He,d) cross sections. In each nucleus a severe fragmentation of the shell-model strength is found. In particular a total of 13(7)l=2 transitions and 6(6)l=0 transitions have been identified in147Pm(149Eu). The results are analyzed in terms of the spherical shell model, which accounts fairly well for the summed spectroscopic strengths. However, with the existence of the (t, α) data a more detailed investigation of the emptiness of individual levels observed in147Pm gives some indication that a deformed scheme might be more successful in describing these nuclei. 相似文献
