Near-field photoluminescence (PL) imaging spectroscopy was used to investigate multi-exciton and charged-exciton states confined
in a single GaAs interface fluctuation quantum dot. We determined the origin of peaks in the PL spectra by employing a wavefunction
mapping technique. We observed distortion of the exciton wavefunction due to the electric field produced by an excess electron
at a nearby confined state. Near-field wavefunction mapping was demonstrated to be a powerful tool for visualizing the local

Photoproduction of the neutral kaon on the deuteron has been investigated at the Research Center for Electron Photon Science, Tohoku University. We constructed the Neutral Kaon Spectrometer-2 for the detection of charged particles from the decay of the neutral kaon and the hyperon. We obtained a momentum distribution of K 0 with the inclusive measurement. It was consistent with the previous measurement. The total cross section of γ + d → K 0 + Λ + p was estimated from the measured integral cross section of γ + d → Λ + X. The total cross section with respect to the photon energy was compared with the theoretical calculations. It favored the Saclay-Lyon A model calculation with the ratio of the neutral to charged coupling constants of the axial-vector meson, K 1, as ~ ?1.5. The energy dependence and the magnitude of the total cross section were similar to the total cross section of γ + p → K + Λ. 相似文献

This paper reports the investigation of microdroplet sample preparation for phosphate, strontium and rubidium using X-ray fluorescence. Sample filter papers were prepared by drying under several different conditions and the front and the back sides of the filter papers were measured using X-ray fluorescence (XRF), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and electron-probe microanalysis (EPMA). It was reported by Murata and Murokado that the elemental distribution difference between the front and the back sides after drying the filter paper led to erratic data.1 It has been found that the intensity difference between the front and the back sides was due to the condensation of the material of interest on the surface of the filter papers and the amount of the condensed material on the filter paper was related to the temperature at which the filter paper was dried. Optimum temperature at which a filter paper is dried and an appropriate internal standard are essential to reproducible measurements. 相似文献

The Laser Undulator Compact X-ray source(LUCX) is a test bench for a compact high brightness X-ray generator,based on inverse Compton Scattering at KEK,which requires high intensity multi-bunch trains with low transverse emittance.A photocathode RF gun with emittance compensation solenoid is used as an electron source.Much endeavor has been made to increase the beam intensity in the multi-bunch trains.The cavity of the RF gun is tuned into an unbalanced field in order to reduce space charge effects,so that the field gradient on the cathode surface is relatively higher when the forward RF power into gun cavity is not high enough.A laser profile shaper is employed to convert the driving laser profile from Gaussian into uniform.In this research we seek to find the optimized operational conditions for the decrease of the transverse emittance.With the uniform driving laser and the unbalanced RF gun,the RMS transverse emittance of a 1 nC bunch has been improved effectively from 5.46 πmm.mrad to 3.66 πmm.mrad. 相似文献

We represent the first experimental observation of the point spread function (PSF) of optical transition radiation (OTR) performed at KEK-Accelerator Test Facility extraction line. We have demonstrated that the PSF vertical polarization component has a central minimum with a two lobe distribution. However, the distribution width varied significantly with wavelength. We assume that we observed a severe effect from spherical or chromatic aberrations which are not taken into account in any existing theoretical model. We believe that the result of this work will encourage theoreticians to continue developing the theory as it is important for various transition radiation applications. Nonuniform distribution of the OTR PSF creates an opportunity for developing a submicrometer transverse beam size monitor. 相似文献

The critical phenomena in Ni are probed by pulsedSR method under longitudinal- and zero external magnetic fields. The sample magnetization around the critical temperature is confirmed simultaneously by bulk magnetization measurement in situ, disappearance of transverseSR signal and recovery of asymmetry under longitudinal field. At the same time, the ratio of the
+ hyperfine field to the bulk magnetization in the ferromagnetic phase below the critical temperature is determined from the observables obtained only in the present experiment. The zero- and low-field longitudinal relaxation rate of muon does not diverge in approaching toT

The electronic structures of Laves phase compounds AB2 (A = Y, Zr, Nb; B = Cr, Mn, Co, Ni) were investigated systematically by the LMTO method within the framework of the LSD approximation. Comparing the calculated total energy for hypothetical para-, ferro-, and antiferromagnetic state with the C14 and the C15 structure, the theoretical predictions are in good agreement with the experiments concerning the stability of the crystal structure and the magnetism. The magnetic stability critically depends upon the change of the lattice spacing, which leads to the colorful behaviors of the magnetism in Fe Laves phase compounds and the anomalous volume change in the antiferromagnetic state of YMn2. 相似文献

In a previous paper of the same title the author gave a generalization of the constrution of Donaldson–Friedman, to prove the existence of twistor spaces of n CP 2 with a special kind of divisors. In the present paper, we consider its equivariant version. When n = 3, this gives another proof of the existence of degenerate double solid with C *–action, and we show that the branch quartic surface is birational to an elliptic ruled surface. In case n ≥ 4, this yields new Moishezon twistor spaces with C *–action, which is shown to be the most degenerate ones among twistor spaces studied by Campana and Kreußler. 相似文献
