[reaction: see text] A highly efficient and rapid four-step synthesis of the bis-spiroketal core of the prunolide natural products, starting from furan itself, is described. The key step and culmination of the synthesis, responsible for zipping up the spirocyclic core, is a singlet oxygen-orchestrated cascade sequence in which a double photooxygenation of a 1,2-difuryl alkene precursor precedes dehydration and spirocyclization to furnish the intact prunolide core.  相似文献

This article is a detailed, normal coordinate analysis of an isolated chain of poly(tetramethyl-p-silphenylene-siloxane), based on results obtained for the corresponding monomer and a recent x-ray structure. Predicted vibrational frequencies are compared with new experimental infrared (IR) and Raman data obtained from powder and well oriented films. Vibrational spectra were also obtained for a deuterio derivative in which all hydrogens in the benzene rings were replaced with deuterium atoms. The results indicate that an intermode mixing occurs between vibrations of the ring and the saturated part which lead to low frequency normal modes characteristic of the chain. The simplified valence force field obtained for this polymer should provide a useful tool for understanding the vibrational spectra of other members of the class of polysiloxanes.  相似文献

The product distribution in the dye-sensitized photooxygenation of α-terpinyl acetate and terpinen-4-ol is quite similar in solution, however, by zeolite Y confinement, is substantially influenced by the position of the remote polar substituents relative to the reacting double bond. Connections between the calculated and measured electrophoretic mobilities (nu(ep)) determined by capillary electrophoresis as well as connections between the measured and calculated diffusion coefficients of anti-tumor peptides have been investigated in background electrolytes (BGEs) containing different organic solvents (acetonitrile, methanol, ethanol and isopropanol). Comparison of the electrophoretic mobility (nu(ep)) values revealed discrepancies between the measured and calculated values. However, no change in the migration order or selectivity could be expected from the calculated nu(ep) values, variation of both properties was observed applying organic solvents as BGE modifiers. Experimental determination of the diffusion coefficient suggested that the effect of the organic solvents is not restricted to the change of the BGE viscosity. The reason for the discrepancy between the measured and calculated mobility values might be the possible conformation and/or solvation changes of the peptide caused by the different organic solvents.  相似文献

Some species of Lactobacillus are of major industrial and health significance as fermenting agents in the manufacturing of food products, as food preservatives, as "probiotic" bacteria or as vaccine delivery vehicles. In spite of their importance, there is a paucity of published information on their genome organization and structure. In this study, a combination of pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and hybridization approaches was used to investigate the genome of L. gasseri neotype strain ATCC33323. PFGE analysis of chromosomal DNA (after digestion with the rare-cutting restriction enzymes I-CeuI, CspI, SmaI, ApaI, and SgrAI) allowed the chromosome size of L. gasseri to be estimated at 1.96 Mbp, and also revealed the presence of a linear plasmid of 48.5 kbp. A physical map of the L. gasseri chromosome, containing 6 sites for the enzymes I-CeuI and 12 for CspI, was constructed. Placed on the map were the genes dnaA and gyrB (usually located close to the origin of replication on the bacterial chromosome) and 18 ribosomal RNA (rrn) genes. Mapping analysis also revealed that the chromosome contained six rrn operons, and that one of them was inverted in orientation with respect to the others. Each rrn operon contained a single copy of each of the three rrn genes, 23S rRNA (rrl), 16S rRNA (rrs) and 55 rRNA (rrf) gene. The constructed physical map should be a useful foundation for genomic and genetic studies of the lactobacilli and provides a platform for applied research, such as the engineering of Lactobacillus strains with improved characteristics for industrial and probiotic applications.  相似文献

