The mass-separator MASHA built to identify Super Heavy Elements by their mass-to-charge ratios is described. The results of the off- and on-line measurements of its separation efficiency are presented. In the former case four calibrated leaks of noble gases were used. In the latter the efficiency was measured via 284 MeV $^{40}$ Ar beam and with using the hot catcher. The ECR ion source was used in both cases. The $\alpha $ -radioactive isotopes of mercury produced in the complete fusion reaction $^{40}$ Ar+ $^{144}$ Sm $\rightarrow ^{184-xn}$ Hg+xn were detected at the mass-separator focal plane. The half-lives and the separation efficiency for the short-lived mercury isotopes were measured. Potentialities of the MEDIPIX detector system have been demonstrated for future use at the mass-separator MASHA.  相似文献

We conducted numerical modeling of atomic (metallic) hydrogen using the PIMC (path integral Monte Carlo) method. The temperature and density range in which the electron (proton) behavior is governed by quantum (classical) statistics was studied. The equations of state in the form of dependences of the internal energy and pressure on temperature and density were obtained in that region. These dependences allow one to reveal and study the phase transition between crystal and liquid phases.  相似文献

The results of experimental studies on the removal of various impurities from gas mixtures excited by pulsed electron beams are presented. As found, it is the use of pulsed beams that ensures a significantly decrease in power consumption for the removal of impurities, as compared with continuous electron beams, and obtaining gaseous or solid substances as final products in some cases.  相似文献

We investigate the origin of the orbital ordering in the paramagnetic phase of KCrF3. All previous studies described structural parameters of the paramagnetic phase using a magnetic ordering in the compound. Our simulations of real paramagnetic KCrF3 were performed within an approach combining density functional theory and dynamical mean field theory (DFT+DMFT). As a result, it was found that the experimentally observed cooperative Jahn–Teller effect is successfully described in a lattice relaxation calculation for structure without any long-range magnetic ordering. It is established that the existence of the orbital ordering even in undistorted perovskite structure clearly confirms the electronic origin of the orbital ordering in KCrF3.  相似文献

We report on the unusual nature of the nu=0 state in the integer quantum Hall effect (QHE) in graphene and show that electron transport in this regime is dominated by counterpropagating edge states. Such states, intrinsic to massless Dirac quasiparticles, manifest themselves in a large longitudinal resistivity rho(xx) > or approximately h/e(2), in striking contrast to rho(xx) behavior in the standard QHE. The nu=0 state in graphene is also predicted to exhibit pronounced fluctuations in rho(xy) and rho(xx) and a smeared zero Hall plateau in sigma(xy), in agreement with experiment. The existence of gapless edge states puts stringent constraints on possible theoretical models of the nu=0 state.  相似文献

Gradual evolution of self-induced silicon surface topology from one-dimensional ridge-like to two-dimensional spike-like nanogratings and then to isotropic sets of micro-columns was observed by evenly increasing IR and UV femtosecond laser irradiation dose. This topological evolution exhibits clear indications of consequent melting and vaporization processes being set up during the prolonged laser irradiation. Monotonously decreasing cumulative IR and UV femtosecond laser-nanostructuring thresholds may indicate an increase of optical absorbance of the laser-nanostructured silicon surfaces versus the increasing laser dose, consistent with the consequent onset of the abovementioned thermal modification processes.  相似文献

Solubility of cellulose, chitin, and chitosan in seven ionic liquids of varied structure was studied. It was found that pressure, temperature, and amount of an aprotic diluent (dimethyl sulfoxide) affect the dissolution of cellulose and chitin in an ionic liquid. The variation of the degree of polymerization of cellulose and chitin in ionic liquid solutions was studied. IR Fourier spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis were used to examine the structural organization of hydrated cellulose and chitin films obtained.  相似文献
