Medicinal plants have been the main remedy to treat various ailments for a long time and nowadays, many drugs have been developed from traditional medicine. This paper reviews some medicinal plants and their main constituents which possess anti-inflammatory activities useful for curing joint inflammation, inflammatory skin disorders, cardiovascular inflammation and other inflammatory diseases. Here, we provide a brief overview of quick and easy reading on the role of medicinal plants and their main constituents in these inflammatory diseases. We hope that this overview will shed some light on the function of these natural anti-inflammatory compounds and attract the interest of investigators aiming at the design of novel therapeutic approaches for the treatment of various inflammatory conditions.  相似文献

The aim of this work was i) to develop a hydrothermal, low-temperature synthesis protocol affording the upconverting hexagonal phase NaYF4 with suitable dopants while adhering to the “green chemistry” standards and ii) to explore the effect that different parameters have on the products. In optimizing the synthesis protocol, short reaction times and low temperatures (below 150 °C) were considered. Yb3+ and Er3+ ions were chosen as dopants for the NaYF4 material. Within the context of the second goal, parameters including nature of the precursors, treatment temperature, and treatment time were investigated to afford a pure hexagonal crystalline phase, both in the doped and undoped materials. To fully explore the synthesis results, the prepared materials were characterized from a structural (XRD), compositional (XPS, ICP-MS), and morphological (SEM) point of view. The upconverting properties of the compounds were confirmed by photoluminescence measurements.  相似文献

This paper shows the results of underground waters last monitoring in the province of Lecce (Apulia, Southern Italy). We carried out the physical-chemical characterization of the aquifers and their classification in accordance to limit values sanctioned by Italian legislation in force, by European directives and by FAO, in order to define their quality and to establish their possible use for drinkable and irrigation purposes. The attention has been focused on salinity evaluation and underground waters contamination phenomena, due to sea-water intrusion and to the use of fertilizers. Salinity and nitrates concentrations are high in a few wells. Iron and manganese concentrations are very high for almost every sample and this is due to corrosion phenomena of artesian wells metallic structure. For a better interpretation of data, multivariate statistical analysis has been used, in order to obtain the correlation among analytical results, soils hydro-geological properties and anthropic conditions.  相似文献

Changes in the UV-vis spectra and induced circular dichroism (ICD) signals observed, in correspondence with the porphyrin Soret region, for aqueous solutions of achiral 5,10,15,20-tetrakis{p-[omega-methoxy poly(oxy-ethylene)]phenyl}porphyrin cobalt (II) (Co-P) and aromatic alpha-L-amino acids (Trp and Phe) give direct evidence for the coordination between the Co-P and amino acids. Considering that Co-P, besides the Co atom (one-fixation-point system), does not contain in the molecule active ligand groups and that no ICD signals have been observed in the case of Co-P/Ala, it has been concluded that hydrophobic interactions or stacking interactions between the aromatic rings of the porphyrin and those of Trp or Phe, acting as further amino acid (AA) fixation points, can strongly reduce the mobility of the chiral guest, thus permitting the generation of ICD signals. The effects of changes of both pH (in the range 2-9) and amino acid structure on the ICD phenomenon have also been investigated. In particular, the following have been observed: (i) strong ICD signals for all of the Co-P/N-acetyl amino acid aqueous solutions at pH 7, (ii) an unexpected ICD band with a bisignate form for the Co-P/Ala solution at pH 9 after long aging, and (iii) an opposite ICD signal when alpha-D-Phe and alpha-D-Trp enantiomers have been used. The data reported in this paper show how the binding mechanism between receptor and AAs changes by modulating properly the pH or the molecular structures and indicate that in these aqueous solutions the coordination Co-N is not the fundamental mechanism giving rise to the formation of the complexes and that the binding can be driven by hydrophobic interactions. These occurrences, through the analysis of the spectroscopic response (and, in particular, the form of the ICD band), can allow the recognition of AAs.  相似文献

Heck reaction of aryl iodides and activated aryl bromides catalyzed by copper bronze in tetrabutylammonium bromide as solvent and tetrabutylammonium acetate as base was developed. The effective catalysts are Cu nanoparticles deriving from the reaction of iodobenzene with copper bronze. These nanoparticles are very stable in tetraalkylammonium salts, are easily recycled, and can be stored for months without a loss of catalytic efficiency. [reaction: see text]  相似文献

