TiO2 was treated by water in an ultrasonic bath, resulting in the enhancement of the photocatalytic activity for the decomposition of methylene blue under UV and visible light irradiation. No change in the crystallinity and optical properties of TiO2 by the H2O-treatment was observed. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and FT-IR data revealed that the C impurities were oxidized by this treatment, indicating that the change in the structure of the C impurities plays a pivotal role in the photocatalytic activity of TiO2.  相似文献

The additions of two sulfur fluoride derivatives (SF(3)C(6)F(5) and SF(3)CN) to a flowing afterglow were studied by variable electron and neutral density mass spectrometry. Data collection and analysis were complicated by the high reactivity of the neutral species. Both species readily dissociatively attach thermal electrons at 300 K to yield SF(3) + X(-) (X = C(6)F(5), CN). Attachment to SF(3)C(6)F(5) also results in SF(3)(-) + C(6)F(5) as a minor product channel. The determined electron attachment rate constants were 1(-0.6) (+1) × 10(-7) cm(3) s(-1) for SF(3)C(6)F(5), a lower limit of 1 × 10(-8) cm(3) s(-1) for SF(3)CN, and 4 ± 3 × 10(-9) cm(3) s(-1) for SF(3). Mutual neutralization rate constants of C(6)F(5)(-) and CN(-) with Ar(+) at 300 K were determined to be 5.5(-1.6) (+1.0) × 10(-8) and 3.0 ± 1 × 10(-8) cm(3) s(-1), respectively.  相似文献

The coverage dependence of oxygen adsorption energies on the fcc(111) surfaces of seven different transition metals (Rh, Ir, Pd, Pt, Cu, Au, and Ag) is demonstrated through density functional theory calculations on 20 configurations ranging from one to five adsorption sites and coverages up to 1 ML. Atom projected densities of states are used to demonstrate that the d-band mediated adsorption mechanism is responsible for the coverage dependence of the adsorption energies. This common bonding mechanism results in a linear correlation that relates the adsorption energies of each adsorbate configuration across different metal surfaces to each other. The slope of this correlation is shown to be related to the characteristics of the valence d-orbitals and band structure of the surface metal atoms. Additionally, it is shown that geometric similarity of the configurations is essential to observe the configurational correlations.  相似文献

Electrochemical oxidations of aminopurines (adenine, 2‐aminopurine, 2,6‐diaminopurine) and their complexes with Cu(I) on a pencil graphite electrode were investigated by means of linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and elimination voltammetry with linear scan (EVLS). The anodic process of the Cu(I)‐aminopurine complex, corresponding to the oxidation of Cu(I) to Cu(II), takes place in the potential range between 0.4 and 0.5 V (vs. Ag/AgCl/3 M KCl). At more positive potentials the aminopurines provide voltammetric peaks resulting from the oxidation of the purine ring. The stability of the accumulated complex layer was investigated by the adsorptive transfer stripping technique.  相似文献

The stochastic nature of emergency service requests and the unavailability of emergency vehicles when requested to serve demands are critical issues in constructing valid models representing real life emergency medical service (EMS) systems. We consider an EMS system design problem with stochastic demand and locate the emergency response facilities and vehicles in order to ensure target levels of coverage, which are quantified using risk measures on random unmet demand. The target service levels for each demand site and also for the entire service area are specified. In order to increase the possibility of representing a wider range of risk preferences we develop two types of stochastic optimization models involving alternate risk measures. The first type of the model includes integrated chance constraints (ICCs ), whereas the second type incorporates ICCs  and a stochastic dominance constraint. We develop solution methods for the proposed single-stage stochastic optimization problems and present extensive numerical results demonstrating their computational effectiveness.  相似文献

Probabilistically constrained problems, in which the random variables are finitely distributed, are non-convex in general and hard to solve. The p-efficiency concept has been widely used to develop efficient methods to solve such problems. Those methods require the generation of p-efficient points (pLEPs) and use an enumeration scheme to identify pLEPs. In this paper, we consider a random vector characterized by a finite set of scenarios and generate pLEPs by solving a mixed-integer programming (MIP) problem. We solve this computationally challenging MIP problem with a new mathematical programming framework. It involves solving a series of increasingly tighter outer approximations and employs, as algorithmic techniques, a bundle preprocessing method, strengthening valid inequalities, and a fixing strategy. The method is exact (resp., heuristic) and ensures the generation of pLEPs (resp., quasi pLEPs) if the fixing strategy is not (resp., is) employed, and it can be used to generate multiple pLEPs. To the best of our knowledge, generating a set of pLEPs using an optimization-based approach and developing effective methods for the application of the p-efficiency concept to the random variables described by a finite set of scenarios are novel. We present extensive numerical results that highlight the computational efficiency and effectiveness of the overall framework and of each of the specific algorithmic techniques.  相似文献

In this study, we consider two classes of multicriteria two-stage stochastic programs in finite probability spaces with multivariate risk constraints. The first-stage problem features multivariate stochastic benchmarking constraints based on a vector-valued random variable representing multiple and possibly conflicting stochastic performance measures associated with the second-stage decisions. In particular, the aim is to ensure that the decision-based random outcome vector of interest is preferable to a specified benchmark with respect to the multivariate polyhedral conditional value-at-risk or a multivariate stochastic order relation. In this case, the classical decomposition methods cannot be used directly due to the complicating multivariate stochastic benchmarking constraints. We propose an exact unified decomposition framework for solving these two classes of optimization problems and show its finite convergence. We apply the proposed approach to a stochastic network design problem in the context of pre-disaster humanitarian logistics and conduct a computational study concerning the threat of hurricanes in the Southeastern part of the United States. The numerical results provide practical insights about our modeling approach and show that the proposed algorithm is computationally scalable.

Monodisperse magnetic acrylate based particles (5.0 µm in diameter) containing histidine were synthesized using a modified suspension polymerization method for the purification of immunoglobulin G from human plasma in a magnetically stabilized fluidized bed. N-methacryloyl-(L)-histidine methyl ester (MAH) was used as pseudo-specific ligand/co-monomer. MAH content of the magnetic particles was calculated as 55.3 µmol MAH/g polymer using elemental analysis. Immunoglobulin G binding amount of the magnetic particles decreased with increase of the flow-rate. The maximum immunoglobulin G binding was observed at pH 7.4 (phosphate buffer). Immunoglobulin G binding amount onto the magnetic poly(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) [mPEGDMA] particles was found to be almost negligible due to the hydrophilic polymer structure. High binding values were obtained from aqueous solutions (1646 mg/g). Higher immunoglobulin G binding was observed when human plasma was used (2169 mg/g). Purity of the separated immunoglobulin G from human plasma was found to be 87%. Magnetic PEGDMAH particles could be used many times without significant loss in protein binding amount.  相似文献
