Dense and homogeneous metal–organic framework (MOF) coatings on functional bead surfaces are easily prepared by using intermediate sacrificial metal oxide coatings containing the metal precursor of the MOF. Polystyrene (PS) beads are coated with a ZnO layer to give ZnO@PS core–shell beads. The ZnO@PS beads are reactive in the presence of 2‐methylimidazole to transform part of the ZnO coating into a porous zeolitic imidazolate framework‐8 (ZIF‐8) external shell positioned above the internal ZnO precursor shell. The obtained ZIF‐8@ZnO@PS beads can be easily packed in column format for flow‐through applications, such as the solid‐phase extraction of trace priority‐listed environmental pollutants. The prepared material shows an excellent permeance to flow when packed as a column to give high enrichment factors, facile regeneration, and excellent reusability for the extraction of the pollutant bisphenol A. It also shows an outstanding performance for the simultaneous enrichment of mixtures of endocrine disrupting chemicals (bisphenol A, 4‐tert‐octylphenol and 4‐n‐nonylphenol), facilitating their analysis when present at very low levels (<1 μg L?1) in drinking waters. For the extraction of the pollutant bisphenol A, the prepared ZIF‐8@ZnO@PS beads also show a superior extraction and preconcentration capacity to that of the PS beads used as precursors and the composite materials obtained by the direct growth of ZIF‐8 on the surface of the PS beads in the absence of metal oxide intermediate coatings. 相似文献

The aim of this work was to study the variables that affect the encapsulation and release of proteins from nanoparticles based
on poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid; PLGA)–poloxamer and PLGA–poloxamine blend matrices, using bovine serum albumin (BSA) and
immuno-γ-globulin (IgG) as model proteins. The nanoparticles were prepared by a solvent diffusion technique, and the studied
variables were (1) PLGA molecular weight, (2) type of PEO-block copolymers, (3) protein loading, (4) pH and, (5) volume of
the protein solution. Our results showed that the proteins can be efficiently incorporated into and released from the blend
matrices. The type of the PEO derivative and the pH of the internal aqueous phase were the most important factors influencing
protein encapsulation and release kinetics. Moreover, comparative degradation study of PLGA, PLGA–poloxamer and PLGA–poloxamine
nanoparticles confirmed that the degradation and release characteristics of polyester particles can be improved by the incorporation

The correlations between two qubits belonging to a three-qubit system can violate the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt-Bell inequality beyond Tsirelson's bound [A. Cabello, Phys. Rev. Lett. 88, 060403 (2002)]. We experimentally demonstrate such a violation by 7 standard deviations by using a three-photon polarization-entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state produced by Type-II spontaneous parametric down-conversion. In Bell experiments, one problem is to achieve high enough photodetection to ensure that there is no possibility of describing the results via a local hidden-variable model. Using the Clauser-Horne inequality and a two-photon nonmaximally entangled state, a photodetection efficiency higher than 0.67 is necessary. Here we discuss atom-photon Bell experiments. We show that, assuming perfect detection efficiency of the atom, it is possible to perform a loophole-free atom-photon Bell experiment whenever the photodetection efficiency exceeds 0.50. 相似文献

This Note is devoted to the justification of an asymptotic model for quasisteady three-dimensional spherical flames proposed by G. Joulin [7]. The paper [7] derives, by means of a three-scale matched asymptotic expansion, starting from the classical thermo-diffusive model with high activation energies, an integro-differential equation for the flame radius. In the derivation, it is essential for the Lewis number – i.e., the ratio between thermal and molecular diffusion – to be strictly less than unity. A norm on a Banach space X is called maximal when no equivalentnorm has a larger group of isometries. If, besides this, thereis no equivalent norm with the same isometries (apart from itsscalar multiples), the norm is said to be uniquely maximal,which is equivalent to the convex-transitivity of X: the convexhull of the orbits under the action of the isometry group onthe unit sphere is dense in the unit ball of X.