As part of our interest in the design and reactivity of P,O ligands, and because the insertion chemistry of small molecules into a metal alkyl bond is very dependent on the ancillary ligands, the behavior of Pt-methyl complexes containing the beta-phosphonato-phosphine ligand rac-Ph2PCH(Ph)P(O)(OEt)2 (abbreviated PPO in the following) toward CO insertion has been explored. New, mononuclear Pt(II) complexes containing one or two PPO ligands, [PtClMe(kappa2-PPO)] (1), [Pt{C(O)Me}Cl(kappa2-PPO)] (2), [PtMe(CO)(kappa2-PPO)]OTf (3 x OTf), [PtMe(OTf)(kappa2-PPO)] (4), trans-[PtClMe(kappa1-PPO)2] (5), [PtMe(kappa2-PPO)(kappa1-PPO)]BF4 (6 x BF4), [PtMe(kappa2-PPO)(kappa1-PPO)]OTf (6 x OTf), and [Pt{C(O)Me}(kappa2-PPO)(kappa1-PPO)]BF4 (7 x BF4) have been prepared and characterized. Hemilability of the ligands is observed in the cations 6 and 7 in which the terminally bound and chelating PPO ligands exchange their role on the NMR time-scale. The acetyl complexes 2 and 7 are stable in solution, but the former deinserts CO upon chloride abstraction. We also demonstrate the ability of PPO to behave as an assembling ligand and to stabilize a heterometallic Pt-Ag metal complex, [PtMe(kappa2-PPO){mu-(eta1-P;eta1-O)PPO)}Ag(OTf)(Pt-Ag)]OTf (8 x OTf), which was obtained by reaction of 5 with AgOTf to generate more reactive, cationic complexes. Whereas the first equivalent of AgOTf abstracted the chloride ligand, the second equivalent added to the cationic complex with formation of a Pt-Ag bond (2.819(1) A). The complexes 1, 2, 4, 5 x CH2Cl2, and (8 x OTf)2 have been structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The latter has a dimeric nature in the solid state, with two silver-bound triflates acting as bridging ligands between two Pt-Ag moieties. In addition to the Ag-Pt bond, the Ag+ cation is stabilized by a dative O -->Ag interaction involving one of the PPO ligands.  相似文献

Mesoporous silicates are prepared by templating on the hexagonal (H1) mesophase of surfactant bipyridine complexes of ruthenium(II) using a true liquid-crystal templating approach. On calcination, the surfactant template is removed except for the central metal ion that is oxidised, forming nanoparticles of RuO2 that deposit within the pores. RuO2 is a known oxidation catalyst and, despite its anhydrous nature in these silicates, is found to be very active in catalyzing the oxidation of water by acidic CeIV.  相似文献

Alanyl peptide nucleic acids (alanyl-PNAs) are oligomers based on a regular peptide backbone with alternating configuration of the amino acids. All side chains are modified by covalently linked nucleobases. Alanyl-PNAs form very rigid, well defined, and linear double strands based on hydrogen bonding of complementary strands, stacking, and solvation. Side chain homology was examined by comparing a methylene linker (alanyl-PNA) with an ethylene linker (homoalanyl-PNA), a trimethylene linker (norvalyl-PNA), and PNA sequences with mixed linker length between nucleobase and backbone. Side chain homology in combination with a linear double strand topology turned out to be valuable in order to selectively manipulate pairing selectivity (pairing mode) and base pair stacking.  相似文献

The interaction between the anionic 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)-21H,23H-porphyrin (TPPS) and cationic vesicles formed by heptakis(2-omega-amino-O-oligo(ethylene oxide)-6-hexylthio)-beta-cyclodextrin (SC6CDNH2) has been investigated in detail through a combination of elastic light scattering (ELS), quasi-elastic light scattering (QELS), zeta potential measurements, and time-resolved fluorescence anisotropy. ELS experiments provided the first structural characterization of these cationic vesicles both in the absence and in the presence of TPPS porphyrin, modeling the system as a spherical particle described by a single thin shell form factor. The structure of mixed hetero-aggregates is modulated by charge and size of the two components as function of different porphyrin/cyclodextrin (CD) molar ratios. At the limiting molar ratio studied, the absolute value of zeta potential (/zeta/ = 12.5 mV) seems to be a reference value for the formation of stable colloidal CD vesicular aggregates at thermodynamic equilibrium. New insights on the structure of these heterotopic colloids have been obtained by analysis of rotational correlation times at different molar ratios exploiting time-resolved fluorescence anisotropy experiments. At high porphyrin loads, the anisotropy decays behave as monoexponentials and the rotational correlation times (1-2 ns) together with the r(0) values close to zero suggest the presence of small amounts of TPPS embedded in a hydrophobic environment either in monomeric or in aggregated form. At the lower porphyrin/CD molar ratios, the anisotropy decays exhibit a double-exponential behavior showing a predominant component with a slow rotational correlation time (20-25 ns) and limiting anisotropy values of approximately 0.15. This component has been assigned to molecules that are more stabilized onto the CD vesicles, that is, porphyrins embedded into the oligo-ethylene "wall" of the CD vesicles. Scanning near-field optical microscopy of the samples evaporated on glass surfaces gave further insights on the morphology and optical properties of these systems, confirming the embedding of TPPS on the vesicles and evidencing the role of the solvent.  相似文献

AOT/water/decane microemulsions have been used to entrap the water-soluble 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin (TPPS4). Quasi-elastic light scattering technique has confirmed the confinement of the porphyrin and its various aggregates into the inner water pool. Various species have been detected as function of the size of the microemulsions, concentration of the porphyrin, pH, and aging of the solutions by using a combination of UV-vis absorption, steady fluorescence emission, fluorescence lifetime measurements, and time-resolved fluorescence anisotropy. Under neutral pH conditions, the porphyrin is present as the free base monomer (S414) in the inner water compartment, and it is free to rotate when the size of the droplet is large enough and the porphyrin concentration is low. On increasing the concentration and/or decreasing the microemulsion size, a H-dimer of the free base (S406) is prevalently formed. Aging both the S414 and S406 species leads to the formation of a new species (S424), which has been postulated as a H-type dimer of the diacid porphyrin. On decreasing the pH, the species S414 and S406 almost instantaneously convert into the diacid porphyrin, which is monomeric (S434). This latter is an intermediate in the eventual formation of J-aggregated TPPS4 (S490). A marked stability has been observed for the S424 species, which do not interconvert on changing the pH of the bulk aqueous phase.  相似文献
