Electroluminescent(EL) devices have been fabricated using four different polymers with different glass transition temperatures (Tg) dispersed with N,N′-bis-(3-methylphenyl)-N,N′-diphenyl-1,1′-biphenyl-4,4′-diamine (TPD) as a hole transport layer and tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq3) as an emitting layer. It was found that the higher the Tg of the polymer, the longer the lifetime of the device. From observations of TPD-doped polymer films with optical microscope and atomic force microscope, dispersing TPD in the polymers was found to suppress the crystallization that causes the roughness of the film surface. It was also observed that the higher the Tg of the host polymers, the more difficult TPD crystallization was. The property of the EL device with polyethersulfone (PES) dispersed with TPD was also investigated. The lifetime of EL device with the TPD doped PES film was improved more than five times at a current density below 10 mA/cm2 compared with the device with a conventional TPD hole transport layer. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The library of isostructural porous frameworks enables a systematic survey to optimize the structure and functionality of porous materials. In contrary to metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs), a handful of isostructural frameworks have been reported for hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) due to the weakness of the bonds. Herein, we provide a rule-of-thumb to develop isostructural HOFs, where we demonstrate the construction of the third and fourth generation of isostructural HAT-based HOFs (TolHAT-1 and ThiaHAT-1) by considering three important structural factors, that are (1) directional H-bonding, (2) shape-fitted docking of the HAT core, and (3) modulation of peripheral moieties. Their structural and photo-physical properties including HCl vapor detection are presented. Moreover, TolHAT-1, ThiaHAT-1, and other isostructural HOFs (CPHAT-1 and CBPHAT-1) were thoroughly compared from the viewpoints of structures and properties. Importantly, molecular dynamics (MD) simulation proves to be rationally capable of evaluating the stability of isostructural HOFs. These results can accelerate the development of various isostructural molecular porous materials.

Diastereoselective synthesis of new psi[(E)-CH=CMe]- and psi[(Z)-CH=CMe]-type alkene dipeptide isosteres corresponding to dipeptides having one N-methylamino acid, and application to bioactive peptides, are described. In a key reaction introducing the chiral alpha-alkyl group of the isosteres, organocopper-mediated alkylation of syn-beta-methylated gamma-mesyloxy-alpha,beta-enoate 26a afforded E- and Z-isomers of anti-S(N)2' products in a solvent-dependent manner. The resulting two isosteres, D-Phe-psi[(E)-CH=CMe]-L-Val 27a and D-Phe-psi[(Z)-CH=CMe]-L-Val 28b, which corresponded to trans- and cis-conformers of D-Phe-L-MeVal, respectively, were utilized in a structure-activity relationship study on cyclic RGD peptides 1 and 2, in company with a psi[(E)-CH=CH]-type alkene dipeptide isostere, D-Phe-psi[(E)-CH=CH]-L-Val. The cyclic isostere-containing pseudopeptides 3, 4, and 40 were synthesized and biological activity against integrin alpha(V)beta(3) and alpha(IIb)beta(3) receptors were also evaluated.  相似文献

