The Weierstrass semigroup H(P) is well known and has been studied. Recently there has been a renewed interest in these semigroups because of applications in coding theory. Fluorescence liftime imaging (FLIM) of modified hydrophobic bodipy dyes that act as fluorescent molecular rotors shows that the fluorescence lifetime of these probes is a function of the microviscosity of their environment. Incubating cells with these dyes, we find a punctate and continuous distribution of the dye in cells. The viscosity value obtained in what appears to be endocytotic vesicles in living cells is around 100 times higher than that of water and of cellular cytoplasm.Time-resolved fluorescence anisotropy measurements also yield rotational correlation times consistent with large microviscosity values. In this way, we successfully develop a practical and versatile approach to map the microviscosity in cells based on imaging fluorescent molecular rotors.  相似文献

This study considers numerical simulation of the combustion of hydrogen with air, including oxygen and nitrogen, in a burner and the numerical solution of local entropy generation rate due to the high temperature and velocity gradients in the combustion chamber. The effects of equivalence ratio (ϕ) and oxygen percentage (γ) on the combustion and entropy generation rate are investigated for different ϕs (from 0.5 to 1.0) and γs (from 10 to 30%). The combustion is simulated for the fuel mass flow rate providing the same heat transfer rate to the combustion chamber in the each case. The numerical calculation of combustion is performed individually for all cases with the help of the Fluent CFD code. Furthermore, a computer program has been developed to calculate numerically the volumetric entropy generation rate distributions and the other thermodynamic parameters by using the results of the calculations performed with the FLUENT code. The calculations bring out that the increase of ϕ (or the decrease of λ) reduces significantly the reaction rate levels. The average temperatures in the combustion chamber increase about 70 and 23% with the increases of γ (from 10 to 30%) and ϕ (from 0.5 to 1.0), respectively. With the increase of γ from 10 to 30%, the volumetric local entropy generation rates decrease about 9 and 4% in the cases of ϕ=0.5 and 1.0, respectively, and while the total entropy generation rates decrease exponentially, the merit numbers increase. The useful energy transfer rate to irreversibility rate therefore improves as the oxygen percentage increases.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a novel macro-scale analytical model that allows the prediction of how the population size will change in a cell culture starting from an arbitrary initial value. General biological knowledge and some empirical observations are used to design an agent-based discrete-time model at the meso-scale, which then serves as a simulation environment and provides the necessary insights for the development of the continuous-time, differential equation-based, compact macro-scale model. This model can be parameter-tuned and employed for predicting how the population size changes. The paper gives a procedure for the estimation of parameter values of the macro-scale model via some simple tests to be conducted on the cell culture at hand. The performance of the macro-scale model is validated via simulation results that show how well the macro-scale model captures the population dynamics as obtained from the meso-scale model, while the biological plausibility of the meso-scale model is taken for granted.  相似文献

A new flavone glucoside, 4′,5-dihydroxy-3′,5′,6-trimethoxyflavone-7-O-β-D-glucoside was obtained from aerial parts of Artemisia juncea, together with the known flavone eupatilin (5,7-dihydroxy-3′,4′,6-trimethoxyflavone). The compounds were comprehensively analytically characterized by IR, UV, NMR and HR-MS, and their chemical structures ascertained. The EtOAc fraction of A. juncea showed the strongest DPPH radical scavenging ability as well as reducing power (in CUPRAC and FRAP assays) and phosphomolybdenum activity. This fraction also exhibited the strongest inhibitory effects on tyrosinase. Additionally, the best antidiabetic effects were observed for eupatilin and the CHCl3 fraction.  相似文献

Prunus mahaleb L. fruit has long been used in the production of traditional liqueurs. The fruit also displayed scavenging and reducing activity, in vitro. The present study focused on unravelling peripheral and central protective effects, antimicrobial but also anti-COVID-19 properties exerted by the water extract of P. mahaleb. Anti-inflammatory effects were studied in isolated mouse colons exposed to lipopolysaccharide. Neuroprotection, measured as a blunting effect on hydrogen-peroxide-induced dopamine turnover, was investigated in hypothalamic HypoE22 cells. Antimicrobial effects were tested against different Gram+ and Gram- bacterial strains. Whereas anti-COVID-19 activity was studied in lung adenocarcinoma H1299 cells, where the gene expression of ACE2 and TMPRSS2 was measured after extract treatment. The bacteriostatic effects induced on Gram+ and Gram- strains, together with the inhibition of COX-2, TNFα, HIF1α, and VEGFA in the colon, suggest the potential of P. mahaleb water extract in contrasting the clinical symptoms related to ulcerative colitis. The inhibition of the hydrogen peroxide-induced DOPAC/DA ratio indicates promising neuroprotective effects. Finally, the downregulation of the gene expression of ACE2 and TMPRSS2 in H1299 cells, suggests the potential to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 virus entry in the human host. Overall, the results support the valorization of the local cultivation of P. mahaleb.  相似文献

Crystal structure of the compound entitled 2-methylamino-5-[(5-methyl-2-benzoxazolinone-3-yl)methyl]-1,3,4-thiadiazole dihydrophosphate is determined using X-ray analysis and compared with the structure obtained from semiempirical and RHF methods at various levels of theory. RHF/6-31G(d) calculations offer the best conformity with X-ray results for bond lengths and bond angles. Moreover, at the result of the comparison of various combinations of basis sets and methods, it appears that there is not much gain in accuracy by using sophisticated methods.  相似文献

Reactions of amidines with malononitrile dimer in DMF and catalyzed with piperidine are reported. The reaction occurred via amination process followed by cyclization to give racemic 6‐aminopyrimidine compounds. The reaction mechanism was discussed. Reactions of thiosemicarbazones with 2‐amino‐1,1,2‐ethenetricarbonitrile were reported. The reaction occurred in the amidrazonyl site, and new pyrimidine‐2‐thiones were obtained. The reaction mechanism was discussed. The structure of products was elucidated by MS, IR, and NMR spectra together with elemental analyses. The antitumor activity was evaluated against one tumor cell line. Using a standard MTT assay, the effect of the samples on the growth of HepG2 cells was investigated. Half of these compounds showed no cytotoxic effect on HepG2 cells, while the others result in decreasing in the HepG2 cell viability.  相似文献
