Electrical conductivity and photoconductivity of film materials based on heteropolynuclear Cu/Cd complexes and organic polymers

We have studied the characteristic features of the electrical conductivity and photoconductivity of films of composites based on polyvinyl butyral and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene with added heteropolynuclear Cu/Cd complexes having one-dimensional and two-dimensional polymer structures and with added anthracene, epoxypropyl carbazole, and C₆₀ organofullerene molecules. Normal positive and abnormal negative effects of photoconductivity were found. Synthesis and hydrazinolysis of β-(1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)pyridines

Cyclization of the hydrazide of 5-ethoxycarbonyl-2,6-dimethylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid by acylation with aromatic or aliphatic acid chlorides with subsequent boiling in POCl₃ or heating in orthoformic acid gave the corresponding ethyl 2,6-dimethyl-5-(5-R-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)pyridine-3-carboxylate. The cyclization of the reaction products with hydrazine hydrate has been studied. Cyclization of the dihydrazide of 2,6-dimethyl-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid under analogous conditions gave only 3,5-bis-(5-R-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-2,6-dimethylpyridines, containing R = 2-FC₆H₄, H.

A Comparative Study of Acetonitrile Fraction Marker Substances from Leaves and Fruits of Malus sylvestris

The new plant raw material from leaves and fruits of Malus sylvestris is analyzed. It is shown that the content of substances extracted with acetonitrile amounted to 4.7–5.4% for leaves and 2.3–2.8% for fruits. The obtained extracts were used to identify substances, the presence of which is specific for the plant’s raw material and can be used in the future to identify raw material in crushed and powdered form. It is found that acetonitrile extract of Malus sylvestris is characterized by the presence of 10 peaks for fruits and 22 peaks for leaves, which can be considered as markers for the identification of medicinal plant material.     

Search for sources of primary cosmic radiation at energies above 10<Superscript>14</Superscript> eV

The results obtained at the separate installation of the Tien Shan station, intended for continuous studies, are analyzed with the aim of searching for local sources of primary cosmic radiation (PCR) at energies of 10¹⁴ − 10¹⁵ eV. Arrival directions in equatorial coordinates are determined for 35 millions of recorded extensive air showers (EAS) from PCR. The directions where the standard deviation of the number of events exceeds a certain value are separated. These can be the directions along which neutral primary cosmic particles (γ-rays and others) come from PCR sources. Some directions coincide with the results of other installations and pulsar positions.
