Novel Cu(II), Fe(III) and Mn(III) salen‐type metal complexes from (1R,3S)‐N,N′‐bis[salicylidene]‐1,3‐diamino‐1,2,2‐trimethylcyclopentane were synthesized and screened for their in vitro cytotoxic activity against three human cancer cell lines: melanoma, colorectal and breast. In vitro experiments carried out with the three metal complexes show that the copper complex exhibits the highest cytotoxic activity towards all cell lines studied, presenting IC50 values of 3.32–6.71 μM. A significant improvement in the anti‐proliferative effect, by 20‐fold, is observed with this complex when compared with conventional chemotherapy. The relationship between structure, redox characteristics and biological activity in human cancer cell lines was evaluated for the most efficient Cu(II) complex and associated with theoretical calculations. We report the complete 13C NMR characterization of a series of ethylene–propylene–1‐hexene terpolymers obtained with the metallocenic system rac‐ethylene bis‐indenyl zirconium dichloride, with different comonomer ratios. The geometric non-linear analysis of space frames with definition of the local axes through rotations similar to Euler angles, presents difficulties when the rotations reach 90° in the fixed local axes. To surmount these difficulties this work presents a new technique using a system coined quasi-fixed local axes. In this technique, the direction cosines of these axes of the actual increment of loading are defined through the direction cosines of the moving local axes of the last iteration of the previous increment and of the quasi-fixed local axes of the previous increment (or fixed, in case of the first increment). The technique of definition of the quasi-fixed local axes is used with updated Lagrangian reference. The numerical examples presented herein show the great numerical stability of the technique.  相似文献

We report on several amorphous compounds based on different metal oxianions with intense photoluminescence at room temperature. These compounds were synthesised by a soft chemical process and deposited on Si (100) by a spin-coating technique. To select these different metal oxianions, a classic concept based on a metal oxide network former is used. We describe a minimum set of requirements to obtain an amorphous metal oxide with photoluminescence emission at room temperature. In this work we perform a study of 250 μm thick flexible electro-optical PDLC type cells made from a biocompatible cellulose derivative film and several conductive substrates. The deposition of an ITO layer by reactive thermal evaporation on a polymeric substrate was referred to in the literature very recently and this type of coated substrate was used in the present work. In order to consider the influence of the substrates on the electro-optical behaviour of the cells, five cells were made using different substrates (three flexible polymers and two glass for comparison). Three of the substrates were coated under the same conditions, and the other two were commercially available substrates.  相似文献

Micrometer-sized monodisperse anisotropic polymer particles, with disk, rod, fenestrated hexagon (hexnut), and boomerang shapes, were synthesized using the particle replication in nonwetting templates (PRINT) process, and investigations were conducted on aqueous suspensions of these particles when subjected to alternating electric fields. A coplanar electrode configuration, with 1 to 2 mm electrode gaps (20-50 V ac, 0.5-5.0 kHz) was used, and the experiments were monitored with fluorescence microscopy. For all particle suspensions, the field brought about significant changes in the packing and orientation. Extensive particle chaining and packing were observed for the disk, rod, and hexnut suspensions. Because of the size and geometry of the boomerang particles, limited chaining was observed; however, the field triggered a change from random to a more ordered packing arrangement.  相似文献
