We present a determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa parameter |V(us)| based on new measurements of the six largest K(L) branching fractions and semileptonic form factors by the KTeV (E832) experiment at Fermilab. We find |V(us)|=0.2252+/-0.0008(KTeV)+/-0.0021(ext), where the errors are from KTeV measurements and from external sources. We also use the measured branching fractions to determine the CP violation parameter |eta(+-)|=(2.228+/-0.005(KTeV)+/-0.009(ext))x10(-3).  相似文献

The study of the reaction of l-tyrosine or its tetrabutylammonium salt with formaldehyde was performed. The results established that this reaction does not lead to macrocyclic amino acid-type compounds, and in all cases, mixtures of linear oligomers of two or more l-tyrosine units bound by methylene groups were obtained. The formation of ion pair-type linear aggregates in the tetrabutylammonium salt hinders the oligomerization reaction, allowing the isolation of an l-tyrosine dimer, unlike the l-tyrosine reaction, in which a trimer could be isolated.  相似文献

Fluorine-19 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers advantages for imaging organs and tissues. 19F is readily synthesized into a variety of compounds and offers the potential for in-vivo imaging as a complement to hydrogen MRI. The purpose of this work was to determine the minimum detection sensitivity for a fluorinated compound (CF3-CO2H) as a function of pulse sequence, interpulse times (TE, TI, and TR), gradient values and the number of data averages. CF3-CO2H was chosen because it has a single spectral line and exhibits a minimal frequency shift under the experimental conditions used for this experiment. A resistance MR scanner operating at a resonance frequency of 6.255 MHz was used for imaging both fluorine (.156 T) and hydrogen (.147 T). Critical factors determining the minimum detection sensitivity included system signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), acquisition time, relaxation times (T1, T2), and sample volume. Samples were measured over the range of 0.05 M to 20.0 M and showed a linear relationship between signal strength and concentration. The minimum detection sensitivity was 0.1 M. Use of higher static fields and optimized coils as well as improved system signal-to-noise ratios will improve detection sensitivity. We conclude that imaging of fluorine on low-field system is feasible, although it is necessary to optimize many parameters to maximize detection sensitivity.  相似文献

We have developed a novel real-time phase-resolved functional optical coherence tomography system that uses optical Hilbert transformation. When we use a resonant scanner in the reference arm of the interferometer, with an axial scanning speed of 4 kHz, the frame rate of both structural and Doppler blood-flow imaging with a size of 100 by 100 pixels is 10 Hz. The system has high sensitivity and a larger dynamic range for measuring the Doppler frequency shift that is due to moving red blood cells. Real-time images of in vivo blood flow in human skin obtained with this interferometer are presented.  相似文献

Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI) is a technique for imaging spatial variation of metabolites and has been very useful in characterizing biochemical changes associated with disease as well as response to therapy in malignant pathologies. This work presents a self-calibrated undersampling to accelerate 3D elliptical MRSI and an extrapolation-reconstruction algorithm based on the GRAPPA method. The accelerated MRSI technique was tested in three volunteers and five brain tumor patients. Acceleration allowed larger spatial coverage and consequently, less lipid contamination in spectra, compared to fully sampled acquisition within the same scantime. Metabolite concentrations measured from the accelerated acquisitions were in good agreement with measurements obtained from fully sampled MRSI scans.  相似文献

We study the statistical properties of population dynamics evolving in a realistic two-dimensional compressible turbulent velocity field. We show that the interplay between turbulent dynamics and population growth and saturation leads to quasilocalization and a remarkable reduction in the carrying capacity. The statistical properties of the population density are investigated and quantified via multifractal scaling analysis. We also investigate numerically the singular limit of negligibly small growth rates and delocalization of population ridges triggered by uniform advection.  相似文献