Random copolymers with high molecular weights of indene and p‐methylstyrene (pMeSt) were synthesized by cationic polymerization with trichloroacetic acid/tin tetrachloride in CH2Cl2 at low temperatures. When indene and pMeSt (1:1 v/v), for example, were polymerized at ?40 °C, both monomers were consumed at very similar rates to give a copolymer with high molecular weight [number‐average molecular weight (Mn): 8–9 × 104]. This is indeed quite unexpected behavior for the combination of these two monomers because pMeSt polymerized over 1000 times faster than indene in the homopolymerization under the reaction conditions previously described. The product copolymer of indene and pMeSt had a random monomer sequence in it that was confirmed by NMR analyses and thermal‐property measurements. In sharp contrast with pMeSt, styrene and p‐chlorostyrene, which have no electron‐donating groups on the phenyl ring, led to low molecular weight polymers (Mn < 10,000) in the copolymerization with indene (1:1 v/v). © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A number of oxotitanium(IV) complexes of the type TiOL with bis‐unsymmetric dibasic tetradentate Schiff base (LH2) containing ONNO donor atoms have been synthesized. Mono‐Schiff base (OPD‐HNP) was prepared by the condensation of 1:3 molar ratio of 2‐hydroxy‐1‐naphthaldehyde (HNP) with o‐phenylenediamine (OPD). Dibasic unsymmetric tetradentate diamine Schiff bases were prepared by the reaction of OPD‐HNP with 2‐hydroxyacetophenone, 2‐hydroxypropeophenone, benzoylacetone, acetylacetone and ethylacetoacetate. Further, titanylacetylacetonate was reacted with these ligands to obtain their metal complexes. On the basis of analytical and physiochemical data, the formation of complexes as TiOL was suggested having square pyramidal geometry. Quantum mechanical approach also confirmed this geometry. The assessment of the synthesized ligands and their complexes showed that some behave as good inhibitors of mycelial growth against selected phytopathogic fungi but weak inhibitors against some selected bacteria. A few of them also showed antioxidant properties.  相似文献

Rotational isomerization of 2-chlorobenzaldehyde in low-temperature rare-gas matrices has been investigated by vibrational and electronic spectroscopies with aids of the density functional theory (DFT) and configuration interaction single (CIS) calculations. Infrared spectrum of the less stable O-cis isomer, produced from the more stable O-trans isomer upon UV irradiation, is measured with an FT-IR spectrophotometer. The enthalpy difference between the O-cis and O-trans isomers is estimated to be 9.7±0.2 kJ mol−1 from the temperature dependence of the infrared band intensities. Analyses of the infrared and electronic absorption spectral changes after UV irradiation and the phosphorescence spectra measured at various excitation wavelengths suggest that the rotational isomerization occurs via the intersystem crossing from S1 to T1.  相似文献

Hydrogen bond complex stability between adenine (A) and hydrogen bond equivalents of uracil: 2-pyridone derivatives (UX X2O) and 3-oxo-1,2,6-thiadiazine-1,1-dioxide derivatives (UX SO2) was studied, and as the result, the hydrogen bond energy of UX X2O-A and a complex of UXX SO2-A, was about 1.5 kcal/mol more stable than that of the corresponding adenine-uracil derivatives complex, respectively. The energy difference between the imide tautomer and enol tautomer was smaller than those of uracil derivatives. UF SO2 can form a stable complex with A, and its imide tautomer is stable.  相似文献

Reaction pathways and kinetics of C2 (carbon-two) aldehyde, acetaldehyde (CH3CHO), and formic acid HCOOH or HOCHO, are studied in neutral and acidic subcritical water at 200-250 degrees C. Acetaldehyde is found to exhibit (i) the acid-catalyzed C-C bond formation between acetaldehyde and formic acid, which generates lactic acid (CH3CH(OH)COOH), (ii) the cross-disproportionation, where formic acid reduces acetaldehyde into ethanol, and (iii) the aldol condensation. The lactic acid formation is a green C-C bond formation, proceeding without any organic solvents or metal catalysts. The new C-C bond formation takes place between formic acid and aldehydes irrespective of the presence of alpha-hydrogens. The hydrothermal cross-disproportionation produces ethanol without base catalysts and proceeds even in acidic condition, in sharp contrast to the classical base-catalyzed Cannizzaro reaction. The rate constants of the reactions (i)-(iii) and the equilibrium constant of the lactic acid formation are determined in the temperature range of 200-250 degrees C and at HCl concentrations of 0.2-0.6 M (mol/dm(3)). The reaction pathways are controlled so that the lactic acid or ethanol yield may be maximized by tuning the reactant concentrations and the temperature. A high lactic acid yield of 68% is achieved when acetaldehyde and formic acid are mixed in hot water, respectively, at 0.01 and 2.0 M in the presence of 0.6 M HCl at 225 degrees C. The ethanol yield attained 75% by the disproportionation of acetaldehyde (0.3 M) and formic acid (2.0 M) at 225 degrees C in the absence of added HCl.  相似文献
