The catalytic role of pyrrhotite (Fe7S8) in the reaction kinetics of the hydrothermal transformation of pentlandite ((Fe,Ni)9S8) to violarite ((FeNi2S4) was found to depend on the physical form of pyrrhotite. Pyrrhotite in fine scale intergrown with pentlandite boosts the

We propose a method for calculating the degree of polarization of nonmonochromatic radiation as it propagates through a single-mode fiber optical waveguide (SMF), based on dividing the length of the fiber into segments equal to the depolarization length of the radiation in the SMF. We have obtained the dependences of the degree of polarization of the radiation on the length of the fiber for an SMF with strong and weak anisotropy. In the case of anisotropic SMF's characterized by weak coupling of orthogonal modes, the results match those obtained previously by other calculation methods. We introduce a chaos-based communication scheme allowing for bidirectional exchange of information. Coupling [corrected] two semiconductor lasers through a partially transparent optical mirror, placed in the pathway connecting the lasers [corrected] delay dynamics is induced in both lasers. We numerically demonstrate that this dynamics can be identically synchronized, and moreover, information introduced on both ends of the link can be simultaneously transmitted. We demonstrate the generation of optically carried, broadly tunable, millimeter-wave signals with a dual-frequency single-axis Nd:YAG laser. A frequency difference as high as 127 GHz is reached thanks to an intracavity electro-optically tunable etalon made of lead zirconate tantalate (PLZT) ceramic. We show that the available frequency range is actually limited by the bandwidth of the amplification medium, namely, far beyond the usually accepted free spectral range value in the case of a single-axis laser. Both coarse discrete and fine continuous tunabilities are obtained with the same voltage-controlled device, opening the way to widely tunable low-phase-noise optically carried submillimeter or even terahertz sources. 相似文献

Immunoaffinity adsorbent for transferrin (Tf) purification was prepared by immobilizing anti‐transferrin (Anti‐Tf) antibody on magnetic monosizepoly(glycidyl methacrylate) beads, which were synthesized by dispersion polymerization technique in the presence of Fe3O4nanopowder and obtained with an average size of 2.0 μm. The magnetic poly(glycidyl methacrylate) (mPGMA) beads were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, swelling tests, scanning electron microscopy, electron spin resonance spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and zeta sizing analysis. The density and swelling ratio of the beads were 1.08 g/cm3 and 52%, respectively. Anti‐Tf molecules were covalently coupled through epoxy groups of mPGMA. Optimum binding of anti‐Tf was 2.0 mg/g. Optimum Tf binding from aqueous Tf solutions was determined as 1.65 mg/g at pH 6.0 and initial Tf concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. There was no remarkable loss in the Tf adsorption capacity of immunoaffinity beads after five adsorption–desorption cycles. Tf adsorption from artificial plasma was also investigated and the purity of the Tf molecules was shown with gel electrophoresis studies. 相似文献