A highly sensitive immunosensor using optical waveguide lightmode spectroscopy (OWLS) was developed for the detection of the herbicide trifluralin. OWLS as an in situ and label free method of detection, based on the measurement of the diffraction of a linearly polarized laser beam (He-Ne laser, 632.8 nm) on a diffraction grating in a thin waveguide layer (SiO2-TiO2), offered means to produce immunosensors utilizing immobilized antibodies raised against trifluralin allowing a non-competitive biosensor, or immobilized trifluralin conjugate allowing a competitive biosensor for this analyte. Immobilization of molecules sensitizing the sensor was undertaken on amino silanized waveguide surfaces in a two-step procedure using glutaraldehyde. Within the immobilized antibody (Ab) based immunosensor the signal measured was proportional to the trifluralin content in the samples, but the method allowed detection of trifluralin only above 100 ng ml−1 due to the small molecular size of the antigen (Ag). In the immobilized antigen based immunosensor, a trifluralin-bovine serum albumin (BSA) conjugate was covalently linked to the waveguide surface. During measurements the standard solutions and samples were mixed in 1:1 ratio with antiserum, containing constant amounts of antibodies. The amount of free antibodies bound to the surface was inversely proportional to the trifluralin content of the solutions measured. The immobilized antigen based method allowed detection of trifluralin in the concentration range of 2×10−7 to 3×10−5 ng ml−1. Results of trifluralin determinations were compared to those obtained in parallel enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) tests and in gas chromatorgraphic-mass spectrometric (GC-MS) analyses, and indicated an increase of six orders of magnitude in the limit of detection (LOD).  相似文献

Micellar proportion, t(prop,mic) = t(mic)/t(m), a quantity expressing how much time is spent by the analyte in the micellar phase related to its whole migration time (t(m)) has been introduced by utilizing the micellar phase residence time (t(mic)). The t(prop,mic) values have been determined for analytes of different chemical structures (alkyl benzene and alkyl phenone homologous series, alcohols, strongly hydrophobic peptides) studied by micellar elektrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) using various cationic and anionic pseudostationary phases. A good linear correlation was obtained between t(prop,mic) and the calculated hydrophobicity (CLOGP) of the analytes for all pseudostationary phases (CLOGP = A.logt(prop,mic) + B). Considering a given pseudostationary phase, t(prop,mic) as a relative quantity is a suitable parameter to characterize and compare experimentally the behavior of the various analytes in MEKC. Applying a set of probe molecules with known hydrophobicity, the CLOGP(50) value (showing the value of hydrophobicity of a virtual molecule spending exactly 50% of its migration time in the pseudostationary phase) has been calculated for each pseudostationary phase applied here. This experimentally determinable numerical value (characterizing the pseudostationary phase) can be utilized to compare the hydrophobicity and hence retention ability of the pseudostationary phases. The t(prop,mic) value was found to be applicable to compare the methylene selectivity of the different pseudostationary phases as well: logt(prop,mic) = A.Z + B, where Z is the number of carbon atoms of the alkyl chain in the alkyl benzene homologous series.  相似文献

Most insecticides commonly used in storage facilities are synthetic, an issue that generates concerns about food safety and public health. Therefore, the development of eco-friendly pest management tools is urgently needed. In the present study, a 6% (w/w) Hazomalania voyronii essential oil-based nanoemulsion (HvNE) was developed and evaluated for managing Tribolium confusum, T. castaneum, and Tenebrio molitor, as an eco-friendly wheat protectant. Larval and adult mortality was evaluated after 4, 8, and 16 h, and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 days, testing two HvNE concentrations (500 ppm and 1000 ppm). T. confusum and T. castaneum adults and T. molitor larvae were tolerant to both concentrations of the HvNE, reaching 13.0%, 18.7%, and 10.3% mortality, respectively, at 1000 ppm after 7 days of exposure. However, testing HvNE at 1000 ppm, the mortality of T. confusum and T. castaneum larvae and T. molitor adults 7 days post-exposure reached 92.1%, 97.4%, and 100.0%, respectively. Overall, the HvNE can be considered as an effective adulticide or larvicide, depending on the target species. Our results highlight the potential of H. voyronii essential oil for developing green nanoinsecticides to be used in real-world conditions against key stored-product pests.  相似文献

The northwestern prevailing wind direction and episodic south-to-north trajectories connect Hungarian atmosphere to the west and middle European as well as Mediterranean and Scandinavian regions that were covered by the 21 sampling sites active in an international collaboration on air quality.
