We report an experimental study of the secondary modulational instability of a one-dimensional nonlinear traveling wave in a long bounded channel. Two qualitatively different instability regimes involving fronts of spatiotemporal defects are linked to the convective and absolute nature of the instability. Both transitions appear to be subcritical. The spatiotemporal defects control the global mode structure.  相似文献

An experiment has been performed for measuring a nonlinear refractive index that is due to the polarizability difference ΔP between excited (4T2) and ground (4A2) states in a Cr3+:LiSAF crystal at λ = 647 nm. The latter one is responsible for a population lensing effect which has been monitored by using the eclipsing Z-scan technique. We have performed a data analysis that allows to distinguish between thermal and population contributions to the lensing effect. We have found ΔP = 4.6 × 10−25 cm3 which is in a good agreement with our previous measurements with a different technique.  相似文献

The diffraction of an ultrashort pulsed laser beam by an opaque particle is studied. The case of a pulse with a Gaussian spectrum is investigated analytically by using the steepest descent method. This analytical solution allows us to calculate the intensity distribution of the diffraction field. This result enables to determine the optimal fractional orders Fourier transform to reconstruct digital in-line particle hologram.  相似文献

Acoustic channel properties in a shallow water environment with moving source and receiver are difficult to investigate. In fact, when the source-receiver relative position changes, the underwater environment causes multipath and Doppler scale changes on the transmitted signal over low-to-medium frequencies (300 Hz-20 kHz). This is the result of a combination of multiple paths propagation, source and receiver motions, as well as sea surface motion or water column fast changes. This paper investigates underwater acoustic channel properties in a shallow water (up to 150 m depth) and moving source-receiver conditions using extracted time-scale features of the propagation channel model for low-to-medium frequencies. An average impulse response of one transmission is estimated using the physical characteristics of propagation and the wideband ambiguity plane. Since a different Doppler scale should be considered for each propagating signal, a time-warping filtering method is proposed to estimate the channel time delay and Doppler scale attributes for each propagating path. The proposed method enables the estimation of motion-compensated impulse responses, where different Doppler scaling factors are considered for the different time delays. It was validated for channel profiles using real data from the BASE'07 experiment conducted by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Undersea Research Center in the shallow water environment of the Malta Plateau, South Sicily. This paper provides a contribution to many field applications including passive ocean tomography with unknown natural sources position and movement. Another example is active ocean tomography where sources motion enables to rapidly cover one operational area for rapid environmental assessment and hydrophones may be drifting in order to avoid additional flow noise.  相似文献

The expressions for the time-averaged Pointing’s vector in absorptive left-handed medium based on the classical vector Maxwell’s equations for a continuum have been obtained. It was found that in the case of inclined incidence with mixed polarization the additional plane component of Poynting’s vector perpendicular to incidence plane has appeared for negative effective refraction. This addition of the in-plane component leads to non-coincidence of refraction and incidence plane.  相似文献

The electrochemical performance of porous La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3  δ (LSCF) cathodes is improved by inserting a dense LSCF layer. A 200 nm thin layer is deposited on the electrolyte substrate by pulsed laser deposition, prior to the screen printing process. This procedure enhances the adherence of the porous cathode layer to the electrolyte and allows a lower sintering temperature, which reduces grain growth during sintering. In air a decrease in polarization resistance with a factor of 3 is observed for electrodes sintered at 1100 °C. The apparent electrolyte resistance is also reduced with the dense PLD layer. A remarkable change in Po2 dependence is observed for the Gerischer parameters that describe part of the electrode impedance, indicating a possible change in the oxygen transfer mechanism.  相似文献

The diffusion of an adatom on a substrate submitted to a standing surface acoustic wave is theoretically studied. By performing large scale molecular dynamic simulations, we show that the wave dynamically structures the substrate by encouraging the presence of the adatom in the vicinity of the maximum displacements of the substrate. Using an analytical model, we explain this feature introducing an effective potential induced by the wave. Applied in an atomic deposition experiment, this dynamic structuring process should govern the nucleation sites distribution opening the route to accurately control the self-organization process at the nanoscale.  相似文献

The synthesis of a series of [(IPr)Pd(R‐acac)Cl] precatalysts (acac=acetylacetonato; IPr=1,3‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazol‐2‐ylidene), where the acac ligand on palladium has been systematically modified through terminal substitution, is reported. The following substituted acac ligands are employed in this study: dibenzoylmethanato (dbm), benzoylacetonato (bac), tetramethylheptanedionato (tmhd), and hexafluoroacetylacetonato (hfac). Full spectroscopic characterization of the new complexes is provided along with X‐ray studies for three of these. Investigation of their catalytic activity in cross‐coupling is also presented through a comparative study in an aryl amination reaction. The catalytic results show a strong correlation between the increased steric bulk of the acac substituents and an increased activation rate of the precatalyst, going from the acac to the tmhd ligand. This observation, along with the inertness of the hfac compound, seems to support our previous proposal for the activation mechanism of these complexes under cross‐coupling conditions.  相似文献

In Africa, Mitragyna inermis (Willd.) O. Kuntze (Rubiaceae) is commonly used in traditional medicine to treat malaria. Antimalarial activity is mostly due to the hydromethanolic extract of M. inermis leaves and especially to the main alkaloids, uncarine D and isorhynchophilline. In the present study, we describe for the first time an HPLC method for the simultaneous quantification of uncarine D and isorhynchophylline in biological matrices. SPE was used to extract the components and the internal standard naphthalene from human and pig plasma samples. Chromatographic separation was performed on a C‐18 reversed column at a flow rate of 1 mL/min, using methanol–phosphate buffer (10:90, pH 7), as a mobile phase. Good linearity was observed over the concentration ranges of 0.0662–3.31 μg/mL for uncarine D and 0.0476–2.38 μg/mL for isorynchophylline. The precision was less than 12% and the accuracy was from 86 to 107% without any discrepancy between the two species. Uncarine D and isorhynchophylline recoveries were over 80%. These results allowed the quantification of both uncarine D and isorhynchophylline in pig plasma after intravenous administration of M. inermis extract.  相似文献

Atmospheric pressure chemical vapour deposition of titanium tetrachloride and niobium pentachloride with di-tert-butyl selenide at 550 °C was investigated for different precursors’ flow rates. Scanning electron microscopy of the films showed that they were composed of two different kinds of plate-like crystallites. Point wavelength dispersive X-ray (WDX) analyses of the crystallites revealed that they either had the NbSe2 or the TiSe2 composition. The presence of the two phases was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the calculated cell parameters indicate that niobium or titanium was not incorporated into each others’ lattice. WDX and XRD analyses highlighted how the NbSe2:TiSe2 ratio in the composite films could be controlled by precursor flow rate.  相似文献
