Synthesis and Antimycotic Properties of Hydroxy Sulfides Derived from exo- and endo-4-phenyl-3,5,8-trioxabicyclo[5.1.0]octanes

Both exo- and endo-isomers of 4-phenyl-3,5,8-trioxabicyclo[5.1.0]octane were reacted with thiophenol to afford individual diastereomers of hydroxy sulfides which were further processed in search for new antimycotic substances.

Electrochemical Corrosion Behavior of Monel Alloy in Carbonate Melts

The interaction of the monel alloy and its corrosion resistance in a melt of alkali metal carbonates in an oxidizing atmosphere was studied. The selectivity of alloy dissolution and modification of the electrode surface after storage at a constant anode potential were analyzed. The generation and development of local corrosion defects (pit corrosion, intercrystallite corrosion, corrosion cracking) on monel alloy (70% nickel, 28% copper), copper, and nickel electrodes in the molten eutectic of lithium, sodium, and potassium carbonates at a working temperature of 773 K were studied. The anode polarization was accompanied by a change in the state of the electrode surface.     

Phosphorylation of betti base with diethyl chlorophosphate

Phosphoric acid derivatives containing chiral Betti base fragment were synthesized by reacting racemic and enantiopure N-Boc-protected 1-(α-aminobenzyl)-2-naphthols with diethyl chlorophosphate followed by deprotection.     

Phototransformation products of the alkaloid lappaconitine: Multinuclear NMR study

The NMR technique has been applied to characterize the phototransformation products of the natural alkaloid lappaconitine. It was demonstrated that the photolysis of lappaconitine 1 results in cleavage of the ester bond with elimination of N-acetylanthranilic acid. The final reaction product was found to be an immonium salt 4 of N-acetylanthranilic acid and enamine 3. An equilibrium between the imine cation and the enamine 3 was detected.     

Sorption capacity of new cation exchangers based on oil residue and epoxy resin for chromium(III) ions

Sorption of chromium(III) ions by cation exchangers based on oil residue and ED-20 epoxy resin was studied in comparison with that of KU-2 × 8 industrial cation exchanger.     

REACTION OF (ORGANYLTHIO)CHLOROACETYLENES WITH ALIPHATIC 1,2-DITHIOLS: A ROUTE TO FUNCTIONALIZED 1,3-DITHIOLANES

(Organylthio)chloroacetylenes react with aliphatic 1,2-dithiols in dimethyl sulfoxide at 20–25°C in the presence of a two-fold molar excess of alkali to form 2-[(alkylthio)methyliden]-1,3-dithiolanes in up to 66% yield.     

New polyfunctional anion exchangers for platinum metal sorption

The platinum(IV) and palladium(II) sorption properties under static conditions were examined for new polyfunctional anion exchangers based on resorcinol diglycidyl ether, monoethanolamine vinyl ether, allyl bromide, and various amines.
